ROCKED for the Cure

This weekend we headed over to "Jugs-N-Strokers" in Merrick Long Island, for "The When- I Awareness Rock Show". The event featured live music by The Penguin Revolution, The Resurrection Sorrow and Sex Slaves. It also featured some amazing raffles, plenty of food and a DJ set by Jo Schuftan of Horns Up Rocks (who volunteered to DJ in order to help the cause).

The crowd was a mix of bikers (Jugs-N-Strokers is a biker bar), young adults and even some oldies. Everyone there was in high spirits and very generous when it came to donating money for this great cause. We were very honored and proud to have been part of such a successful event. And let it be known that Horns Up Rocks is here to help the Rock N Roll community in good times and bad times.

Rock Cure

As we all know breast cancer is a very serious disease and it affects millions worldwide. We believe that being part of the Rock N Roll community comes with huge responsibilities, and whenever someone reaches out for help we will step up and help out. We did it at Duff's Brooklyn for the Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund" fund raiser, and we are doing it again on Saturday September 4th for "The When- I Awareness Rock Show".

The event will feature live music by The Penguin Revolution, Sex Slaves and The Resurrection Sorrow. Additionally, there will plenty of food, amazing raffles, great music and t-shirts. All proceeds will go to the "When-I Organization". You are all invited and remember: YOU can make a difference.
