The time has arrived for PUi to take over the world with the release of their NEW full-length album. Here is a word from the bands leader NC Shuva:

"People Of The Moon! Here it is, our first song from the debut album "Neo Primal" in its entirety, "Taklit"!"

The bands debut full-length album 'Neo-Primal' will be unleashed to the masses at the PUi Ritual IV: a two day back to back concert experience. This unique event, which will feature PUi as the headlining band, will take place on Friday, March 1 and Saturday March 2, at the legendary Irving Plaza venue in New York City. "Underground Music Monday's": PUi Are Ready To Take Their Craft To A Whole NEW Level!

When PUi released an EP in January 2010 entitled 'You Will Clap' (available for purchase now on iTunes), legions of fans around the New York City metropolitan area and beyond were immediately hooked on the bands unique blend of Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, and Mediterranean sounds. Once the word got out about their revolutionary EP, the band started lining up local and national gigs that were very well received by fans from all walks of life. And soon, the PUi Tribe was born.

The very well received EP was recorded at Underground Studios and was produced by band members NC Shuva and Brian Hosey. It was mixed by Kyle Kelso and mastered by Howie Weinberg. Just when the bands tribe thought they had heard it all and seen it all, the band filmed a guerilla style music video for "Army Of Slaves" right on top of a roof top at Herald Square in Manhattan, NY right under the APPLE billboard on the day that Steve Jobs passed away. Following their eye catching video shoot, the members of the band were arrested by the NYPD for trespassing. Watch the video HERE!

Now, the time has arrived for the band to release their NEW full-length album. Entitled 'Neo-Primal', we've had the chance to listen to a few cuts and we are very confident that the entire album will be a full blown sonic experience that moves the sould and not just a record you inactively listen to as background music. Here is what NC Shuva (the bands singer/guitarist/song writer/opinionated dude) had to say about the completion of 'Neo-Primal':

"The motherfucking wait is over. The debut PUi album is complete. We did what we did to the music scene with 4 recorded tracks. Watch in fucking disbelief what we are going to do now. All the artists study the fucking structure like its your fucking homework. Everything before this was exercise. We were degenerates on the streets. Now we have the biggest crowd in NYC. Now we have funding. The biggest event to have been out together by an unsigned artist in the US of good ol A. Yet we are the same fucking maniacs who get arrested for videos, for throwing parties. Do you fucking dig? Maniacs with resources. The tickets are on sale. Get your fucking pair www.puitribe.com/puiritualiv"

The bands debut full-length album will be unleashed to the masses at the PUi Ritual IV: a two day back to back concert experience. This unique event, which will feature PUi as the headlining band, will take place on Friday, March 1 and Saturday March 2, at the legendary Irving Plaza venue in New York City. NYC Rock Band PUi Performs Video Stunt on a Rooftop in Midtown Manhattan!

Yesterday afternoon, midtown Manhattan was taken by surprise when New York City band PUi performed a video stunt on top of a rooftop. The stunt was organized by the band in order to shoot a brand new music video for their single 'Army Of Slaves'. The concept of the video is to have the fans shoot the video, in order to capture the moment as organic as possible.

Ironically, the band performed next to an Apple Inc. billboard, a day after the passing of Steve Jobs. This was merely a coincidence, since the band had planned this video stunt for months. The members of the band were arrested after delivering the masses their unique blend of Metal, Rock, R&B, Punk, Middle Eastern motifs, and Electronica.

Here is a statement from the band:

"Yesterday we showed the world that Human Spirit is not dead. Got on top of a Billboard on top a building and blasted loud Metal all over society and got arrested for it. Thank you People Of The Moon, for being there and capturing everything. Email the footage to: puicontact@gmail.com ASAP so we can start editing. Special thanks to the NYPD for being incredibly professional and courteous. It was a pleasant surprise. One!"

Tonight, PUi will be performing an acoustic set at White Noise in New York City at 10:30pm for "THE WILD ONES" 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY!

The video release of the video for 'Army Of Slaves' will be delivered to the masses on Saturday, November 5th, at a very special PUi concert that will take place at New York City's legendary venue Irving Plaza. Here are all the details:

PUi Ritual Reveals Innovative Video Concept: A Public Stunt Captured on Camera by Fans

New York City natives PUi, known for independently selling out venues in New York City and putting on electrifying performances, are getting ready to be filmed for their brand new music video for the single "Army Of Slaves" which is being re-recorded independent of a set release specifically for the video. The catch: the band is making it up to you, the fans, to direct their music video. The band will perform a currently unannounced public stunt and invite fans to come and record footage to be used as the video. There will be no cameramen hired by the band. PUi will announce the date, time and location of the event as well as some insight on the planning stages at www.hearseespeaknoevil.com. All fans have to do is check back with the website periodically for details and show up with a camera when the information is released, ready to film. The best footage submitted to PUicontact@gmail.com will be PUi’s first ever music video.

"We are in the age of interactivity and who better than PUi to take it to the next step. Have people become ONE with our cause." - NC Shuva (Frontman)

The video will be premiered on November 5th in New York City, as PUi Ritual headlines the legendary Irving Plaza (Presented by PUi Ritual, Horns Up Rocks and No Mercy Metal). Joining PUi at what promises to be one of the best local shows of the year, will be Killcode, Anaka, P.T. Grimm, Bound By Substance and Alekhine's Gun! Additionally, the event will be DJed by Horns Up Rocks founder Jo Schüftan and New York City Rock personality Tim Martinez (A.K.A. DJ Tim No. 37).

PUi released an EP in January 2010 entitled, "You Will Clap", which is available for purchase now on iTunes. The EP was recorded at Underground Studios and was produced by band members Shuva and Brian Hosey. It is mixed by Kyle Kelso and mastered by Howie Weinberg. The band plans on releasing a new full-length album within the next year, entitled Neo-Primal.

PUi's sound is a melodic rhythmic texture bred from a relentless mélange of Rock, Alternative, R&B, Punk, Hip-Hop, Middle Eastern motifs, and Electronica. These genres span across the spectrum, fused with dramatic songs and minor melodies, to originate what can only be described as visual and auditory intoxication- on hyperdrive. Beyond being the cultural glitterati of the future, PUi's music is an evolutionary coup in this modern day regression of Rock. Its sheer compositional mastery- with dense instrumental surges, guitar fueled climaxes, hard-hitting beats, and layered melodies- blurs lines between the past, present, and the future. Their songs define what it is to rise up and battle the world with lyrical weaponry, daring to question values, triggering hope and worry, and above all, arousing fascination.

Despite the seemingly effortless compilation of this musical assembly, PUi was not a convenient happening of things- this is no "next-door-garage band" that used to jam after high school let out. PUi stemmed from an ambitious string of consciousness, an instinctive acknowledgement of "this is what needs to be done" to accomplish a vision. From conception to execution, everything is purposeful, and effectively thought out. Intentional. Nothing is accidental. Ethnically diverse and five members strong, PUi mixes it up by bringing in fresh beats from guest artists like MC Rich Nitty and Darbuka player Triplestar.

Whenever asked what "PUi" means, Shuva has one answer: Tabula Rasa. When asked to explain Tabula Rasa, his answer is existential yet concise: “Tabula Rasa is a blank slate. PUi is your blank slate. Look at us. We are your thoughts. We are your judgment.”

PUi is:
- Prince (Nazimcan Shuva) // Vocals, Guitar
- Siren (Leo Henry) // Vocals
- Shaa (Ory Baum) // Drums
- Sub (Brian Hosey) // Bass
- Tek (Tunch) // Darbuka, Percussion

UPCOMING TOUR DATES:
