SHADOWS FALL Forced To Cancel Their Upcoming European Tour!

Major bummer! Our friends from SHADOWS FALL have been forced to drop out from their upcoming tour with TESTAMENT and their co-headlining tour with Ill Niño. A statement from the band follows:

"Due to a number of circumstances beyond our control, Shadows Fall has been forced to cancel our upcoming European tour with Testament and our co-headlining UK run with Ill Niño. We tried everything we could to make this tour happen and exhausted all options we could think of but unfortunately we were not able to work it out. We sincerely apologize to all the fans, promoters and bands involved. Everyone in Shadows Fall thank you for understanding and we plan on making it up to our European fans as soon as possible."

UPDATE from Brian Fair: "
There were many circumstances and not just Jon being with Anthrax. I have my first child on the way and originally this was only a short tour with Testament that due to financial reasons grew much longer to try and make it work. I had a lot of birthing classes and doctors appointments that my wife and I needed to attend and I didn't want to abandon her. Trust me. There were a lot more reasons this tour didn't happen. Don't just blame Jon when you don't know the entire story. That original post was never the whole story and was never suppose to be posted. We are really bummed out we couldn't make this tour happen. Too many obstacles both business wise and in our personal lives."

We will keep you posted as in when SHADOWS FALL will return to Europe.

GODSMACK Forced To Cancel Remaining Dates Of European Tour - Statement From Sully Erna Available!

This just in: GODSMACK have announced that due to continued vocal issues with singer Sully Erna, the band has no option but to cancel the remaining dates on its currently scheduled European tour. Erna was examined by throat specialists in the U.S. yesterday and the advice of his doctors has been to not sing for the next several weeks to allow time for his vocal cords to heal. Here is a statement from Sully Erna:

"Sorry, Europe. Seems like we can't catch a break there lately. London, you were one of the best crowds we've played to in a very long time.... Belgium, you were awesome as well. As for the rest of you in Europe that we weren't able to reach, I promise you we'll be back!! For now it's lots of rest and fluids for me until my vocal specialist clears me to sing again. My deepest apologies Europe! You'll see us again. Thanks for your support and understanding."

The current trek marked the first time GODSMACK had toured Europe in nearly nine years, and the band was only able to perform two of their fourteen scheduled dates in Europe.

As previously reported, GODSMACK will perform on the main stage of The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival along with multiplatinum Rock bands SHINEDOWN, STAIND and PAPA ROACH, along with breaking band ADELITAS WAY. GWAR Forced to Cancel "Return of the World Maggot" European Tour!

The European leg of GWAR's "Return of the World Maggot" tour, scheduled to kick off in January 2012 has been canceled after several promoters pulled the plug on shows, citing poor ticket sales.

GWAR spokesman Dave Brockie commented on the tour's cancellation:

"Several of the promoters were alarmed by the low ticket sales, and they decided to start pulling the plug on shows. It got to the point where we had lost so many shows that we simply could not afford to do the tour.

"We are super disappointed that this happened, and we apologize to all of our European fans for canceling the tour. We did everything we could possibly do to save it, but it just didn't work out. The tickets are fully refundable so make sure you get your money back!"

In other GWAR related news, Oderus and Balsac were recently "hired" by MTV's Next Movie to review the new Steven Spielberg's new epic, "War Horse". Are your Mutant Overlords the next Siskel and Ebert???
