Swedish Heavy Metal Icons Dark Funeral Announce New Vocalist

Sweden's Black Metal band, Dark Funeral, have officially announced the replacement for longtime vocalist Magus Caligula (Emperor). Here is the statement from guitarist Lord Ahriman:

"It surely was not an easy task to find a worthy replacement for Emperor Magus Caligula, who has been doing an amazing job for DARK FUNERAL during the past 15 years. He has not only been 'the vocalist' for the band, but also a very good friend and he always will be! Anyway, ten months of intense searching worldwide has finally given result and I'm very proud to announce and welcome Nachtgarm to the horde.

I think I can speak for everyone in the band and say that besides completely knocking us down with the strength of his vocals and wide register, what truly blew us away was his presence, energy and the amazing spirit he showed during the final audition. He just came into the rehearsal room and took his rightful spot. And then just set the whole place on hellfire!

It's really hard to explain 'that' certain feeling one is looking for, but once you get it, you just know that you've found the right man for the job. And that is something we all got 'deluxe.' No doubt about that! Mankind has no idea what is coming upon them. And I can't wait to bring this maniac on tour for the world to experience DARK FUNERAL in the most intense and hellish way ever!

During the time we've been looking for a new vocalist and drummer, we've received over 1000 applications. The interest to join Dark Funeral has been way over expectation and quite overwhelming to say the least. And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who applied for the jobs. One thing is for sure: There are a lot of unknown talents out there. And once they've found the right band to deliver their goods, I'm sure we all will hear from many of these guys in the future. Good luck!"

Guitarist Chaq Mol comments: "When E.M. Caligula quit the band my first thought was, 'how the fuck will we be able to find a worthy replacement now?' In my eyes, he was the best vocalist in the black metal scene. After we had listened to a couple of hundred applicants, there were two guys that really stood out and sounded very promising. The question was, would they nail it on a live audition too, and would their personalities be of the kind we were looking for? Well, after ten months, we finally found the right man for the job! And all my previous doubts and concerns are now a memory forgotten. Nachtgarm, welcome to the horde!"

Adds Nachtgarm: "To me, Dark Funeral is the epitome of Black Metal. To be a member of this institution now, is not only a big honor for me, but is also complementing my work as a lead singer as well as my action at the front of the stage throughout the years. Consequently, I am very glad that DARK FUNERAL put their unholy faith in me and my abilities. As the successor of Emperor Magus Caligula, I am quite aware of the high expectations being directed to my person. However, I can assure every one of you out there that with every breath I take I will live up to these expectations. Hands down. This is the arrival of Satan’s Empire. Now let us set this world aflame!"

In related news, Dark Funeral have been added to the 70000 Tons Of Metal bill for 2012. The World's Biggest Floating Heavy Metal Festival will sail Monday, January 23, 2012 aboard the Royal Caribbean “Majesty Of The Seas” from Miami, Florida to George Town, Cayman Islands and will return Friday, January 27, 2012. Other bands confirmed for the event include: Amorphis, Coroner, Moonsorrow, My Dying Bride, Nightwish, Pestilence Therion and many others. Ticket prices start at US $666 plus US $289 taxes and fees per person and include all on-board entertainment, non-alcoholic/non-carbonated beverages, all meals at the dining rooms and most on-board restaurants. There's even 24-hour room service!

Suffocation Update for their Fans at Hometown Show

Last Sunday (June 26) Technical Death Metal masters Suffocation took over center stage at the Crazy Donkey, in Farmingdale, New York, and delivered a ferocious set to their hometown audience. From the moment they stepped on stage they unleashed a sonic assault that resulted in a lot of face melting within the crowd. The band took the audience through a chaotic roller-coaster which encompassed material from each of their six studio albums. The band was also celebrating guitarists Derek Boyers' birthday, so the crowd sang Happy Birthday to him at full volume.

After 20+ years in the business, Suffocation is taking time to see if the music industry will help the band take their career to a whole new level so that they can release some new music and go on bigger scale tours. We talked with drummer Mike Smith (interview below) and he confirmed to us that they will finally be releasing a new DVD titled "Legacy of Violence" soon, but that the exact release date can't be confirmed yet, since it depends on the support that they get from the industry. After doing some soul searching, the band realized that putting in so much time and effort for such little results, is not fair to them. Here is what Smith had to say about this:

"The fans and the bands in this music know the score. They know what's happening. It's just the industry still doesn't know that extreme and that side of living is relevant, and worth money. But they'll get it."

Suffocation's ultimate goal is to enter the studio to record their seventh studio album once the DVD picks up momentum, and to go on a bigger scale tour. Rest assured that the band is not going anywhere, but its hard times in the music industry so they have to be smart of how they operate.

Here is the exclusive interview we did with Suffocation's drummer Mike Smith after their hometown show at the Crazy Donkey:

Scott Ian from Anthrax on Killer Cover of Decibel Magazine

Anthrax is gearing up for two major events this year: The release of their 10th studio album titled "Worship Music" (Click here to Download "Fight'em 'til You Can't"), and for the first Big 4 show in the East Coast of the United States at Yankee Stadium in New York City. Coincidentally, the band will drop their heavily anticipated album the day before the big show!

In celebration of all things Heavy, Anthrax' icon guitar player Scott Ian graces the cover of the August issue of Decibel Magazine. For the magazine's first gatefold in five years, the editors enlisted the talents of Henry & Glenn Forever co-creator Tom Neely to (literally) illustrate the flourishing bond between extreme music and extreme underground comics. As the movement's best-known face - and certainly Metal's best-known chin - Scott discusses his work for DC Comics, his take on the current graphic arts scene, and how it all fits together with Anthrax and Metal in general.

Charetta: New Album, New Video, CD Listening Party & Irving Plaza Takeover

New York's "Sweet Rocking" band Charetta, have been working hard on their next big move during the last year. After months of mysterious silence, yesterday (June 29) the band premiered a brand new video for their song "Lights Out" (which you can view below). Charetta will also be hosting a CD Listening party tomorrow (July 1) at Double Down Saloon in New York City were they will be presenting their brand new album titled "A Nation Distracted" (to be released on July 21). They will also be performing their entire new album for the first time ever at the Gotham Rocks third year anniversary concert at Irving Plaza, also in New York City. The band will be performing along with Killcode, The August Infinity, Sweet Fix, Bound by Substance, Woods of Arden and Crush Of Empires.

Charetta started when musicians guitarist Pablo LaFrossia and drummer Adonis Sanchez, who have been part of the New York rock scene for years, decided to start a band that would be all about the "Sweet Rocking". Don't get confused though, Charetta will keep your head banging throughout their entire set. While many bands perform better on smaller stages, Charetta has proved that they can play on a big stage like they did at the Highline Ballroom for the two year anniversary of Gotham Rocks, and that they can also play at more intimate venues like at the Best Buy store here in New York City.

“A Nation Distracted” was recorded at Vudu Studios with producers Mike Watts (Story of the Year, Theory of a Deadman) and Steven Haigler (Fuel, Brand New). “Great grooves, monster riffs, and killer vocals,” says Watts.

Artist biography:

Charetta (pronounced “sha-RET-uh”) consists of Angelina DelCarmen (vocals), Pablo LaFrossia (guitar), Chris Fullam (guitar), Richard Mollo (bass), and Adonis Sanchez (drums). The band started in 2007 when Pablo and Adonis, who were long-time friends and veterans of the local scene, wanted to start a new project with an amazing vocalist. Through a Myspace posting, they found Angelina. “She sang on our demos and just blew us away. One audition was all we needed to hear,” says Adonis. It was at that time the project was named, but the band prefers to keep the meaning of Charetta a mystery. Only their most dedicated fans know their secret. Several months and many auditions later, the band added Richard as their permanent bassist, and the band’s foundation was born.

In July 2009, the band released their debut album “Defying the Inevitable” which was produced by Brett Hestla (Creed, Dark New Day). Since then, Charetta has made countless appearances in the Northeast region (opening for national acts such as Saliva and Smile Empty Soul), put out a music video for “Runs In The Blood,” and have had their music featured in the independent film release “5th of a Degree,” as well as the television program “The Mun2 Look” on Mun2. In late 2010, before going into the studio to record what would become “A Nation Distracted,” the band added Chris as their second guitarist. “Chris and I have similar styles. We are both heavily influenced by Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge), so it was a very natural fit,” shares Pablo. Now a 5-piece, the band is performing regionally to promote their upcoming release.

Philip Hansen Anselmo Celebrates his 43th Birthday

Pantera's legendary front-man, arguably the most controversial front-man in Heavy Music history, is celebrating his 43th birthday today. Philip Hansen Anselmo was born on June 30, 1968, in New Orleans, Louisiana. His musical career has not only impacted millions of screamers worldwide thanks to his work with Patnera, Down, Superjoint Ritual and various other side projects, but today he is also the owner of Housecore Records: a record label that specializes in underground music. Here is Anselmo in his own words:

"Let me hear you make some noise before we get out of here, let me hear you loud... That sucks! Let me hear you louder! Now to listen to me. When we came on this goddamn stage we said that we are the Kings of Metal, and I do believe that fucking wholeheartedly... because I'll tell you right now: We are the ones that never let you down and fucking sold out on you and kissed ass to the goddamn fucking status quo. We are a Heavy Metal band man! We are a fucking Heavy Metal band! And goddamn we are great... oh shit, we are awesome! Goddamn!" - Phil Anselmo on stage at the end of their performance at Ozzfest 2000

"I may be loaded. I may be drunk. But I ain't stupid." - Phil Anselmo while on tour in 1996

"If I have to pick five songs, they are: At Dawn They Sleep by Slayer, The Battle of
Evermore by Led Zeppelin, Drowning Man by U2, Blind by Swans, Painted Black by the Rolling Stones, A Day in the Life by The Beatles, and I got one more, The Prophet Song by Queen." Phil Anselmo answering his fans questions via Ustream in 2010.

"Speaking of stage freight. I was terrified! It was in NOLA at an all ages show. I was wearing Jeans, a Van Halen t-shirt, and a bandana on my neck. Once I gripped that microphone stand, I did not let go! I plugged my microphone into a guitar FX pedal. Then at the end of the a Black Sabbath song we were covering, I hit the guitar pedal. It was horrific!" - Phil Anselmo discussing his first time onstage

"If you see a guy holding his girl to this next song, knock him on his fucking ass!" - Phil Anselmo while on stage in Europe with Pantera in 1997

"Burn this motherfucker to the ground if ya'll want!" - Phil Anselmo on stage at Ozzfest 2000 in Nashville. The place was destroyed after the show, as a result Ozzfest was banned for 4 years in Nashville.

"Don't underestimate the kid, you're fucking crazy if you do. And I am the kid." - Phil Anselmo while taping "Pantera: Behind the Music" for VH1.

"I thought I could do anything and there wasn't a damn thing that could beat me...I was wrong." Phil Anselmo discussing his addiction to heroine.

"Drink beer, smoke dope, and eat pussy until your jaw breaks" - Phil Anselmo while on stage with Superjoint Ritual at Ozzfest 2004

"I've always been and had a mentality for what the alternate kid would want to hear and I don't necessarily mean alternative, because alternative - the use of the word over the years - has made the entire situation unalternative. About as unalternative as it gets." Phil Anselmo ranting about Alternative Music

"Actually I have no idea what I just said, but I love ya'lls response!"

"I can easily say I've done everything I've wanted in music." - Phil Anselmo

Bury Your Dead "Mosh N' Roll" Roots!

New England Metalcore masters Bury Your Dead have a new album titled "Mosh N' Roll" (to be released on August 2 via Mediaskare Records) and after listening to their new song "Bluebeard" (courtesy of Noisecreep), its evident that the band has returned to their heavier roots. This will be their sixth studio album. Here is the Official press release:

Returning to the mic for the first time since 2007, Mat Bruso leads the band (guitarist Brendan “Slim” MacDonald, and drummer Mark Castillo) through a sonic hailstorm of vicious ferocity on eleven blistering tracks of intense hardcore and metal.

“In the years I spent away from Bury Your Dead, I spent a lot of time thinking of all the things I could say on tour or on a record that I can’t get away with saying in the real world,” explains Bruso. “I would listen to the old stuff and think, “I can’t believe that I used to yell this and kids would yell it right back.” Doesn’t work like that in the real world. I never thought I was the kind of guy who needed to write poetry or lyrics to get by; I just enjoyed doing it. But, I found myself scribbling things down and repeating lines to an imaginary song in my head all day at work, “You’re not getting older, you’re just getting old,” over and over again. I jumped at the chance to get some of these lyrics off my chest, doing guest vocals for Four Year Strong and The Ghost Inside. So when Bury Your Dead asked me if I wanted to do another record, well, fuck yes. “

Featuring eleven furious Hardcore Metal anthems like “Slaughterhouse-Five,” “Bluebeard” and “Slapstick,” Mosh ‘n’ Roll recaptures the inflamed spirit of Bury Your Dead’s early records as the band dives fist first into the pit for one of the year’s most torrential Metalcore albums.

“This record has some of the heaviest songs Bury Your Dead has ever written, and lyrically it is my favorite,” adds Bruso. “Marks feet do all the things we have come to expect them to, and Slim chugs so much, I don’t even think his guitar is making notes half the time. The whole thing is written to be played live. It speeds up for two-step parts live and slows the fuck down for some incredibly violent breakdowns. I say some of my favorite things ever. It continues the themes of family and forgiveness, but abandons whinny tour lyrics and is just the most bitter and angry stuff we could muster. I am still Edge, but some of the lyrics she proposed were about drinking and I feel like they worked as metaphor for shitty destructive decisions we all make, and it gets me so pumped just thinking about playing them live.”

Bury Your Dead has sold over 300,000 albums worldwide and have toured with bands like: Korn, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Chimaira, Deftones, Suicide Silence, Stone Sour, Shadows Fall, Cavalera Conspiracy, The Dillinger Escape Plan among many others. The band will be headlining the Over The Limit 2 Tour this summer with Evergreen Terrace, For The Fallen Dreams, In The Midst of Lions, Thick As Blood, Betrayal, Hundredth and Murder Death Kill supporting followed by a Headlining European tour in August.

Mastodon Debut NEW Adult Swim Video for "Deathbound"

Mastodon never stops pushing the envelope and they always awe their thousands of worldwide fans with their original way of making music, producing videos, and performing on stage. The band is currently busy in Europe for a summer tour that includes Sonisphere Festival (all dates), Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Roskilde Festivals and more. They will also be performing at The Gorge in Seattle on July 30 with Soundgarden, the Meat Puppets, and Queens of the Stone Age.

The band has also been working on their fifth studio album titled "The Hunter" (tentatively scheduled for an October release). The majority of the album was recorded at Doppler Studios in Atlanta, Georgia with producer Mike Elizondo. The drums were tracked at Sound City Studios, which is were Nirvana recorded their hit album "Nevermind". Some confirmed songs are:

- "Blasteroids"
- "The Octopus Has No Friends"
- "Stargasm"
- "Curl of the Burl"
- "All the Heavy Lifting"
- "The Sparrow"
- "The Ruiner"
- "Dry Bone Valley"

"When you listen to the songs, they don't sound as 'fun' as we perceive them to be, I guess; it's still pretty extremely heavy material. We had a few songs that were kind of, not left over from 'Crack The Skye', but just stuff that we wanted to be on that album, but that album kind of took on a whole different thing of its own and there were a few stragglers that were super-heavy and crazy that didn't make it, and we finally got to put them on this record. And then we wrote a whole bunch of brand new stuff. There's, like, 14 songs that we recorded. And it's sort all over the place — a lot of different sounds. Some straight-up classic-rock-sounding songs, straight-up death metal-sounding songs and some completely bizarre, weirdo rock songs that we're not really sure what they are, but we love them." - Brann Dailor (On Metal Hammer)

Without further due, here is the NEW video by Mastodon for "Deathbound" (previously unreleased song from "Crack the Skye"). The song is part of the ten-week 2011 "Adult Swim Singles Program (Click to download the song)."

Behemoth is Back in Black!

As we all know, Behemoth had to take a forced break when their vocalist/guitar Adam "Nergal" Darski was diagnosed with Leukemia early last year. In order for Nergal to get the treatment he needed, his fans united in order to find him a match that could donate some bone marrow in order for Nergal to be able to get a bone marrow transplant. Following the chemo therapy, and the bone marrow transplant, today Nergal is cancer free!

After over a year of not rehearsing together, Behemoth are back in the rehearsal space working on old and new songs. This is what Nergal had to say about this:

"Sooo, first rehearsals after the transplant are under our belts! I didn't want to get overexcited at first, just wanted to see how things would go, but I have to tell you… the second rehearsal we fuckin' nailed "Ov Fire And The Void", "Lucifer", "Conquer All" or "Antichristian Phenomenon" flawlessly! One of us even asked: 'Did we really take a year off from each other?' Ha ha… it was good times in great company! But the biggest surprise were the songs we NEVER played live ever and planning to do on the upcoming "Phoenix Rising Tour". I won't reveal any names yet, let it be a mystery til we hit the stage, all right?"

"In other news, I started jamming out some NEW shit too… too early to give any further comments but it sounds VERY disturbing and eerie. Can't fuckin wait to unleash those ideas to my friends…"

We are very stoked to be able to report that Behemoth is back in black, and gearing up for many more years of killer music! Nergal, we are happy to have you back, and that you are healthy again! \m/

Weak of Wanting Delivers Gentle Fury

A few weeks ago we posted a poll about which underground Heavy Music band the fans wanted to see featured on Horns Up Rocks, Weak of Wanting took the honors with a massive amount of votes from their loyal fan-base. We had the chance to interview their front lady Lisa 'Gruffalo' Brown, and it immediately became clear that this band is cutting their own path and presenting to the masses very honest music with no limitations. Here is the interview:

Horns Up Rocks: Lisa, tell us about the formation of Weak of Wanting.

Lisa: The guitarist and I have been jamming on and off since we were in school, and a year and a half ago we decided to make a go for it and form a band together. We just got ourselves a drummer and a bassist, who are still learning the songs with the intention of us all moving on as a 4 piece. Craig (Drums) and Alan (Bass) have been playing in bands together for a few years too.

Horns Up Rocks: Why do you think has helped Weak of Wanting gain a decent amount of fans in such a short period of time?

Lisa: I think that keeping up with the fan-base helps... talking to the fans and not just throwing status messages up and ignoring them when they ask questions, we see a lot of bands that do this and we hear there fans complaints about it. We stay active and have constant promotion, networking and we also helping out other musicians, promoters... all of which often involves very little sleep and what seems like very little come back, but maybe it is paying off, I hope it is.

Horns Up Rocks: How influential was the British Wave of Heavy Metal to the bands music?

Lisa: It was very influential on Craig and Alan but less so on myself and Ben the guitarist, as we are not the Metal heads in the band.

Horns Up Rocks: What's the message that Weak of Wanting wants to convey to the music world?

Lisa: We don't really have a message, we never expected to get this far, we just do what we love doing and hope others can enjoy it or find some comfort in it. We often hear that our music helped people in some way or another, mentally, emotionally or otherwise.

Horns Up Rocks: What's in the agenda for Weak of Wanting for the next year?

Lisa: The plan is to get a decent CD out to the fans as we've promised, hopefully do some more shows and festivals preferably as a 4 piece. A decent record deal would always go down nicely but otherwise I'll keep on at it myself, which doesn't look like too much of a daunting prospect considering all the very poor record labels out there that are dying on there arses 10 to the dozen anyhow.

- Artist Biography:

Weak Of Wanting are a new and quickly rising act in the Alternative Rock scene, in their first year they have already been MySpace band of the week, are the highest rated band on Vampirefreaks.com (a leading alternative culture website) and have amassed well over 10,000 fans worldwide. The band has a vibrant and active internet community surrounding them, meaning that wherever they play they will have support. Their influences are PJ Harvey, Alter Bridge and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Lisa (the vocalist) is the face and epic voice of Weak of Wanting. Though she looks sweet and innocent she is known for her powerful vocal range and haunting timbre. She spent a lot of her early singing career in punk bands and since leaving them, has spent many years training and refining her vocal style which is now unique and beautiful. Her writing style is almost sub conscious and is on a very emotional level but despite this she is a very professional musician and remains humble about her looks and rising fame, she speaks directly to her fans all the time and feels very strongly that the band should take the time to thank people for the support whenever they can.

Ben (guitarist) has spent almost as long being a sound engineer as he has playing the guitar and spends a great deal of time considering the shaping of the bands overall sound. His original idea was to try and create a lot of dynamic and ambient changes to suit Lisa’s voice and showcase his own abilities, knowing they only had two instruments he filled there mixes with a mixture of contrasting mixture heavy overdubs and minimalism to create the dynamic shifts he wanted as well as a combination of drone notes and open voiced chords to add harmonic interest.

Craig and Alan are both friends of each other and Ben, as he recorded one of Alan’s earlier Metal projects, although they are very recent additions to the band they are formidable song writers in there own right and very experienced musicians. The early practices have been excellent the band gel incredibly quickly and were able to improvise fluidly from the very first day. There addition to the band has been the stepping stone Weak Of Wanting have been waiting for to go out and do some real gigs and finally connect in person with there large fan group

- Vital Statistics:

\m/ LINEUP:

- Nick Serr: Vocals
- Jared Zipeg: Lead Guitars
- Ben Serr: Guitars & Backing Vocals
- Andrew Czegledi: Drums
- Spencer Guttenberg: Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals

\m/ YEAR OF FORMATION: 2005

\m/ ORIGIN: Long Island, New York

\m/ MISSION: To create an undeniable presence and to captivate any audience.

\m/ BIOGRAPHY:

Lies Beneath is a five-piece Metal band with influences ranging from Thrash, to Death Metal and Hardcore. With classic dual-guitar attack, a crushing rhythm section, dynamic vocals and brooding soundscapes, this band creates an undeniable presence and demands captivation from any audience.

Lies Beneath is a product of two different bands that were originally formed by guitarists Ben Serr and Jared Zipes. With the two founding members trading off on guitar and bass, the beginnings of Lies Beneath began forming amidst the trial-and-error of changing lineups. With the consolidation of these two outfits, Lies Beneath officially formed in 2005 with Serr on guitar and vocals, Zipes on lead guitar, with the addition of Steve Inoshima on bass and Andrew Czegledi on drums. The band began heavily gigging the underground Long Island metal scene, quickly gaining a dedicated following.

In the Summer of 2006, the band set out to record their first effort entitled "The Eidolon," a self-released LP featuring titles like "Exposure," "Mind Inside The Massacre," and "Combat Ready." Upon the album’s release, Lies Beneath began experiencing new heights of popularity. Constantly gigging the underground scene, they appeared at some of Long Island and NYC’s biggest clubs including Don Hills, The Knitting Factory, and The Crazy Donkey where they opened for Kittie and Walls of Jericho.

In the summer of 2007 the band completed the roster by adding lead singer Nick Serr. In addition to being guitarist Ben Serr’s brother, he is also the founding vocalist of the NY-based prog metalcore band Engine, and brutal post-thrash group Resolution15. With the addition of Nick’s growls and soaring vocal lines, Lies Beneath was ready to unleash their crushing sound to new audiences.

In September of 2007 Lies Beneath appeared at Locobazooka at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA. Thousands of new fans caught a glimpse of some of the band's newest material when they shared the stage with Shadows Fall as they warmed up for Heaven and Hell, Alice Cooper, and Queensryche. With the help of Corey Unger, guitarist and founder of the seminal New England hardcore group Blood Has Been Shed, Lies Beneath is currently writing and recording new material for their forthcoming album entitled "Death of the American Dream" due for release in the Winter of 2011.

Today, we present to you a brand new song titled "Vlad Tepes". Crank it up and come see them live this upcoming weekend!

"Vlad Tepes" is named after Vlad III (aka "Dracula" or "Vlad the Impaler"), who ruled Wallachia (Transylvania) from 1456-1462. He was well known for his resistance against the expansion of the Ottoman empire, and earned his surname "Tepes" from his reputation of impaling his enemies. The name "Dracula" stems from the name "Drakulya" or "son of the dragon." His father, Vlad Dracul, was a proud member of the Order of the Dragon, who were sworn to protect the cross from all enemies of Christianity (namely the Ottoman Turks).

In terms of the album's storyline, the song is somewhat of a "look into the not-so-distant past" from the eyes of the "main character" and makes a comparison between the tyrant of the 15th century and present-day tyrant of similar proportions (it's up to the listener to determine who that real-life political figure might be). The lyrical content definitely leads the listener to certain conclusion if they recognize all of the clues. It's one of history's unheeded warnings rearing its ugly head to repeat itself.

Live Footage of Cavalera Conspiracy in Eindhoven, Holland

Cavalera Conspiracy are currently busy on the road in support of their second full-length album titled "Blunt Force Trauma" (released on March 29 via Roadrunner Records). The live footage below proves that whenever you put the Cavalera brothers (Max and Iggor) in front of large audience, nobody leaves without a few bruises! As we all know, the Cavalera brothers formed the legendary Brazilian Heavy Metal band Sepultura in 1984, and single handily changed the phase of Heavy Music forever. While neither of them are in Sepultura anymore (even though they should be), they are still spreading artistic terrorism with the music that they have been creating with Cavalera Conspiracy. The other members of the band include: guitar virtuoso Mark Rizzo and bassist Johnny Chow.

Without further due, here is live footage of the band's performance last night (June 25) at Effenaar in Eindhoven, Holland! Footage recorded & posted by ovd806.
