Decibel Magazine's inaugural Women in Metal issue featuring Laura Pleasants (Kylesa), Mlny Parsonz (Royal Thunder), Marisa Martinez (Cretin) and many more Metal badasses, is on newsstands now.

The August issue features a photo session with the three innovative female musicians as well as interviews with Jucifer, Doro, Landmine Marathon and an assortment of women in the music industry.

Kylesa, who have been on the road consistently since the Fall 2010 release of 'Spiral Shadow', recently reissued 'To Walk a Middle Course' and 'Time Will Fuse Its Worth' on colored vinyl limited quantities via Alternative Tentacles. The band returns to the road on July 27 with a performance at the Greenville Festival in Germany with a number of additional festival dates during the European run including performances at Wacken Open Air and Area 4 Festivals.

Royal Thunder recently released their debut album, 'CVI', to rave reviews including Pitchfork who described Parsonz as "equal parts riot grrl and gospel diva". The Atlanta-based quartet is currently on tour with Valient Thorr  through July 19. Royal Thunder performs back-to-back hometown shows on July 22 and 23 at The Masquerade.

Cretin is currently writing their highly anticipated sophomore album and long-awaited follow-up to 2006’s 'Freakery'. Martinez has also served as the legendary band Repulsion’s live guitarist for the past few years.
