JOB FOR A COWBOY Issue Tour Wrap-Up As They Prepare To Demolish Ear Drums At The Summer Slaughter Tour!
Death Metallers JOB FOR A COWBOY recently returned from the uber successful Metal Alliance Tour. The band performed alongside The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood, Impending Doom, Wretched, and headliners, Devildriver. Commented bassist Nick Schendzielos of the trek: "So we just finished up with the Metal Alliance tour. We had an absolutely killer time gettin' all loco with all our friends. We're also super brammed everyone's diggin’ the new tunes, which you'll be hearing more of in Japan, Puerto Rico, and of course Summer Slaughter! Thanks to everyone for picking up the new record, and make sure to hit us up on our Facebook to tell us what songs from Demonocracy you want us to play. See you soon!"
The band will bring their ruckus to Japan next month and wreak some havoc in June in San Juan, Puerto Rico before kicking off the Summer Slaughter Festival 2012! JOB FOR A COWBOY will be touring in support of their brand NEW studio recording, 'Demonocracy', released in North America on April 10 through Metal Blade Records. The intricate, Jason Suecof-produced offering tackles various political and economic themes and continues to impressed fans and critics alike. About.com notes: “Demonocracy affords JOB FOR A COWBOY another album to legitimize their Death Metal sound, which was set forth starting with 'Ruination'… Bringing in guitarist Tony Sannicandro and Cephalic Carnage bassist Nick Schendzielos translates to dynamics not heard on any JOB FOR A COWBOY album to date,” Ultimate-Guitar boasts: “The album plays like a constant assault, and while never backing off it still manages to add enough structure for individual songs to become memorable,” adding that, “the soloing is surprisingly catchy and well-executed while still managing to sit well in the context of the songs,” while Alternative Press calls Demonocracy "an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record." Decibel agrees crowning the record a “…very stronger exercise in slickly-produced, technically sound Death Metal smart enough to know that a little variety can do a tech-death band a world of good.”

SIX FEET UNDER's Chris Barnes Talks About 'UNDEAD' & How Cannabis Aids His Musical Power!
Recently, we had the chance to chat with Death Metal screamer/legend Chris Barnes from the mighty SIX FEET UNDER about the band's forthcoming NEW full-length, 'Undead'. With an updated lineup featuring Barnes alongside guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson (ex-Massacre), bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile), and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Chimaira), 'Undead' finds the band revitalized and spewing forth some of their most uncompromising, provocative and plainly scathing tunes of their career. 'Undead' was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver), mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy), at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida and is scheduled for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.
During the conversation, we chatted with Chris about how Cannabis aids his musical power and about all the touring plans that are on already scripted on the SIX FEET UNDER agenda. So grab your smoke, lay back, crank it up, and check out our interview with Chris Barnes from SIX FEET UNDER!!!

Comments Barnes: "We want to get out there and pretty much destroy. We want to play to as many people as possible, and show all of the fans out there the new songs, and leave nothing but a trail of blood in our wake. We're hoping that whoever makes body bags are upping their output, because after this record comes out there'll be a lot of decomposing bodies out there!

SLAYER's Dave Lombardo Side Project PHILM Announce Video Chat; Record Release To Take Place On May 15!
PHILM, the Los Angeles power trio featuring Slayer's Dave Lombardo, War's Pancho Tomaselli and Gerry Nestler of Civil Defiance, are taking fan questions on May 1st at 4 PM Eastern/1 PM Pacific via live video chat site Yowie.com (http://www.yowie.com/videochat/60z-philm).
The three-piece have a busy month ahead with a May 15 release of their debut album, 'Harmonic', and a hometown show that evening at The Viper Room.
"When people hear about my involvement in PHILM, they automatically assume that it will compare to Slayer's sound," explains Lombardo. "They couldn't be more different. I have scaled down my drum set to a four-piece, reminiscent of the drummers from the late '60s that influenced me. Each song is unique in itself, I like to refer to it as 'rhythmic emotion." It's almost like taking all the heavy songs of the '60s and bringing that era to a modern plateau, then blending them with the modern trance and psychedelic sounds of today."
"We decided to record 'Harmonic' in the intimate setting of a home, with various vintage recording equipment," says Lombardo on the band's debut album. "The music was written collectively in an improvisational manner, unlike the majority of recordings I've done before. This was very important given this is my first recording where I'm carrying the title of Producer and performer. The album achieves a dense, unholy convergence of tones and discords. We also touch on haunting, desolate, ambient sounds. Our music tends to be written in a manner where we never know the outcome until we listen back to what we recorded. A 'Harmonic' journey."
A highly anticipated release, PHILM officially took form in late 2010 with a handful of tour dates and an early four-song demo that quickly began to make the rounds of in-the-know music critics. Noisecreep said the band "has crafted a crunchy, Thrashy, yet thoroughly unclassifiable sound" and the OC Weekly said of the trio: "PHILM's ability to melt down Metal influences and mix them with the elements of Funk, ambient Jazz and Punk... is potent and has left audiences wondering how so much noise could emanating from just three musicians."
The song "Area" is streaming right now (courtesy of Terrorizer magazine).
"Harmonic" track listing:
01. Vitriolize
02. Mitch
03. Hun
04. Area
05. Way Down
06. Harmonic
07. Exuberance
08. Sex Amp
09. Amoniac
10. Held in Light
11. Dome
12. Killion
13. Mezzanine
14. Mild
15. Meditation

ROADRUNNER RECORDS' Founder/CEO Cees Wessels Resigns - Statement Available!
As previously reported, ROADRUNNER RECORDS may be closing all of their European Offices, Ed Christman of Billboard.biz has filed the following update:
"In a changing of the guard at Roadrunner Records, founder/CEO Cees Wessels is leaving the label 17 months after the completion of its sale to the Warner Music Group. Concurrent with his departure, approximately 36 staffers worldwide were let go today (April 26th), sources tell Billboard.biz. The exact number was unclear at press time.
"Concurrent with his departure, the label is being realigned so that it will utilize the Warner Music Group for back-office and other support capabilities while retaining frontline label functions like A&R, marketing, promotion and publicity.
"In the U.S., Roadrunner will continue to operate as a standalone frontline label, although 16 staffers in the States are losing their jobs.
"Internationally, Roadrunner's staff will continue to carry out some label functions, such as marketing, promo and publicity. Other responsibilities, principally support functions, will be carried out by Warner Music teams, which means that 20 staffers will lose their jobs.
"Roadrunner, which continues to be a strong brand in rock music, will continue to have personnel in every territory it does currently, with the exception of the Netherlands office, which is being shuttered. Wessels founded the label in the Netherlands in 1980.
"Longtime label President Jonas Nachsin, who has served in that role since 1999, will remain on staff."

ENSLAVED Ink Deal With Nuclear Blast Records - Official Statement Available!
Nuclear Blast is proud to announce the addition of Norwegian progressive/psychedelic Black Metal band ENSLAVED to their worldwide roster. After two successful campaigns in North America with Nuclear Blast USA (via exclusive license from Norway’s Indie Recordings) for their past two albums, 2008’s 'Vertebrae' and 2010’s 'Axioma Ethica Odini', ENSLAVED have signed a worldwide deal. Here is what the band had to say about this:
“We’re very, very (yes, very) pleased and proud to sign this deal with Nuclear Blast worldwide. We’ve already worked with Nuclear Blast US through our two latest albums and our personal friendships with NB guys and gals on both sides of the Atlantic are even older. There’s no drama – we take great pride in the fact that there seldom is with us; it is simply a matter of one contract ending and us going for what seems to be our best option at this point in time and space. This time, the best choice for ENSLAVED is changing things up somewhat. We’re excited to see what the mixture of passion and professionalism at Nuclear Blast can do with the ENSLAVED name in the years to come. There is no doubt that the level of ambition, the experience and seriousness about what we do form perfect common ground for ENSLAVED and Nuclear Blast. We’re in the process of making a new album that will initiate our new partnership. Watch out for the approaching wave of news about that. For now, let’s just say that the album will be an absolute (Nuclear) blast!”
Gerardo MartĂnez, Label Manager for Nuclear Blast USA, adds:
“ENSLAVED is one of the most amazing bands to ever come from Norway. We’ve had the pleasure of working with them on their last two albums in North America, and from this day forth, worldwide. Looking forward their new masterpiece to be unleashed to the masses later in the year!”
ENSLAVED’s NEW album will be released this fall.

haarp on Facebook The Music Industry Takes A Punch To The Stomach; Roadrunner Records Closes International Offices!
Wow! Here is some evidence that the music business is broken, and might never be put back together again like Humpty Dumpty! In 2010, ROADRUNNER RECORDS got bought out by the Warner Music Group and as we all know this always means that the employees are the ones that will take the punch to the stomach via either salary reductions or by simply put: being "fired". While there had already been someone layoffs at ROADRUNNER RECORDS, today the hammer went down hard on their UK and Canadian employees.
According to various sources, ROADRUNNER RECORDS is closing their UK and Canadian offices. Apparently, their German office will face the same destiny. What about their U.S. team? Well, there are rumors that some staff members have been dismissed ever since WMG took over ROADRUNNER. The label has obviously been very quiet about this extreme situation! So far the only "statement" regarding this matter was this Twit by @ROADRUNNER_UK:
"What a day..."
Here is what TRIVIUM's front man Matt Heafy Twitted regarding this sad truth:
“I wish I knew who or what to blame specifically, and chew off it’s heads – but Roadrunner records just fired some of their best employees,” he said. “I don’t know if it’s corporate greed or it’s due to the fact that no one puts value in physical art and that piracy created a domino effect, but our friends who are being tossed away so quickly by the label are now out of jobs. These people helped bands get where they are today. Wanna defend piracy? Do what you do for me and 10,000 others for free. Whatever your trade is – give me that for free or you’re a jerk. The real issue aside from whatever caused it is that in an industry NEEDING loyal people – higher-ups in their cushy desks wrote them off. Regardless of your stance, we all work for a living. I do what I do to pay RENT. If I wanted millions, I’d be in pop music. And the real fact of the matter is that I am pissed off at my GREEDY record label for canning my friends who helped build our band. My heart goes out to my friends who have been delivered this awful news today. You helped us get where we are. You’re in our thoughts. Truth is: I love Roadrunner. I'm upset with what happened to the people I care about. Roadrunner helped build the Metal that I love. And to address the other topic from my heat of battle. Technology is required in life. Technology in music reaches far beyond the physical.. In most places of the world, it's all bootlegged – there isn't officially a music market – people need to download music, or not even get it. The times are changing. Yes. Completely true. But the main thing is that we need to treat people like we want to be treated… Of course I'll be emotional when it has to do with people I love and care and respect for helping me. If I blew up on the wrong parties… Then I apologize. But. The main point is that people need to remember, Internet aside-we are dealing with human beings. I feel for my friends. It wasn't ROADRUNNER canning people. It's the "company" who "owns" it. Long live ROADRUNNER (the memory of something that once was great).”
To this Dez Fafara (DevilDriver/COAL CHAMBER) added:
"For you RR closing offices may be about your favorite BAND but in reality it's about the PEOPLE WHO MADE YOU AWARE OF YOUR FAVORITE BAND that worked at RR! From the Girl answering the phone to the ART department to the A&R who FOUND your favorite band in some small club and WORKED to sign them! To the PRESS persons who work day and night to get your favorite BAND in Mags on websites etc so they became visible and had a Shot at making their dreams come true! So while you want to worry and it's alright to do so for YOUR FAVORITE RR BAND/you should stop and take a moment to think about all the jobs lost, families out of work and band that will be getting dropped. You should TAKE THE TIME TO THANK IN WRITING ALL THE HARD WORKING PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES THAT BELIEVED IN YOUR FAVORITE BAND BEFORE YOU EVEN HEARD THEIR NAMES …."
While METAL BLADE RECORDS' CEO Brian Slagel stated:
"Sad to see the closing of our friends at Roadrunner in Europe and the UK. What happened today to Roadrunner is one of the biggest reasons I never sold to a major. When we started 30 years ago we worked with Roadrunner. They distributed our stuff in Europe and we did their stuff in the USA. Sad day. We always had a great relationship with everyone at Roadrunner from Cees Wessels on down. Great label, sorry to see so many out of work. The music business changes all the time. Please support the bands and labels you like. Thanks!"

HATEBREED's Jamey Jasta: "There's A Good Chance We'll Do A 10 Years Of 'Perseverance' Tour"
This year marks the 10 year anniversary of HATEBREED's jaw breaking album 'Perseverance'. Released in March 12, 2002 via Universal Records, 'Perseverance' was the bands second studio album and it changed the phase of Heavy Music. With anthems such as "I Will Be Heard" and "Perseverance", the band reached unforeseeable musical horizons with their dangerous blend of Heavy Metal and Hardcore. Here is an interview we conducted with Jamey Jasta at this year's REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW, in which he updates the fans in all thing HATEBREED!
"Hatebreed has motivated me to make something of myself. When I was 25 I was arrested when I got out I was court ordered to go to rehab. While in there I learned that I had been evicted and my car had been reposessed and my girlfriend left me. My family pretty much disowned me and I felt like my world was crashing down. I got out of rehab and took a bus to college and talked them into letting me enroll and stay on campus. That was 8 years ago. i graduate in may. Perserverence!" - HATEBREED Fan

Police arrested him without any incidents outside of the Comcast Theater where Coheed and Cambria were scheduled to open up for Soundgarden (the band performed without him). He was charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics. He was released on July 25th after posting a $25,000 bail, and is currently awaiting trial.
The band has announced that Zach Cooper is the NEW bassist of the band via this introductory video:
The band had previously announced, the return of drummer Josh Eppard, as the replacement of Chris Pennie (who quit the band last year). The band is stoked to be back in form, as they are gearing for the "Maiden England" tour with IRON MAIDEN. Here are the tour dates.

Press Conference About Metal Bands Being Detained In Hollywood For Trespassing; Massive Festival Announced!
Complete with several U.S. Military vehicles as well as armed and uniformed troops, the Metal Hammer Trespass America Festival was announced yesterday at The Key Club on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. The Key Club became a military detention camp, all guests received an ID bracelet and had to pass through a caged security check before entering.
Members from several of the Trespass America support line-up - Kyle "Gumby" Gunther from Battlecross, Emmure's Frankie Palmeri and Mark Castillo, Matt Heafy from Trivium, and recently rejoined Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach - all handcuffed and hooded - were marched out onto the stage at the press conference with a military escort. Press conference attendees were then able to view the arrival of headliners Five Finger Death Punch on the club's in-house movie screen; a military convoy transported 5FDP - also handcuffed and hooded - up the Sunset Strip to The Key Club 'detention camp.' Upon arrival, ten U.S Military troops escorted the band through the crowd and onto the stage. Metal Hammer's editor, Alexander Milas, announced the tour and the lineup as the prisoners-cum-musicians were cut out of their handcuffs by the soldiers and pulled of their hoods for the reveal.

Open Letter From AXL ROSE About His Decision To Not Attend GNR's Induction Into Hall Of Fame!
To: Cleveland, Ohio, Guns N’ Roses Fans and everyone who’s shown support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
I seriously didn’t plan on or expect the overwhelmingly positive response and public support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. With such a generous outpouring of solidarity from fans, media outlets, writers and other artists, I’m truly humbled, blown away and unbelievably relieved! To be honest, I thought it would go the other way and was just hoping to weather the storm. As I said, I sincerely didn’t want to disappoint anyone. It gets old being the outlaw even if “it’s only rock and roll”.
It took a lot of focus and soul searching to be sincere and informative while making a genuine effort to be somewhat diplomatic. We made, what I feel, are real efforts to learn about the Hall and the Board, spoke as I said with the president and various members, and though I inducted Elton John and Bernie Taupin in ’94 saying something to the effect of “I’m learning what the Hall’s about…”
I still don’t exactly know or understand what the Hall is or how or why it makes money, where the money goes, who chooses the voters and why anyone or this board decides who, out of all the artists in the world that have contributed to this genre, officially “rock” enough to be in the Hall?
This isn’t an attack. These are genuine issues I don’t have enough verified information on to have more than rough ideas. Certainly not enough information to make any judgments about.
I would like to apologize to Cleveland, Ohio for not apologizing to them beforehand for not attending [the ceremony] in their city. I think they know how much I genuinely love performing there. Cleveland does in fact Rock!!
Now that the smoke’s cleared a little, any desperate, misguided attacks have been just that, a pathetic stab at gossip, some lame vindictiveness, the usual entitlement crap, he’s obsessed, crazy, volatile, a hater. I once bought a homeless woman a slice of pizza who yelled at me she wanted soup. We got her the soup. You can get your own.
Again: HUGE thanks to the fans and to everyone for the incredible public support. My congratulations to the other artists inducted. And my apologies to the city and people of Cleveland, Ohio. I hope you’ll forgive me and we hope to see you again soon!
Keep Rockin’,
Axl
Unlike my open letter to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Guns N’ Roses Fans and Whom It May Concern this was written for GNR’s official website, Facebook account and my personal twitter account and not intended as a press release. If anyone does choose to pick this up as has been done previously I’d appreciate if you’d run in full including this paragraph so as not to give a
partial picture, have things taken out of context or to imply or inadvertently give the impression this was intended for other outlets.

The video for "Under Black Flags We March" can be viewed below (courtesy of Metal Hammer German).
ARCH ENEMY singer Angela Gossow will host the annual Metal Hammer Germany Awards that takes place in Berlin on September 14th, 2012. ARCH ENEMY is nominated in the "Best Band" category and Michael Amott is also nominated as "God Of Riffs". Click here to vote now!
Michael Amott (guitar) comments on the video: "It was a pleasure as always to work with our friend Patric Ullaeus on this video, which will be the fourth clip he's made for us and he really is a consummate professional-- truly excellent stuff! He's captured a very suitable and cool vibe on this one too. The track itself, 'Under Black Flags We March', is a song that we've played at every ARCH ENEMY show since we released the 'Khaos Legions' album last year, we love playing it as it's a change of pace in our frantic live set and it's going down really well with audiences worldwide too. We felt this pounding metal anthem deserved a visual companion, so here it is! A couple of things to listen out for: we had a our new guitarist Nick Cordle throw down a little lick on the song and had audio master Andy Sneap remix the song a little...So, a few minor tweaks here and there to make it something special for this visual/sonic assault! Under Black Flags We March!"

SIX FEET UNDER's Chris Barnes Interviewed By METAL BLADE's BADASS CEO Brian Slagel!
Today Metal Blade TV airs an exclusive interview with SIX FEET UNDER front man/Death Metal veteran Chris Barnes as conducted by Metal Blade CEO Brian Slagel. The clip comes in anticipation of the band's forthcoming NEW full-length, 'Undead'.
In conjunction with the release of 'Undead', SIX FEET UNDER will demolish the masses on a near three-week run of live rituals this June. Dubbed the "18 Nights Of Blood Tour", the journey will begin in Atlanta, Georgia on June 8. Support will be provided by Dying Fetus and Revocation.

THE CULT Reflect Dystopian Youth In Provocative NEW Music Video "For The Animals"!
The Cult's film clip for their new single, "For The Animals," from their forthcoming Choice of Weapon album, reflects the socially and economically divided world that we find ourselves facing. You can watch the video below.
"'For The Animals' is a metaphor for people existing in a realm outside of structured society and what cultural editors deem to be relevant," explains The Cult's lead singer Ian Astbury. "It could be the feral punk rock kids squatting in abandoned homes or the spirited individual who has little regard for social conventions. It's for people who choose not to tow the party line or try to fit in. It's for the free-thinkers who are creative and dynamic."
With the film clip, The Cult has captured the rising tensions and frustration of a growing group of disenfranchised youth. The provocative clip, from visionary director Michelle Peerali and starring hot young actress Hanna Mosqueda as the lead character, portrays the 19-year-old protagonist transforming from a lost and abandoned youth, overwhelmed by the state of the world large and at her own poor economic status and broken family at home, into an empowered strong woman who finds her inner strength in the end.
In the film clip, we see the lead character navigate a chaotic world looking for an answer only to realize in the end that what she was looking for all along was within her the whole time. "She realizes that the only solution for change is actually within her. It's about her self-awareness, inner strength, and waking her internal life, realizing she has to take command of the situation and has the power to break through," says Astbury, who appears in a cameo role along with band mates Billy Duffy (guitar), John Tempesta (drums), and Chris Wyse (bass). "In the end, she finds others who feel the same way. The message being, 'if you feel you don't fit it, it's okay. There are others out there. The tribe is there.'"
As Astbury sings in "For The Animals," the song and film clip is "for all the fucked up children staring down the barrel of a gun," a real and metaphorical image, the social, economic, and environmental cards this generation of youth has been dealt. It's a theme that is put into sharp focus by an aware Astbury on the band's new album, Choice of Weapon, due May 22 on Cooking Vinyl.
"Your choice of weapon can be anything you use to deal with your world. It could be self-knowledge. I think we're at a crossroads, as individuals and as a society, to define our intentions in life. What do you choose to do with your life? What do you need to really flourish? How do I not get stuck being a slave to convention? And as the character in the film clip writes on the wall, 'How many more ways will they find to reinvent boredom?'"
These are just some of the observations The Cult shares in "For the Animals" and on Choice of Weapon.
This is a new world.
A new fight.
A new Cult.

CANNIBAL CORPSE Announce Australian Tour + Summer Slaughter Headlining Dates Revealed!
After three long torturous years, Death Metal titans, CANNIBAL CORPSE, return to Australia for a sarcophagic frenzy of sordid and demented proportions! Set to commence on October 4, the band will ravage five cities — Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth — in support of their latest and ceaselessly hostile full-length, 'Torture'.

"Trespass America" Launches Inaugural Tour In Conjunction With Metal Hammer (UK)!
Introducing TRESPASS AMERICA, a newly minted music festival set on revitalizing the metal scene with some of the most current and credible bands in hard rock/metal. A co-production with Trespass America and Metal Hammer, the biggest metal magazine in the U.K., the tour kicks off July 13 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, and will cover 31 cities in two months between July and August across the United States. Ticket on-sales begin this Friday, April 27; log onto www.trespassamerica.com for complete details.
Opening the show will be newcomers BATTLECROSS, the most-played new band on the SiriusXM channel, "Liquid Metal." New Jersey monsters GOD FORBID, who just released a brand new album Equilibrium, will stir up the circle pits with new songs and hits spanning their long career. Deathcore masters EMMURE are coming out swinging in support of their new album, Slave to the Game. Michigan's POP EVIL will carry the torch of grassroots hard rock to the crowd, while the melodic guitar thrash of TRIVIUM and the reunited lineup of metalcore legends KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will bring a crushing intensity to Trespass America.
Headlining the power-packed Trespass America Festival is FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, the new heavy weight champs of the metal scene, with nine consecutive top ten radio hits, four Golden God awards, two certified Gold records (and a third in the making). Monstrous light shows and sold-out arenas have marked the path of 5FDP's meteoric rise. In a few short years, the band knocked down the tightly shut gates of mainstream media and turned the non-believers into believers as they marched to bring a message from the underground.
As Five Finger Death Punch's Zoltan Bathory, who helped spearhead the festival concept put it, "We will carry the flag into mainstream territory; we will trespass on their turf all across America. The combined power of Metal Hammer and all these bands enable us to make a statement, a really loud one. Heavy music wants its place back in the limelight, so get ready, because we are coming, and we are coming in numbers."
"By bringing the Trespass Festival to North America," said Metal Hammer's editor Alexander Milas, "we're not only promoting the music we believe in, we're investing in it. We're now doing in America what we've done for years in Europe and the UK." Indeed, Metal Hammer has a long history of flying the flag for the bands it believes in, and over the course of 25 years, has been involved with a number of events, most recently the Defenders Of The Faith tour that covered the spectrum of metal and helped support the music U.K. scene. Metal Hammer is partners with Bloodstock Open Air and Download Festival and has its very own Hammerfest festivals in the U.K. "It has become increasingly apparent to us that supporters of Metal Hammer stretch well beyond the U.K. Thanks to the iPad, American metal fans can now get the magazine at the same time U.K. fans do, but by taking on this tour, we're moving beyond our physical borders."
The idea for Trespass America came about as a way to bring heavy music to big venues across the country. Bathory explained, "When you walk through the Trespass America gate, you will be in a different territory, a new environment. You're not just coming to see a band. It's going to be a traveling circus that has all the attraction and excitement that creates an experience. We wanted to build the biggest stage we could and make this festival as visually unforgettable as possible, really give fans their money's worth, give them an experience where they will want to say, 'I was there.' We also wanted to play as many indoor venues as possible so all bands on the bill, no matter how early they play, would have a full light show with full production. We want to make Trespass America a theme-park-thrill-ride for metalheads."
With Five Finger Death Punch leading the charge, up-and-comers Battlecross, Pop Evil, and Emmure, metal vets God Forbid, and heavyweights like Trivium and Killswitch Engage, all united under the Metal Hammer banner, the Trespass America Festival is definitely bound to set foot on the forbidden lawn of mainstream Rock-Culture.
