Chris Cornell (Soundgarden/ex-Audioslave) will be interviewed tonight (January 7) by Jon Pareles of the New York Times. The interview will take place at 6:00 PM ET, and it is part of The New York Times Arts & Leisure Weekend. Even though the event is sold out, you can access a live stream at Art & Leisure Weekend.com.
At current time Cornell is recording a NEW album with Soundgarden for the first time in 15 years, while working as a solo artist. Recently, Cornell discussed the differences between performing in a full scale band and as a solo artist. This is what he told Spin.com:
"An acoustic show is all about you, and any little nuance or mistake is amplified. I'm very nervous about it, but I love the intimacy. Once you sit in front of people and start playing songs, it's all on you. No matter what happens, it's entirely your responsibility the entire time. I like that intensity."

Howard Jones Explains His Departure From Killswitch Engage - Official Statement Available!
Earlier this week, Massachusetts Metalcoreheads Killswitch Engage announced that they had parted ways with vocalist Howard Jones. Here is Howard Jones' official statement:
"Well, I guess I will shed a little light without going too deep.
"As some of you may know, I've had a pretty interesting couple of years, to say the least, battling with some personal issues. One of the low points being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes that went unchecked for years. The rest of the band stuck with me through it, and, to be honest, they are the ones that kept me going. The whole experience definitely put a scare in me.
"Recently we've all been in writing mode, but somehow I couldn't get excited about the new album and all the touring that would go with it. The guys saw it before I did. In hindsight, I now realize that my heart wasn't in it.
"I have had an amazing decade with Killswitch Engage. I love Justin, Mike D, Joel and Adam for hanging in there and standing by me no matter how bad it was. I have so many good memories, and those are the ones that I will keep.
"Will I be involved in music again? Sure. I have been in bands for a little over half my life; can't stop now. Until then, get the new Killswitch Engage album; it's going to be good.
"Thanks, everyone, for letting me try to entertain you, and I wish myself well in my future endeavors.
"Gone fishin', Howard."

Exhumed Announce 'Grind Over Europe Tour' - Rotten Sound & Magrudergrind to Join Them!
Following their first ever trek through Brazil with Aborted, California goregrind ministers Exhumed will spray their blood overseas next month on the 'Grind Over Europe Tour' 2012. Set to kick off on February 24 in Barcelona, Spain, the band will mercilessly tear through 16 cities. Speakers will blow, ears will bleed, villages will crumble. You have been warned. The band will be joined by label-mates Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind.
Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "We're fully chuffed to have an opportunity to Grind Over Europe with a couple of our favorite bands: Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind! If you don't like blastbeats, manic energy, beer, stage-diving, rhino charges, swinging thumbjumps or Scott Carlson bass grinds, do yourself a favor and stay the fuck home! This tour, in addition to being a screaming whirlwind holocaust, will single handedly bring the phrase 'play fast or die!' back en vogue. We're psyched to get to hit a few countries for the first time on this tour, as well as dust off some old and particularly short, fast, and loud numbers for the set. Our very first tour in '97 was the Grind Over Europe II tour with Hemdale and Nyctophobic, so whoever said 'you can't go home again' is obviously full of shit! Bring your studded vests, dreadlocks, Agathocles split EPs, and worn out old Napalm Death shirts on down to the show and let's tear some shit apart! Cheers!"

Metallica 3D Movie - Official Statement Available!
"As you know, we generally make it a policy not to comment on gossip or rumors, but we also pride ourselves on being first with 'Tallica news. So, with that said, the more astute of you may have noticed a couple of mentions in trade publications, and most recently in the new issue of Rolling Stone, that a Metallica 3D movie is in the works. We're here to tell you that, yes, there is indeed a 3D project in the very early stages of production! We wish we could tell you more right now, but we don't have all the finer points nailed down just yet. What we can tell you is that we are planning on being in a theater near you sometime in 2013 and as you hear us say ever so often, this will be the space for all the details as we finalize them."
According to Deadline.com, Metallica will be self-financing a 3D feature film, and the band has recruited producer Charlotte Huggins ("Journey To The Center Of The Earth" and "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island") to work on the project, for which a director was being sought.
Stay tuned for more information!

Generation Kill's 'Red, White and Blood' = That Metal Show's "Pick Of The Week"!
In times when music has become somewhat stale and predictable, Generation Kill has delivered the Heavy Music community a fresh sounding, hard hitting crushing display of adrenaline, via their new album entitled "Red, White and Blood". The band is fronted by Exodus' vocalist Rob Dukes, who joined forces with his good friend Rob Moschetti (ex-Pro Pain & M.O.D.) in order to create music without an agenda.
This past Saturday (December 31, 2011), That Metal Show's Don Jamieson chose 'Red, White and Blood' as his "Pick Of The Week". Here is what Jamieson had to say about the bands debut album:
"My buddy Rob Dukes who is the singer in Exodus now, has a new album with a band called Generation Kill. It's a great album with a Punk tinged Thrash sound... which is not easy to say on television. And it's very Heavy! Uber Heavy! "
Here is the clip:
On Friday the 13th of January, Generation Kill will be headlining the first-ever "Underground Metal Friday's" at Fontana's Bar in New York City! Here is the official event flier.
Recently, the band premiered the NEW video clip for their song "Red White and Blood". The video clip offers a full concept telling the all too real story of a war veteran turned serial killer through his traumatic experiences at the front. Concept by Rob Dukes (Exodus). Check it out!
Generation Kill is:
- Rob Dukes: Vocals
- Rob Moschetti: Bass/Backing Vocals
- Lou Lehman: Lead Guitar

The private show welcomed 250 VIP guests and it ended up being as successful as the bands 2007/2008 reunion tour with original singer David Lee Roth. This warm up gig served as the bands promotional campaign kick off for the NEW Van Halen album entitled 'A Different Kind Of Truth'. The album is set to be released on February 7th via Interscope Records. The CD's first single and video, "Tatoo", will arrive on January 10th.

Soulfly Recruits Director Thomas Mignone For "World Scum" Video!
Max Cavalera's Soulfly, announced today that they will be recruiting director Thomas Mignone for the production of their video for their NEW song entitled "World Scum". The track is part of Soulfly's eighth studio album 'Enslaved' (set to be released on March 13, 2012 via Roadrunner Records), which was recorded at Tallcat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona and was produced by Zeuss, the seasoned knob twiddler behind some of the most notable bands in Metal today, such as Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, The Red Chord and more. Cavalera also shared production duties. This is what director Thomas Mignone had to say about this:
"It's an honor to receive a call from someone you had pictures of on your wall as a kid asking you to be on a NEW album of theirs. I literally had a picture of Max [Cavalera, Soulfly mainman] and Gloria [Max's wife and manager] holding [Gloria's son] Richie in her arms that I ripped out of a copy of Metal Maniacs on my wall when I was 15 or 16. Now they're asking for my artistic hand in one of their creations; [it] just doesn't get much more surreal than that. Very honored and the song is very 'Death Metal-ish' and completely crushes. Happy to be a part of it!"
Over the weekend, it was announced that Cavalera will be hosting an online video chat on Sunday, January 15th. Soulfy is scheduled to release of a brand new album entitled "Enslaved", which will be their eighth overall. While many bands barely make it to a third album, the Max Cavalera-led collective is still going strong two decades deep. 2012 also marks the band's 15th anniversary of making a tribally-influenced Metallic racket and what better way to celebrate than with a NEW record? The album will be released via longtime label Roadrunner Records, which has been Soulfly's home for the course of its career. The label has also been Cavalera's home for the duration of his career, which began in the '80s as a member of Sepultura, who essentially rewrote the rules of Heavy Music when they arrived on the scene; Max continues to do the same today.
The song remains insane for Soulfly, as does the lineup. The powerhouse lineup features Max and guitar dynamo Marc Rizzo, with Static-X's Tony Campos taking up the bass. The lineup is rounded out by drummer David Kinkade, a new school, extreme skinsman whose brutality behind the kit brings a new flavor to the band.
The band tracked 14 songs, 11 of which will be on the record, with the other three being made available for the special edition.
Track titles for 'Enslaved' are as follows:
- Resistance
- World Scum
- Intervention
- Gladiator
- Legions
- American Steel
- Redemption of Man By God
- Treachery
- Plata O Plomo
- Revengeance
- Chains
- Slave
- Bastards
- Soulfly VIII
Please note this is not the final track sequencing. The album is due out in March 13, 2012. It follows 2010's "Omen".

Words from the converted:
"This ranks right up there with the new Absu as one of the best occult Metal albums of the year!" -- Wormwood Chronicles
"This will scar you mentally as well as aurally... this gives you those moments of when Black Metal was new and a very hidden art form on the world. Well done, PTAHIL." -- AZM
“These two creatures of the dark universe have conjured up nine songs that will sting you like the lash of the whip of your underworld master.” — Cvlt Nation
“PTAHIL appreciate how to disturb the listener to good effect.” — Alternative Matter
“…be prepared for a violently blissful ascension toward their goal of annihilation.” — Forbidden
“Lightly melodic Black Metal which from time to time is reminiscent of Watain… The more you listen to the album the more captivating and stronger it becomes… PTAHIL is a band to keep an eye on.” — Lords of Metal
“…if you like your Metal dirty, with a Punk attitude and aesthetic that often shifts into more traditional metal leanings, and are gung-ho for some “hail satan!” shenanigans, then this record is probably going to satisfy you…” — Music Emissions

Sweden's ASTRAL DOORS Streams NEW Song "With A Stranger's Eye"!
Sweden's ASTRAL DOORS upcoming album, 'Jerusalem', shows the band at its very, very best. With world famous producer Daniel Bergstrand behind the mixing board, their classic Rock/Heavy Metal is brought to new dimensions. "Jerusalem" is by far the best album so far from ASTRAL DOORS and the concept of the lyrics is darker, more political and more provocative than ever before in the history of the band. The amazing cover artwork has once again been done by Mattias Eriksson who also did "Of the Son and the Father" and "Testament of Rock".
Noisecreep is hosting an exclusive stream of the track "With A Stranger's Eye" at the link below. The album which will be released on January 31st via Metalville Records can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
Formed in Borlänge in 2002, accomplished the all but accomplishable: delighting Power Metal fans and traditionalists alike. Simultaneously, the sound's unmistakable kinship to Dio-fronted Rainbow and Dio/Martin-fronted Black Sabbath earned ASTRAL DOORS momentum with old-school Metalheads who frowned at the perceived blandness and lack of substance in the Power Metal genre.
The debut 'Of the Son and the Father' arrived in 2003 to immense critical fanfare, although the crucified priests on the cover succumbed to censorship in Japan where the album was also rechristened (!) "Cloudbreaker". In the following years, ASTRAL DOORS shrewdly made it impossible for the audience to forget them by bombarding said audience with new releases, one more breathtaking than the other: 'Evil Is Forever' (2005), 'Raiders of the Ark EP' (2005) and 'Astralism' (2006). The band also performed at the perennial Wacken and Sweden Rock Festivals, and did tours with Grave Digger and Blind Guardian - the latter with particular success.
Sadly, the delightfully Power Metal-laden "New Revelation" (2007) did not lead to ASTRAL DOORS expected big break. The album met with rave reviews, but the band somewhat prematurely ventured their own headline tour, preaching to a still comparatively small choir. Album sales were satisfactory but hardly overwhelming. "Requiem of Time" in January 2010 - introducing new bassist Ulf Lagerström - saw the band gracefully back on track.
ASTRAL DOORS 'Jerusalem' Track listing:
1. Seventh Crusade
2. With A Stranger's Eye
3. Child of Rock'n'roll
4. Pearl Harbor
5. Lost Crucifix
6. Babylon Rise
7. Suicide Rime
8. The Battle of Jacob's Ford
9. Operation Freedom
10. The Day After Yesterday
11. Jerusalem
Line Up:
- Patrik Johansson: Vocals
- Joachim Nordlund: Guitars
- Joakim Roberg: Organ
- Ulf Lagerström: Bass
- Johan Lindstedt: Drums

Alekhnine's Gun Set to Dominate Saint Vitus Bar This Friday - 'Meditations In Wrath' EP Online Now!
Ever since we first had Alekhine's Gun pointed to our heads, we have kept a close watch on this furious New York City band. LOG's Randy Blythe Announces Presidential Candidacy - Official Statement Available!
Randy Blythe from Lamb Of God is considered one of the top vocalists in Heavy Music today. Recently, Revolver Magazine, included Randy Blythe on their 100th issue as part of their tribute to the '100 Greatest Living Rock Stars'. Additionally, Lamb Of God are gearing for the release of their NEW album entitled 'Resolution' (set to be released on January 24th in the US, and January 31st in Canada. Today, Randy announced that he is running for president. Here is his official statement.
"It’s 2012 now, the year some are saying the Mayan calendar predicts a cataclysmic upheaval across the board for our planet, perhaps even the end of the world as we know it. I don’t know if these doomsday predictions have any validity, but I do know one thing: the potential candidates in the race to decide who will be elected President of the United States look like pure shit.
"I’m not particularly stoked on any of the candidates. In a massive blow to our civil rights, Obama quietly signed the NDAA for the fiscal year 2012 into law while Americans drank in their party hats on New Year’s Eve. The GOP is parading around a bunch of ass-clowns in what has got to be the most embarrassing primary season in the history of their party. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse than Sarah Palin, they bust out that lunatic Michele Bachman. I have no clue what the Libertarians are up to now that Ron Paul is gunning for the Republican nomination. Probably loading their guns and preparing for the worst.
"Don’t even get me started on our current Congress, THE WORST CONGRESS I HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD OF IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES. It’s a relentless bipartisan pissing contest in Washington where not only is nothing getting done, nothing is ALLOWED to get done. There’s a bunch of squabbling children in Washington in charge of the business of running our country. These baboons are stopping any useful litigation from occurring by engaging in an endless game of “I know you are, but what am I?”. There is very little compromise happening in DC, and there is very little regard for the welfare of the American people. It’s PATHETIC.
"Something has got to change. America is falling to pieces around us and we are sitting back and letting it happen. We need someone to come in and REALLY take charge, someone who can’t be bought by corporate dollars because he doesn’t need or want ‘em. Someone who is not going to bullshit the country or the rest of the world about what’s going to go down when he steps into office, because he LIKES pissing people off and doesn’t give a shit about hurting anyone’s feelings. We need a man who is not afraid to stick his neck out and risk embarrassing himself while doing the right thing, a man, in fact, INCAPABLE of embarrassment anymore PERIOD because he’s ALREADY done almost every stupid WRONG thing you can think of at one time or the other. We need a hard-boiled, no-nonsense, mean son-of-a-bitch with a bad reputation who ain’t afraid to cock-whip the shit out of some randomly selected pussy-ass billionaire on live tv during his annual State of the Union Address just to make a point and let the mega-rich know that NO ONE is above the law here in the land of the free and the home of the brave. In short, we need a man who just DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK.
"America, that man is me.
"Thats right, ME. David Randall Blythe. Ol’ D. Randall. Uncle Randy. Wassisname, that dude from that one band that got drunk and fought in a skirt. I love the USA like a nerd loves D&D, I am thoroughly disgusted with the state of affairs, and I am ready, willing, and able to FUCK SHIT UP without a micro-second’s hesitation in order to fix what ails this country. All you have to do is elect me as the next President of the United States of America and I’ll handle the rest.
"You may be asking yourselves “What does this motherfucker think he’s got that all the other more politically experienced candidates don’t? What makes him think that he should be allowed to run this great country?” Well, let me tell you. I have something that all the other candidates lack, something this nation needs now more than ever: BALLS. And when I take office, I will IMMEDIATELY prove it.
"My first act as President of the United States will to be shot. That’s right, SHOT. With a high-powered assault rifle. Immediately after taking the oath of office, I will be escorted about twenty yards away and be shot publicly in a non-lethal area of my body by a highly trained Navy SEAL sniper. It will hurt like fuck. Why would I do this? Because I will now be commander-in-chief of the armed forces. This means that during my term I will probably have to make some tough decisions affecting the survival of other men. And as commander-in-chief, I shouldn’t expect anyone in our military to do anything I’m not willing to do myself. That includes getting shot. Me being shot will be broadcast live world-wide via satellite, with no bleeping out of the incredible string of curse words I will undoubtably let fly with. I will be required to walk/limp/crawl on my own power a minimum of 50 yards through the mud to an ambulance that will take me away to patch me up. If I can’t make it on my own, I’m not tough enough to be your President. After all the nations in the entire world witness America’s new President, an insane looking heavily tattooed freak, getting shot ON HIS OWN ORDER as soon as he takes office, then crawling all bloody to an ambulance, cussing the whole way and screaming pure hate in a monstrous voice tortured by years of touring and Marlboro Reds, they will think twice before fucking with us. I can promise you that.
"Speaking of military policy, there’s a few other things I will be required to do if I am going to be your commander-in-chief. The first thing I’ll do after recovering from being shot will be to go through the thirteen week Marine Corps basic training boot camp on luxurious Parris Island, South Carolina. I’ll be treated like any other recruit, in fact, probably worse due to my status as the new POTUS.
‘Well, well, well, what do we have here? Isn’t this just PRECIOUS” the drill sergeant will scream in my face “If it isn’t the goddamned President of the United fucking States. Do you think your special, boy? Do you think just because you fooled a bunch of goddamned idiots into voting you into the White House you deserve special treatment? Are you staring at my ass, son? Are you sweet for me? This is the Corps, not Harvey Milk’s San Francisco. Now drop and give me 50, you sub-human piece of shit!
"The physical and mental abuse will be extreme, but I’ve done that to myself for years already, so I’m confident I will pull through ok and be a better man for it.
"After I make it through boot camp and come out a lean, mean, presidential killing machine, I’ll have to immediately assess our military presence world-wide. I’ll take a look at any conflicts we are currently involved in, and if I want to keep our troops there and fighting, I’ll be required to fly there ASAP on Air Force One and kill an enemy prisoner myself. In a UFC-style chain-link octagon. In hand-to-hand combat. With a ka-bar knife. If I don’t have the balls to use my recent Marine Corps training, face off against the enemy, and knife another man TO DEATH, then I have NO BUSINESS sending men and women I’ve never met to fight and maybe die in a strange land in the name of service to our country. Once again, if I don’t have the stones to do this, then I don’t have the stones to be your President.
"In fact, anytime I decide America is going to war with another country, I will be REQUIRED to kill the first of the enemy, on their home turf, face to face in a brutal manner and with a primitive weapon. If I am willing to do that, there’s a pretty good chance I’m not shipping our guys and gals over there just because they have some oil I want or wear funny hats. They need to die in order to keep America safe. I should certainly not mind doing my part to make that happen.
"If you think I’m overreaching a bit here here, take a look at one of my historical precedents - a bad motherfucker named John F. Kennedy. The son of a Congressman, JFK was disqualified from joining the Army in 1941 due to a chronic back problem. JFK was a pretty boy from Boston whose father had a ton of political juice. Had he used that juice to get his disqualification? FUCK NO. He was PISSED about it. Like any child of privilege, he rang Pops up to bitch and cry about how unfair life had treated him, and how he wanted daddy to fix it. And in the manner of connected men everywhere, his big-shot father DID use his old boy network to shut his whining son up. He pulled some strings and got Jack into the Navy instead.
"JFK served as the commander of a torpedo patrol boat in the South Pacific during The Big One (WW2). He and his buddies were cruising around the Solomon Islands searching for the enemy late one night when a Japanese destroyer named Amagiri rammed his little-ass patrol boat and it started to sink. He gathered his posse around him on the flaming wreck of his boat and asked them if they wanted to surrender right there in the water.
"FUCK NO. These guys knew that if JFK, their commander in charge, was willing to fight, then they should be willing to fight. NO SURRENDER. Fuck it. So they took off swimming to an island. JFK had re-injured his back in the crash, and wasn’t feeling so hot. But there was a badly burned man with them unable to swim to safety on his own. So JFK towed the man to safety. He had to tow him by grabbing the life jacket strap of his burned up homey, and once he had it secure, he swam him to safety. Fucked up back and all, he took off swimming in the dark water, pulling that extra weight. He didn’t let his man down, he didn’t let his man sink, he did what he had to do, and he held onto that strap.
"WITH HIS FUCKING TEETH.
"Now THAT is some hard shit right there. And he wasn’t even done yet. In fact, after they got to the island safely, JFK looked around and decided he just wasn’t in love with it. So he towed the man once again, WITH HIS TEETH, to another island, where the atmosphere looked a little more chill. Once his crew were all there, he decided he it was Miller time and took off swimming for a few HOURS, again with his fucked up back, through the night and in water a Japanese DESTROYER was cruising around in in search of brews for his boys. He didn’t find any beer, but he did secure food and aid and the men were rescued off the second island.
"That was just one of the many awesome displays of BALLS Kennedy was known for. He was smart as a whip, too. We need a President with balls AND brains again. I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that I’m as hard, smart, or even as good looking as JFK. But I do have a few brain cells left rolling around in my knotty head, and I promise you that I won’t lead America into any unnecessary conflicts.
"Why should you trust me on this? Because I’ll know what it’s like for our military guys and gals to go through boot camp, and I’ll know what it’s like to get shot then pull myself to safety. Most importantly, I’ll know what it’s like to kill another human being, face to face and with my bloody hands, not by making a fucking phone call. This is the type of bullshit games men behind desks play that get our young men and women killed. Fuck that.
"If I do decide to get us into a war, I’ll untie the hands of our military when I send them off to fight. I’ll remove these ridiculous rules of engagement that say we can’t shoot until we are being shot at. It’s INSANE what our troops are expected to do- sit there like sitting ducks until someone puts a bullet in someone’s head. Only then are they allowed to start busting caps. This bullshit is getting Americans killed everyday. Under the Blythe administration, if we see you, you have a gun, and you come too close to us, you get shot the fuck up. BLAM! We’ll fight by ghetto law- in the hood, do you think a Blood is gonna wait until a gun waving Crip starts shooting at him to put a round in the motherfucker? HELL NO. He wants to live to sell another 50 rock, so he lets him have it! If I get us into a fight, it will be because we HAVE to fight, and once we’ve been FORCED to fight I’ll let our guys and gals do their jobs- KICK SOME FUCKING ASS IN A GODDAMNED HURRY so they can get safely back home, where they belong, drinking beer and getting laid.
"This is the first of my campaign announcements, funded entirely by myself. I refuse to take campaign donations. Let’s let the people, not big money, decide who will be the next El Jefe. In my next announcement, I’ll address some of my ideas for domestic policy, including economic reform.
"Thank you for your support, and God bless America."

The Devil's Blood Unleash 'Everlasting Saturnalia' Teaser Video!
Next up in The Devil's Blood 'The Thousandfold Epicentre' teaser series is "Everlasting Saturnalia," track nine from the Dutch collective's forthcoming new long player. Check out the video below.
'The Thousandfold Epicentre' continues to reap critical accolades from critics nationally and abroad for its hauntingly infectious odes of psychedelic unholiness. L.A. Weekly notes: “... The Devil's Blood bring to mind what Jefferson Airplane’s sound would have been if they abandoned their love of psychedelic drugs for good old-fashioned Satanism." Adds Noisecreep: "On their sophomore album, Dutch act The Devil's Blood deliver NWOBHM-kissed riffs and melodic female vocals like it's 1980 all over again," Terrorizer calls The Thousandfold Epicentre "dynamic and luminous," while Blistering boasts in an 8.5/10 rating: "The Devil's Blood are entity onto themselves, and could very well be considered Metal’s most valid Satanic band." Metal Assault crowns the effort "one of the most captivating releases of the year 2012. A superlative effort," in a 9/10 review and Bloody Good Horror opines: "The Thousandfold Epicentre is capable of alluring visions, a veritable siren's song of majesty and grace."
'The Thousandfold Epicentre' is scheduled for North American release on January 17, 2012 via Metal Blade Records.

A video for the song "At Least I'm Drunk" was recently completed and will make its online debut later this month. A teaser for the video can be seen below.
No more endless studio fakes, sound samples, artificial drum overdubs and computer-controlled corrections of suboptimal lead vocals. The time has come to return to the true values of rock music, namely honesty, solid craftsmanship and real lifeblood. To cut a long story short: the time has come for NITROGODS! The motto of this spectacular new rock trio: three men, three corners, and down-to-earth no-bullshit Rock N'Roll!
The band may still be unfamiliar to the public at large, but the three members are renowned musicians with illustrious histories to look back on. Guitarist Henny Wolter founded Thunderhead in 1988, played with Primal Fear and Sinner for number of years and was part of the Rock Meets Classic touring band. Drummer KlausSperling (Freedom Call) was also with Primal Fear for a long time. And at the epicenter of the NITROGODS soundquake is a heavyweight who is impressive in every respect: Claus "Oimel" Larcher, a bear of a musician whose bass performance stands for sheer power and whose voice unmistakably reflects countless liters of beer and whiskey.
"I wanted to return to playing the music that I love," says Henny Wolter, "and that only works if you play it with your best friends."
Fast Eddie Clarke comments on his collaboration with the NITROGODS: "I first met Claus from the NITROGODS in 2005 when I did a benefit gig for the victims of the tsunami in Indonesia. So I was happy to say yes when asked to do a solo on their new album on the track 'Wasted In Berlin'. I have to say the tracks they sent me sounded great. The band has great spirit and they all play extremely well together. So if you like fast and furious rock, you should give this a listen. I can assure you you will not be dissapointed..."
Dan McCafferty on NITROGODS: "I have just had the pleasure to record a song with a new band called NITROGODS. Henny and I met and became good friends on the Rock Meets Classic tour 2010. Having heard other material for the album, I think it will be a fine one. Hope you enjoy my contribution on 'Whiskey Wonderland'. I wish the GODS the best of luck. Welcome to the Rock N' Roll world!"
