RANDY BLYTHE RELEASED -- LAMB OF GOD to Appear at KNOTFEST -- U.S. Tour to be Rescheduled for October!
Finally some good news on the Randy Blythe incarceration in Prague, Czech Republic! After five weeks in a prison, Blythe has been released on bail and is returning to the United States today. Although LAMB OF GOD was forced to cancel their summer co-headline tour with Dethklok and special guests Gojira, the band has agreed to play SLIPKNOT's "KnotFest" shows on August 17th in Council Bluffs, Iowa and August 18th in Somerset, Wisconsin.
According to Blesk.cz, Blythe boarded a direct flight to New York at approximately 1:00 PM. CEST (Central European Summer Time) today. He is expected to land on U.S. soil this afternoon. Prior to boarding the plane back home, Blythe spoke with TV Nova, a Czech news outlet:
"I'm relieved to be out of Pankrác jail," Blythe told TV Nova at the airport before catching his flight. "It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly fun."
He added, "I'm relieved to be out of jail, but if it's necessary for me to return to Prague to go to this court thing, I certainly will. I'm no flight risk."
HERE is a short video clip of Blythe talking to TV Nova at the Prague airport.
LAMB OF GOD is currently targeting October 26th as the start date for a U.S tour. Dates and cities will be released as soon as possible. Randy will be making a public statement discussing his time in Prague and thanking fans worldwide for their support in the next week.
