ROB ZOMBIE Reveals Posters For NEW Album 'Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor' & NEW Movie "The Lords Of Salem"!
In case you didn't know, Rob Zombie will be releasing his brand NEW album, 'Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor' (Zodiac Swan/T-Boy/Ume), on April 23, and his latest feature film, "The Lords of Salem" (Anchor Bay), on April 26.
Zombie began recording his fifth studio album, 'Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor' in June 2012 with the following concept as a mission statement: "We just want to make a dark, heavy, weird record and stick to that idea. If something comes up that isn't, we won't finish it. We'll stick to the plan." Here is the album cover art:
Filmsynopsis: "A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, a gift of the Lords. She assumes it's a rock band on a mission to spread to spread their word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lord's record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma. Later, Whitey plays the Lord's record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with his listeners. The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon, Heidi and her cohorts are far from the rock spectacle they're expecting. The original Lords or Salem are returning and they're out for blood."

This coming May, The Golden God Award (presented by Sumerian Records), which is given to one special honoree a year who embodies the spirit of Hard Rock and Metal, will go to Rob Zombie, who commented, “What can I say? It is a complete honor to receive this award and have my name join the list of such legendary past winners as Alice Cooper and Gene Simmons. Pretty cool deal to be part of the Golden God club.” (The other previous honorees are Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Dave Mustaine of Megadeth).
