Philip Anselmo to the fans: "forget about a PANTERA reunion"
As previously reported, both Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown are ready to patch things up with Vinnie Paul Abbott and perhaps setup a PANTERA reunion with Zakk Wylde on guitar. From what we have been told, it wouldn't be a full fledged reunion for PANTERA but simply a tribute jam to Dimebag Darrell Abbott (Vinnie's brother).
However, Vinnie Paul has said that "I just don't have any interest in it, man. I'm happy doing what I do, I'm enjoying being in a band where everybody really enjoys being around each other, likes each other. And I just don't have any interest in living in the past, man. I wanna move forward in my life and that's all there is to it."
Anselmo has answered Vinnie's comments during an interview with Radio Metal in France. You can listen to the entire chat here. An excerpt of the interview follows (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).
"Look, I've said it in the past… It's not a very hopeful thing to think about, because I would guess Vinnie Paul and I would have to sit down and talk, and right now, I don't think he wants to talk about that at all. And he definitely, sure as hell, doesn't wanna talk to me. Put it this way: my door is open always; his door is closed and locked. And until we can sort the situation out — if we can ever sort the situation out — then I would pretty much forget about a PANTERA reunion."
Here is a recent interview we conducted with Rex Brown, in which he talks about the bands chemistry when things were good and about the legacy of his brother Dimebag!

Watch Video Footage Of MINISTRY's Al Jourgensen Collapsing During A Concert In Europe!
This past Friday (July 27), MINISTRY's founder Al Jourgensen was rushed to a hospital via ambulance after collapsing on stage during the middle of the bands performance in Paris, France. According to RadioMetal.com, Jourgensen came on stage looking "rather intoxicated and was nearly unable to move throughout the performance".
Last year Jourgensen told Metal Hammer magazine that his decision to break up MINISTRY in 2008 after 11 albums and 27 years was largely due to his health problems.
"I'd been throwing up blood for the last three tours and like an idiot, I didn't think there was anything wrong," Jourgensen said. "So I came back, [off tour] and it got better for a couple weeks. Then in March 2010, I went into a seizure and bled out 65% of my body and they had to take me by ambulance to the ICU where I flatlined. I was dead. I couldn't hold down food and I just didn't know what was wrong. I spent a week in ICU where they gave me a 100% blood transfusion."
He added, "After a tour I had [an ulcer] burst right over a main artery in my stomach. They found 13 of them from my esophagus to my intestines which had scarred over, which explains why I'd been puking for years.
"I spent most of 2011 in doctor's offices, brain scans, everything. They've probed holes I didn't even know I had, but I've lost 50 pounds. I'm a vegetarian again, I have a personal trainer, I do 20 miles on my bike every day, I eat right, I'm the healthiest I've been in over 20 years."
When Revolver magazine asked Jourgensen earlier this year if he can still drink, he said: "I have a male nurse who weights 350 pounds named Hector. I call him 'Hector, the third bottle rejecter.' I'm only allowed two bottles of wine a day now. And it doesn't even get to that. It's about a bottle and a half, and that seems to be good along with the medicine I have to take every day for the rest of my life. I just went and saw my doctor and she said, 'Yeah, you're actually doing pretty good for being a fucking degenerate.'"

MINISTRY's Al Jourgensen Collapses During A Concert In Paris; Band Statement Available!
This just in: MINISTRY's founder Al Jourgensen was rushed to a hospital via ambulance after collapsing on stage during the middle of the bands performance in Paris, France.
After much speculation, the band’s management has issued an official statement regarding the situation and Jourgensen’s current condition.
"Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen collapsed on-stage during the live Ministry performance and was rushed to hospital via ambulance where he was examined by numerous physicians and diagnosed to have had a full-system collapse due to extreme dehydration and heat exhaustion intensified by the lack of ventilation on stage at the venue. Doctors confirm via blood tests conducted that Jourgensen’s alcohol blood levels were well below normal and no narcotics were found in his system. As a result, Ministry has cancelled today’s appearance at the L’Etaples France Rock en Stock Festival in order to allow Mr. Jourgensen a few days rest to recuperate and receive additional medical attention in Switzerland. Jourgensen fully intends to complete the remaining shows on the Ministry DeFiBriLlaTouR European leg.
"Jourgensen extends his most sincere apologies to his devoted Parisian fans who displayed so much love, respect and concern for him before and after the Ministry show. Says Jourgensen: “I will make it up to you, somehow. I love Paris, I love the Parisian people. I’m so sorry …but, sh– happens and the sh– hit the fan for me last night."
Following the cancelled L’Etaples France Rock en Stock Festival performance, the next date scheduled for Ministry is July 31 in Switzerland. Check out all the remaining Ministry tour dates here.

Black Sabbath Re-Reunion Around The Corner?
On Friday November 11, 2011 (National Metal Day), the original members of the legendary Heavy Metal group Black Sabbath — Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums) — have announced that they will be making a special announcement at exactly 11:11 AM at a private ceremony that will be held at the Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by former Black Flag front-man Henry Rollins.
The Whiskey A Go Go has a very sentimental value for Black Sabbath; the band made their Los Angeles debut on November 11, 1970 (41 years ago), opening for Alice Cooper.
Recently, Iommi told U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine that Black Sabbath recently started rehearsing together, adding, "We played some of the old stuff and to be together again was great. We're all on good terms and we're at a stage where we can play together again. It would be good if we could and I suppose it's the closest it's been to be able to do that. It could happen!"
Ozzy Osbourne told Billboard.com last month that a Sabbath reunion is a "very, very strong possibility." He added, "It's in the very early stages, so we haven't recorded anything yet. If it works out, it'll work out. If it doesn't, I'll keep doing my thing."
Speculation about a reunion was fired up when Ozzy missed the Hollywood premiere of the documentary about his life, "God Bless Ozzy Osbourne". Both his son Jack and daughter Kelly said that their dad was "doing something that is very, very exciting."
