The nominees for the 55th Grammy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, were announced yesterday. The event will take place on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event will air live on CBS at 8PM ET.While this award show does not represent Heavy Music the way the Golden Gods Awards do, it is still the most important award show in the world when it comes to music. Representing Heavy Music this year we have: Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Megadeth, Halestorm and Marilyn Manson.
The nominees in the "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" category are as follows:
To be eligible for nomination, an artist's work must have been released between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012.
