A PERFECT CIRCLE's Josh Freese Quits The Band!
This just in: After 13 years as the drummer of Maynard James Keenan's A PERFECT CIRCLE, Josh Freese has announced via Twitter that he has decided to quit the band:
"After 13 years, I've decided to leave A Perfect Circle with no plans of returning. Apologies to those inquiring about the upcoming shows."
As previously reported, A PERFECT CIRCLE will perform one show in 2012. The event will take place on December 29 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets for the special evening are on-sale September 15 at 10 am pacific. VIP tickets will be available simultaneously via this link only: http://aperfectcircle.frontgatetickets.com.
Additionally, A PERFECT CIRCLE will be performing at the 2013 edition of the Soundwave Festival, which kicks off February 23 in Brisbane, Australia.
Soundwave Festival dates:
- Brisbane: Saturday, February 23
- Sydney: Sunday, February 24
- Melbourne: Friday, March 1
- Adelaide: Saturday, March 2
- Perth: Monday, March 4
Tickets are priced at $189 including fees and public transport and go on sale Thursday, August 23, with a pre-sale commencing seven days prior.
The 2010-2011 lineup of A PERFECT CIRCLE included singer Maynard James Keenan, guitarist-songwriter Billy Howerdel, drummer Josh Freese, former SMASHING PUMPKINS guitarist James Iha and bassist Matt McJunkins.
At current time, A PERFECT CIRCLE does not have a record deal. Perhaps this is the reason why Freese decided to leave this band? We think so.
