Krisiun's new album, "The Great Execution" has finally arrived! Today (November 1st), you can pick up the bands eight studio album in North America thanks Century Media Records! Produced once again by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio, Krisiun expands their trademark high speed Death Metal violence with a heavily increased amount of diversity, ranging from extreme tempo variations over distinct rhythm patterns to clean guitars--and even Flamenco parts! Krisiun purposely only used analogue gear and instruments while recording in order to avoid the compressed sound that so many musicians produce today. This wise decision resulted in a more organic sound, with the songs on "The Great Execution" possessing both a warmth and rawness that are so often lost through digital production.
Recently, we had to chance to speak with Alex Camargo (founder & vocalist/bassist) about the production process behind "The Great Execution", the rise to fame of Krisiun, and how the band has managed to persevere for over 20 years. Grab tight to your seat and crank it up!
In celebration of this release, the band is now giving fans the chance to preview The Great Execution in its entirety at Hails and Horns.com. Click here to hear the latest from the Brazilian Death Metal trio, and for an exclusive track-by-track commentary.
Stay tuned for an update with touring news from the Krisiun camp as they are about to announce their extended European touring schedule for the beginning of 2012, the year of the end of the world (if you believe the Mayan calendar). Prepare yourself for the apocalypse, which Krisiun delivers the perfect soundtrack for!
