Scott Weiland Is In Denial After Getting Fired From STONE TEMPLE PILOTS
Recently, Stone Temple Pilots announced that they "have officially terminated Scott Weiland - no further information is available at this time."
Scott Weiland seems to be in denial and says that the bands announcement is part of a publicity stunt:
“There are some issues that have to be worked out with STP. But they’re the same issues that have been going on since the end of the last tour. Nobody in the band can be fired. No one’s ever fired anybody, and no one’s ever quit the band.”
He further went on to state:
“[STP] really have been together a long time, and I’m proud of that. I really do like those guys, and it hurts my feelings when we aren’t getting along, because I view them as family.”
Weiland is on a solo tour in which he is currently performing songs from the first two STONE TEMPLE PILOTS albums, 1992's 'Core' and 1994's 'Purple', during his solo tour.
It's unclear if STONE TEMPLE PILOTS plan on carrying on with a new vocalist. Stay tuned for more news.
