SLIPKNOT announce that LAMB OF GOD & DETHKLOK won't be performing at "KnotFest"

The domino effect continues for the LAMB OF GOD camp. SLIPKNOT have announced that neither LAMB OF GOD or DETHKLOK will be performing at the inaugural "KnotFest"! Here is a statement from the SLIPKNOT camp:

"We are saddened that LAMB OF GOD and DETHKLOK will not be able to perform at KnotFest. Our thoughts and support are with Randy Blythe and the LOG family. We will be announcing replacement artists imminently. FREE RANDY!"

As previously reported, due to the continued incarceration of LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe in the Czech Republic, the band’s co-headline tour with Dethklok scheduled to begin August 1st in Seattle is being cancelled. The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy’s release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour. Upon Randy’s release, it is the band’s intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December. More about this story HERE!

Scheduled performers for Knotfest:

SLIPKNOT
DEFTONES
LAMB OF GOD
DETHKLOK
SERJ TANKIAN
THE URGE
PRONG
CANNIBAL CORPSE

LAMB OF GOD have also cancelled their appearance at this year's Heavy Mtl Festival in Montreal, Canada. IN FLAMES will be replacing them. HERE is more information about this.
