Production for Zombie's latest film, 'The Lords of Salem', has been completed and it has been dubbed as Zombie's most insane film yet. "I am enjoying taking my time finishing this film. I hate rushing things at this stage of the process, so it is a luxury to take it slow and really fine-tune every part of the production", stated Zombie.
Filmsynopsis: "A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, a gift of the Lords. She assumes it's a rock band on a mission to spread to spread their word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lord's record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma. Later, Whitey plays the Lord's record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with his listeners. The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon, Heidi and her cohorts are far from the rock spectacle they're expecting. The original Lords or Salem are returning and they're out for blood."

ROB ZOMBIE Releases Official Movie Trailer For 'The Lords Of Salem' - Watch It Now!
Zombie's latest film, 'The Lords of Salem', is currently in the final stages of post-production and promises to be Zombie's most insane film yet. "I am enjoying taking my time finishing this film. I hate rushing things at this stage of the process, so it is a luxury to take it slow and really fine-tune every part of the production", stated Zombie. No release date is set yet for the film.
Zombie recently told The Aquarian Weekly that "The Lords Of Salem" is "a different movie for me. I hate calling it a horror movie because it's more than that. It's very much like a psychological terror film, and it's a very different style. The other films were very in-your-face violent. This is more like a total mindfuck movie, and it's just very different, but I'm very excited about it because the fans of what I've done will love it, but it's a very different trip than I've tried before because I didn't want to just go and do the same thing again — and after doing two 'Halloween' films in a row, I wanted to break the mold of anything like that — but very, very different."
ROB ZOMBIE To Record NEW Album; Additional Tour Dates With MEGADETH Announced!
The wait is over, Zombie lovers! Rob Zombie has announced that he and his band of maniacs - John 5, Piggy D and Ginger Fish - will enter the studio on June 1 to begin recording the next chapter in the Zombie musical legacy. This NEW, as yet untitled CD is set for a late 2012 release.
"It has been way, and I mean way too long without any new music. I am dying to get back to it", said Zombie. "I have not felt this much excitement within the band since recording the first 'Hellbilly Deluxe' record almost 15 years ago. We have been working on tons of songs for quite some time and I can safely say this will definitely be our best record yet."
Before Lord Zombie and his band begin recording, they will hit the highway on a co-headline tour with Metal legends Megadeth, marking the first time the two bands have toured together since the early 90s.
"This tour should be a blast", said Zombie. "I haven't shared a bill with Megadeth since way back in the early days of White Zombie, so this trek is long overdue."

JOHN5 To Release Solo Album 'God Told Me To' Prior To Hitting The Road With Rob Zombie!
JOHN 5 is pleased to announce the NEW release date for his impressive upcoming full-length solo CD/DVD, 'God Told Me To'. The CD/DVD will be released through Rocket Science Ventures and Sony/RED on May 8th, 2012—just days before he heads out to perform with Rob Zombie on their upcoming co-headliner with Megadeth (see below for tour dates). 'God Told Me To' was recorded and produced by JOHN 5, Chris Baseford (Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee) and Bob Marlette (Sebastian Bach, Black Sabbath) in 2011. The cover art for the album is illustrated by none other than Rob Zombie, who is also tapping JOHN 5 to score the entirety of his upcoming film, ‘The Lords of Salem’.
JOHN 5 doesn’t just play the guitar. His guitar is an extension of his soul and through it his music has become the Frankenstein birth penetrating the ear drums of fans and admirers worldwide. For JOHN 5, the music is not just about playing, but living, breathing, feeling and passion. His impressive resume has seen him work with some of the most renowned musicians in the industry (Rob Halford, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie to name a few), and has cemented his name into the annals of Rock history.
The CD portion of the release features ten painstakingly handcrafted pieces transcending multiple styles—an equal combination of acoustic and electronically influenced tracks—each designed to gradually reveal JOHN 5’s innovative interpretation of his instrument. The orchestration of 'God Told Me To' showcases JOHN 5’s ability to master the subtlety of dynamics, thus emphasizing the overall production value of this body of work. 'God Told Me To' stands tall as a stunning, audible cultural experience.
The DVD portion of the release is hosted by retro-style horror-host Mike Odd and takes a look inside the world of JOHN 5 during his terrifying trip into the realm of 'God Told Me To'. The DVD features footage of JOHN 5 in the studio while working on the NEW album, exclusive videos taken on tour, a peek inside the photo shoot for his 2011 remix album 'Remixploitation', and more.
“I'm so proud of this record, I’ve put more time into this release than any other! It's half acoustic and the other half electric with a tribute to Michael Jackson and Eddie Van Halen with ‘Beat It’,” states JOHN 5. “The DVD shows me actually recording the songs as well as behind the scenes of a "day in the life" of JOHN 5! This album will take you on a musical journey designed to show more diversity in my playing than in the past. Enjoy!”
JOHN 5 continues to branch out, coupling his solo career with his work in Rob Zombie. His five previous solo albums, up to his 2010 release, 'Art of Malice', continue to break NEW molds in solo instrumentalist work. JOHN 5 also continues to work in 2012 with other artists including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rod Stewart, and is currently working on NEW music for Rob Zombie’s upcoming album.

ROB ZOMBIE & MEGADETH Announce First-ever Co-Headlining Tour!
ROB ZOMBIE and MEGADETH have just announced a co-headlining tour guaranteed to raise the temperature on the planet. The trek, which marks the first time the two bands have toured together, kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, NJ and encompasses high-profile appearances at several Rock festivals, including Rock On The Range and Rocklahoma. Rob Zombie will headline Rocklahoma, co-line (with Incubus) Rock On The Range, and will close all shows on the Megadeth dates. The tour wraps up on Saturday, March 26 at Rocklahoma - a list of confirmed dates is below.
The tour will come on the heels of Megadeth's critically acclaimed return of the traveling festival Gigantour, created and curated by frontman Dave Mustaine. Rave reviews have poured in for the festival, which also features Motorhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil. "The return of Gigantour, a nicely curated package tour of Heavy Metal bands, is just one more step in a great run underway by Megadeth," wrote the Boston Globe. "It was a smart and well-paced show, one that illuminated Metal's various angles (1/31/12)."
Twenty-eleven also marked the release of Megadeth's 13th album, the appropriately titled 'TH1RT3EN'. Released November 1 on Roadrunner Records, the album debuted at #11 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart. The album also landed on international charts including Top 10 placements in Argentina, Finland, Korea and Japan. Megadeth - Mustaine, drummer Shawn Drover, guitarist Chris Broderick and bassist David Ellefson - also received their tenth Grammy nomination for this project, earning a "Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance" nomination for their single "Public Enemy #1." The "Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Performance" category was eerily, category #13.
This will be Rob Zombie's first concert tour since last summer's "Hell on Earth" co-headline trek with Slayer. Zombie spent last fall and winter shooting his sixth feature film, "The Lords of Salem" that he wrote and directed and is making with the producers of the "Paranormal Activity" franchise. With principal photography completed, the film is currently in post-production.
Never one to play it safe, Zombie - with guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D, and Ginger Fish on drums - will bring his legendary stage show out in full force on these dates. Audiences will get what they expect from a Rob Zombie show - an amped-up, non-stop barrage of sin, sex and Satan guaranteed to rip your face off, a true Rock N' Roll spectacle at its finest.
With more than 15 million albums sold, seven Grammy nominations, the helming of five major motion pictures (including the #1 record-breaking "Halloween"), dozens of music videos, TV shows and last summer's strangely celebrated "Woolite" TV commercial where he showed the hidden terrors of doing laundry, Zombie is truly a force to be reckoned with in today's entertainment landscape. For over 25 years, his unique meld of horror and hard rock has influenced his sound as a musician, and his vision as a director and writer. Plans are for a new Rob Zombie album to be completed later this year.
