Lemmy Kilmister To Jill Janus From HUNTRESS: "I Want to Fuck You to Death"

HUNTRESS is back with the follow up to their buzzworthy debut album 'Spell Eater', which was released in 2012. The album entitled 'Starbound Beast' will be released on June 28th in Europe and on July 2nd in North America via Napalm Records. The band recorded the album at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, CA, working with famed producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front). The artwork for Starbound Beast was created once again by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Ghost B.C., Mastodon).

Today HUNTRESS has unveiled the first song from Starbound Beast. The track entitled "I Want to Fuck You to Death" was co-written for singer Jill Janus by legendary Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister.

Frontwoman Jill Janus spoke about the collaboration:

"I met Lemmy through my former band Chelsea Girls. We'd play hard rock and metal covers featuring guest celebrities. Lemmy was already friends with the girls, so he played "Ace of Spades" with us and it blew my mind. We stayed in touch and would meet up at The Rainbow for drinks. So I asked him a few months back over Jack & Cokes if he'd write lyrics for a Huntress song and he said 'Sure'. A few weeks later, I met him at the studio during Motorhead recording sessions. Lemmy handed me two two pieces of notebook paper with the lyrics for 'I Want to Fuck You to Death'. I am beyond honored. To me, this is a love song. It is the most romantic song I've ever heard."

Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister also spoke of the collaboration:

"The first time I heard Jill's voice with Chelsea Girls, it was phenomenal. I wrote these lyrics from her point of view, the Huntress. 'I Want to Fuck You to Death' was inspired by her, written for her. I've always had a soft spot for her. And a hard spot too..."

The song is available as an exclusive stream on the HUNTRESS Facebook Page. When visiting the facebook page, clicking the "like" button will enable the audio.

3 INCHES OF BLOOD Release Lyric Video For "Storming Juno" To Honor Canada's Armed Forces!

3 INCHES OF BLOOD has released a lyric video for their track, "Storming Juno." Taken from their most recent album, 'LONG LIVE HEAVY METAL', vocalist Cam Pipes explains how the song is a tribute anthem: "Storming Juno is a tribute to the soldiers of the Canadian armed forces that got the first foothold for the allies on D-Day during World War II. Every November 11 we remember all who served, some who made the ultimate sacrifice, in service to their country. Releasing this lyric video is our way of acknowledging those who served our country and how proud we are of the significant contribution Canada had in fighting tyranny all those years ago."

The lyric video for "Storming Juno" can be seen here:

3 INCHES OF BLOOD has stayed on the road throughout 2012, continually supporting LONG LIVE HEAVY METAL.  Produced by Terry "Sho" Murray [City of Fire, DOA], the astounding twelve-track achievement offers an explosion of sound, setting new standards for the traditional metal genre.   Described by MSN as "good, honest, melodic heavy metal," the music video for "Metal Woman" can be seen HERE!

Next month, the Heavy Metal veterans will embark on a headlining West Coast run. The two-week trek will feature special guest HUNTRESS as main support, and HOOKERS as the tour opener. A list of confirmed dates can be seen below, with more to be announced shortly.

TURISAS Are Gearing Up For "PaganFest: America Part III"; EX DEO Drops Off Tour!

Battle Metallers TURISAS will be heading back to North America this spring for "PaganFest: America Part III", their first-ever US headlining run! Joining the Finnish sextet on their triumphant return to the States is a gathering of bands from across the world: Scotland's ALESTORM, Russia's ARKONA, and the US's very own HUNTRESS (Rome's EX DEO has now dropped-off the tour). In regards to their departure from PaganFest, EX DEO's Maurizio Iacono comments:

"It is with deep disappointment that I am obliged to pull EX DEO off this year's PaganFest. We were all excited to play this festival and premier some NEW material, but unfortunately our NEW album 'Caligvla' has been delayed, and we need to finish it and make it perfect. Add to that, the KATAKLYSM DVD is also on its final production phase... We decided it would be best to concentrate on giving every bit of attention to the album you have been waiting for, and also for the KATAKLYSM documentary to kick major ass."

"This being said, we will still perform with EX DEO on the Montreal & Toronto shows with PaganFest, as we will be in studio in the area, closing up the album 'Caligvla'. Everything else is canceled for EX DEO. We will return to support the album in the fall..."

"Word from Rome is that the plans are already in motion for world conquest! We ask our fans to support PaganFest and the great bands playing this year!"

Special VIP ticket packages are also available here for diehard TURISAS fans-- be sure to order yours while you still can! Check the dates below to see when "PaganFest" will be coming to a city near you.
