Jonah, the kid playing the drums below, is an 8 year old self-taught drummer. He's never had a lesson, and plays songs as he hears them, and how he thinks they should sound. He doesn't "play it like the record", he plays his way. He doesn't have to learn how to play a song; he just has to hear it. Jonah spends between 1 - 2 hours per week playing drums.
Jonah recently recorded a cover of Mötley Crüe's "Looks That Kill" and he killed it! Tommy Lee: eat your heart out, this kid might replace you soon. Hahahaha!
NOTE: Only Drums you hear are Jonah's not his buddy Tommy's. Jonah uses http://jammit.com/ for this song.
Earlier this week, Jon Lord of Deep Purple died earlier at
the age
of 71. The co-founder and keyboard player with the Heavy Metal pioneers
passed after suffering a pulmonary embolism.
Earlier this year, Lord was diagnosed as suffering from pancreatic
cancer, a normally swiftly developing and deadly form of cancer. Lord
was was surrounded by his family at the London Clinic. Jon Lord is
survived by his wife Vickie and two daughters — Amy and Sara (please
keep them in your thoughts and prayers).
The origin of Heavy Metal can be traced back to pivotal trailblazers like Deep Purple. Their monstrous sound was a precursor to the decades of Metal mayhem that would only follow in the shadow of this legendary band. Now, with Jammit you can hear Deep Purple from a perspective that only few have had the privilege. Isolate or remove Blackmore’s guitar, Lord’s organ, Paice’s drums, Glover’s bass or Gillan’s vocals from the rest of the mix.
Follow the scrolling scores with slow down and section looping—even record your own performance—Jammit makes it easy to “join” the band! Join DEEP PURPLE right now by clicking HERE!

Each song from the band’s latest CD, Resolution, will be available on Jammit – an emerging music platform that will give musicians and fans a whole new way to experience Lamb Of God. The band’s decision to release their highly anticipated CD simultaneously for Jammit software is a testament to its innovative presentation and rich feature set. Below is a description of Jammit and the link to the Lamb Of God artist page.
About Jammit:
Whether you’re an aspiring musician, an absolute beginner or a seasoned professional, Jammit is the easiest way to learn your favorite songs. Jammit delivers a stunning user experience allowing you to virtually practice and perform in the recording studio with your favorite artists. This revolutionary product utilizes the actual multi-track masters from the original recording sessions. Jammit tracks are available for guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals, allowing you to isolate a specified instrument or vocal track from the rest of the band. The software provides note-for-note transcriptions (in standard notation or tablature), instant navigation to any part of the song, adjustable snap-to-grid looping and a slow playback mode (that doesn’t affect the pitch). Once you have learned the song, you can replace the original instrument recording with your own performance. Jammit is currently available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch with Mac and Windows versions coming in early 2012.
