Megadeth's Dave Mustaine Discusses Potential "Gigantour" Lineup!

In a recent interview with 'Street Date', Megadeth's frontman discussed Megadeth's future tour plans for when the band returns from South America (tour-dates below). While no dates have been announced yet, this is what Mustaine had to say about this matter:

"This year coming up we're going to be having us, MOTÖRHEAD, a great band that's coming up called Volbeat and Lacuna Coil."

While it hasn't been confirmed if this will be the lineup for this years "Gigantour", it only makes sense since Mustaine is the creator of "Gigantour". Additionally, Mustaine mentioned during the interview that unless the band gets to tour with Metallica, then Megadeth will only do headlining shows with a solid tour package. Stay tuned for more details.

Don't forget that on November 1st, 2011, Thrash Metal titans Megadeth are releasing their 13th studio album appropriately titled TH1RT3EN via Roadrunner Records.

Facts about TH1RT3EN:

- TH1RT3EN follows up 2009's Endgame, which was one of the most celebrated albums of the pioneering band's storied career.

- Anticipation is high and fans are anxious for a taste of new music from the legends, who have sold over 25 million albums globally throughout the course of their career, and they will get it imminently.

- TH1RT3EN also marks the recorded return of bassist Dave Ellefson who was part of the band's classic lineup from 1983 to 2002. In a move that delighted the band's legion of diehards, Ellefson returned to performing live with Megadeth in early 2010 and has remained a fixture on the stage ever since. This is the first time Ellefson has played on a Megadeth record since 2002's Rude Awakening.

Latin American tour:

11/9 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - Estadio Cubierto Malvinas
11/10 - Estadio Cubierto Malvinas - Buenos Aires, Argentina
11/12 - Maquinaria Festival, Club Hipico - Santiago, Chile
11/14 - SWU Music & Arts Festival - Sao Paulo, Brazil
11/16 - Jose Cuervo Salon - Mexico City, Mexico

You can now listen to Megadeth's NEW single titled "Public Enemy No 1" right here! Or you can watch the band performing it live at the Big 4 show in Knebworth, England!

The band will cap off a busy and headline-making summer by performing as part of "The Big 4" once again, this time in New York at Yankee Stadium alongside Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax. The only previous "Big 4" show in the U.S. took place in April in Southern California.

Here is an interview we conducted with drummer Shawn Drover, in which we discuss the bands new album, the Big 4 and more!
