DEATH TO ALL Tour Singer/Guitarist Announced!

The "Death To All Tour" (presented by Perseverance Holdings Ltd.) is returning this year in benefit of Sweet Relief. Once again, the short tour will feature a handful of DEATH All-Starts, as well as various special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.

Today, the singer for the DEATH TO ALL TOUR has been reveled. As you probably know, Matt Harvey is on tour with Exhumed, Charles Elliott has a heavy workload at that time, and Steffen Kummerer has commitments keeping him in Europe. This is why Max Phelps was an easy decision - because he is a huge DEATH fan and he is a killer guitar player & vocalist. Nuff said.

Here are the confirmed tour dates, as you can see here there are no plans to have the DEATH tribute event featured at Orion Music + More:

April 13 - West Hollywood, CA - House Of Blues
April 15 - Denver, CO - Gothic Theatre
April 18 - Detroit, MI - St. Andrew’s Hall
April 19 - Cleveland, OH - House of Blues
April 20 - Cincinnati, OH - Bogart’s
April 21 - Chicago, IL - House of Blues
April 23 - Montreal, QC - Club Soda
April 24 - New York, NY - Irving Plaza
April 25 - Philadelphia, PA - Theater Of Living Arts
April 26 - Silver Springs, MD - The Fillmore
April 27 - Worcester, MA - Palladium
April 28 - Toronto, ON - Phoenix Concert Theatre
April 29 - Mexico City, MEX - Circo Volador

Tickets are available HERE.

The first leg of the trek will feature the three surviving members of DEATH's "Human" lineup (guitarist Paul Masvidal, bassist Steve DiGiorgio and drummer Sean Reinert) performing material from the group's first four albums. A vocalist for the shows has yet to be announced.

DEATH TO ALL TOUR 2013 Confirmed!

Earlier this week, the event organizers posted the following message regarding the tour dates and lineup:

"DEATH TO ALL was chosen as the number 1 live event of 2012!

"Just to let everyone know that we are trying to get everyone's schedules to coincide in order to do more shows. Much of this surrounds Gene Hoglan's personal touring schedule, as he is busy as hell (thankfully!). We've all agreed that 2014 will be the year of DEATH TO ALL worldwide, but there is a chance for some shows in 2013... not sure just yet... as some of the guys have stated that they don't wish to do it again. But we do have a hardcore group of former DEATH dudes waiting for the chance to hit the road again. Viva DEATH! :)" - ERIC GREIF

Today, they confirmed the tour via the following poster! More details will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

"DEATH To All Tour" Hits California & Welcomes Matt Harvey From EXHUMED - Video Available!

EXHUMED frontman Matt Harvey has been added as a special guest lead vocalist to the all-star studded "Death To All Tour 2012". After a few show cancellations due to low ticket sales, this past Friday (June 22) the legacy of Chuck Schuldiner was remembered as Matt Harvey was joined  by drummers Gene Hoglan (Individual Thought Patterns/Symbolic) and Sean Reinert (Human), bassists Steve DiGiorgio (Human/Individual Thought Patterns) and Scott Clendenin (The Sound of Perseverance), guitarists Paul Masvidal (Human), Shannon Hamm (The Sound of Perseverance) and Bobby Koelble (Symbolic), and vocalist/label-mate Charles Elliott of Abysmal Dawn/Bereft, to celebrate DEATH! The event took place at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California.

The following night (Saturday, June 23) the trek arrived at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California. This once in a lifetime tour, which features a majority of DEATH's amazing musicians, celebrates the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as raises awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.

Matt Harvey from EXHUMED replaced Obscura vocalist Steffen Kummerer due to visa issues and had only 9 days to learn his entire set. Matt Harvey elaborates on the opportunity: “To say that I'm excited about hitting the stage with such amazing musicians would be a massive understatement. To say that I'm overwhelmed standing in Chuck's spot singing his songs would be the understatement of the century. Phrases like ‘it’s an honor’ get tossed around pretty casually, but taking part in this unique celebration is truly exhilarating, humbling and magical for me. Even though the name of the band is Death, this event is a celebration of Chuck's life and the vitality and staying power of his work. To be able to share what Death's music has meant to me this way is a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I am incredibly grateful to have.”

Additionally, the concert organizers commented on Matt’s involvement: "The guys in the band, as well as the organizers and crew, want you to know Matt has been killing it! We are all very thankful for his efforts and talent, being able to pull this off on such short notice."

Death To All 2012 is presented by Sick Drummer Magazine/Grind Percussion LLC and Perseverance Holdings Ltd – In benefit of Sweet Relief (sweetrelief.org). This five-city tour will feature a majority of Death’s amazing musicians, as well as special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund – a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems

Tribute Shows To DEATH's Chuck Shuldiner "Death To All" Postponed Because Of Low Ticket Sales! #SupportMetal

The "Death To All Tour 2012" (presented by Sick Drummer Magazine and Perseverance Holdings Ltd.) is coming to the United States this week in benefit of Sweet Relief. The short tour will feature a handful of DEATH All-Starts, as well as various special guests. This tour is to celebrate the life and music of Chuck Schuldiner, as well as to raise awareness of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund — a charity that provides financial assistance to career musicians faced with illness, disability or age-related problems.

Yesterday it was announced that the Dallas stop of the upcoming Death to All Tour has been postponed. Today the organizers have announced that the Atlanta show has also been put on hold. The reason? Both of these shows were in danger of being cancelled due to low advance ticket sales, which is happening way too often! Here is the official statement regarding this matter:

“It is with regret that we have to postpone the Atlanta and Dallas dates for Death To All 2012, but there is a good side. Many things have led us to this point including very low ticket sales, issues with opening bands being available and several other factors. We are very sorry to all of the Death fans this has caused an inconvenience and wish things could have been different. We did everything in our power to avoid this situation, but in the end the choice had to be made. The good news is that we are working to re-schedule these dates for early next year, and if possible, add more dates surrounding them in new cities! Please hold on to your tickets, as they will be honored.”

Here is the list of scheduled tour dates:

- June 22: The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, CA
- June 23: House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA
- June 26: House of Blues in Chicago, IL

- June 30: The Beacham in Orlando, FL

Postponed tour dates:

- July 1: The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA (Atheist)
- July 3: House of Blues in Dallas, TX (Atheist)

The line up:

- Drums: Gene Hoglan ("Individual Thought Patterns", "Symbolic") and Sean Reinert ("Human")
