IRON MAIDEN: Update on NEW Studio Album & on the "Trooper Beer"

IRON MAIDEN's pilot Bruce Dickinson recently spoke with Talarforum (a Swedish forum) about his legendary band and he mentioned that they have plans in entering the studio soon for a potential 2014 album.

"Iron Maiden fans do not need to feel that life is hopeless. In addition to the upcoming tour plans, the band plans on recording a new album, which, if all goes as planned, is scheduled for release in 2014."

As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN have announced the creation of their own beer! Appropriately baptized as the "Trooper" beer, the beer was developed by Bruce Dickinson who is a real ale enthusiast and as a result developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavors and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Here is some NEW information about the "Trooper Beer":

- SHIPPING COSTS:

8 x 500ml glass bottles of beer weighs 7.3kg, so it was never going to be cheap to ship! Why not club together with a couple of friends and get 2 cases shipped for the same cost as shipping 1? Postage is weird like that. And just so you know - we don’t make any profit on the shipping costs and we pack your beer extremely well to make sure it gets to you in one piece.

- CAN’T I GET IT IN THE SHOPS?

We are working very hard to get Trooper into shops and pubs so you can avoid the shipping costs of ordering direct. We will of course be letting you know where and when you can buy it (please note that it isn’t released until May 9th) so if you’d rather wait and avoid paying for postage, you can do that.

- WHEN IS IT COMING TO... ?

At risk of repeating ourselves... yes we are working on worldwide distribution! As soon as Trooper is available in your country, we will be letting you know.

In other IRON MAIDEN news, the band will make a brief return to the USA this September, playing seven specially selected shows en-route to Latin America where they will once again headline at the legendary Rock In Rio Festival, Brazil, on September 22, their show there having recently sold out to 70,000 fans in just a couple of hours! Iron Maiden's tour dates available HERE!

MAIDEN fans: always drink responsibly!
