Kerry King + Megadeth = METAL history
For many years Kerry King from Slayer and Dave Mustaine from Megadeth, could not stomach each others presence. It all started when King was a temporary member of Megadeth, and Mustaine asked him to quit Slayer and join Megadeth as a full time member. At that time Mustaine told King that he found Slayer to be a lame band full of poseurs, that liked wearing spikes and eye liner. King obviously ditched Megadeth and kept the Slayer machine rolling.
During the 80's there was a verbal battle going on between the 2 shredders, which included name calling and useless comparisons between the accomplishments of both bands. After Dimebag Darrell's death in 2004, Dave Mustaine reached out to Kerry King, but King wanted nothing to do with Mustaine.
This "battle" was silenced forever when Slayer and Megadeth joined forces earlier this year, for the Big 4 concerts in Europe. In case you have been living under a rock, the Big 4 include Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. When asked about the feud, both man agreed that they are on good terms and that the media blew things out of proportion.
After months of touring together, and with enough time for King and Mustaine to patch things up. The moment thousands of Metal heads worldwide were waiting for, finally happened! Kerry King joined Megadeth last week in Los Angeles, and together they performed the song "Rattlehead". This was the first time that Kerry King joined Megadeth on stage since 1984!
