To our Fans and everyone who has supported ANTHRAX and 'Worship Music':
It was a little more than a year ago - September 13, 2011 - that 'Worship Music' was released, and all of us in ANTHRAX can't believe how much has happened since then.
Our friends in the press gave the album great reviews, and so many writers singled it out as one of the best Metal albums of the year. Our label just told us that 'Worship Music' has just passed the 100,000 mark on albums sold. Since 'Worship Music's' release, we've played 107 concerts all over the world - in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, Russia, South America, and the U.K. - we've gone home to New York to not only play Yankee Stadium as one of The Big Four, but had September 14 named "Anthrax Day" in The Bronx, where Charlie, Frankie and Rob grew up.
We've been so lucky as a band, and we know we're able to do what we do because of you, our fans and all of our supporters in the press, at radio and retail, online, on the road, everywhere. We've had one of the best years of our career, and we share it all with you. So thank you for making the Anthrax's "year of Worship Music" the best! More to come!
- Frank, Scott, Charlie, Rob and Joey

ANTHRAX Featured On Google Play's "Audiobiography" Series!
Thrash Metal masters ANTHRAX and what is arguably the band's signature album, 'Among the Living, will be featured on Google Play's "Audiobiography" series starting today. ANTHRAX's Scott Ian and Joey Belladonna recently pulled back the curtain exclusively for Google Play, discussing at length stories behind the making of their Gold-certified 1987 album that includes some of the band's most popular tracks - "I Am The Law," "Indians," and Caught in a Mosh." Log onto http://bit.ly/Opbo3T to check it out.
The "Audiobiography" feature launches in tandem with a special catalog sale of some of Anthrax's best-loved albums: 'Spreading the Disease' (1985), 'Among The Living' (1987), 'I'm the Man EP' (1987), 'State of Euphoria' (1988), 'Persistence of Time' (1990), 'Attack of the Killer Bs' (1991), 'We've Come for You All' (2003), 'Caught in a Mosh: BBC Live in Concert' (2007), and the band's most recent release, the critically-acclaimed 'Worship Music' (2011). All albums are priced at $6.99; two tracks, "Indians" and "Madhouse," are available for only $.49, while "Caught In A Mosh" is being offered as a free download.
'Among the Living' was released at a time when the Thrash Metal genre was exploding - Metallica's 'Master of Puppets', Slayer's 'Reign In Blood' and Megadeth's 'Peace Sells' had just hit the streets, birthing what came to be known as The Big Four. The cover art for 'Among the Living' is an original painting that some say features a rendition of the maleficent Rev. Henry Kane from the "Poltergeist" films. As the band's Charlie Benante explained, "the album is basically about Good and Evil...how much evil there is among us."
As previously reported, thanks to NASA, ANTHRAX is the first Metal band to ever have its music played on Mars. Read more about this story HERE!

ANTHRAX Wake Up NASA's Curiosity & Become First Metal Band To Have Its Music Played in Mars (The Planet)!
They are one of the bands that helped define the "Metal/Thrash" genre (with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth - The Big Four). Their music has been played at New York's Yankee Stadium, in Moscow, Warsaw, Australia, Japan, and at Castle Donington in the UK. But now, thanks to NASA, Anthrax is the first Metal band to ever have its music played on Mars.
"Got The Time," from the band's 1990 Gold-certified 'Persistence of Time', was one of several songs on NASA's wake-up playlist for the Mars Rover, Curiosity, that touched down on the Red Planet August 5. "Got The Time" woke Curiosity up on Day Six, along with "Echelon" by 30 Seconds to Mars. Since Curiosity's Mars landing, the playlist has also included The Beatles' "Good Morning Good Morning," the theme from "Star Wars," and Wagner's "The Ride of the Valkyries."
As Anthrax's Scott Ian put it, "Yes, there will be moshing on Mars."
Next on Anthrax's Planet Earth agenda is a Fall co-headline tour with Testament, with Death Angel supporting. This will be Leg Three of the Anthrax/Testament/Death Angel hat-trick, and will mark Anthrax's first tour of Canada in support of the band's most recent release, 'Worship Music', called the Metal Album of the Year by an abundance of journalists (including Horns Up Rocks!).
Added Ian, "With Testament and Death Angel before, we played sold-out shows, raging crowds and EPIC war dances, and we can't wait to do it again, especially for our Canadian fans who have been waiting a long to time 'worship music' with us."
Several NEW dates have been added to the thrash-fest routing, including shows in Chicago, Detroit, Hartford and Atlantic City. The complete itinerary is below.
And if that's not enough Anthrax news for you, Anthrax's bassist, Frank Bello, will attend the premiere of "Greetings From Tim Buckley" at next month's Toronto Film Festival. Bello made his feature film debut in the supporting role of Punk Rock legend Richard Hell in the film that stars Penn Badgley of "Gossip Girl" fame. Bello auditioned for the role on a Thursday, was cast on Friday, and reported to the set the following Monday, the morning after Anthrax's big Yankee Stadium concert last September with The Big Four.
With the NEW dates added, the complete itinerary for the Anthrax/Testament/Death Angel thrash-fest are as follows:

Charlie Benante's Lawyer Releases Statement Regarding The Drummers Arrest & The Injuries He Suffered!
As previously reported, Anthrax's drummer Charlie Benante and his wife Sandra were arrested this past Friday (July 27) for domestic battery in front of a child. Arrest records indicate the pair were arrested at the Hilton Garden Inn in Elkhart, Indiana, and both were released from Elkhart County Jail on Saturday (July 28).
Here is a statement from Benante's lawyer Charlie William L. Hotopp:
"Last Friday night, Charlie Benante, drummer for the Rock band Anthrax, was assaulted several times during an altercation that sent him to the emergency room with a gash at the back of his head that required several staples to close.
"Mr. Benante and his six-year old daughter Mia had traveled to Elkart, IN to meet Mrs. Benante and her 17-year old son who was participating in a weekend baseball series. At some point, words were exchanged between Mr. Benante, Mrs. Benante and her male companion that led to a scuffle. Mrs. Benante hit Mr. Benante in the face, he pushed her away, and as he turned around to leave with Mia, Mrs. Benante assaulted him from behind, hitting him multiple times on the back of his head with a cell phone. Police were called, and both Mr. Benante and Mrs. Benante were detained for domestic battery in front of a child.
"Mr. Benante is understandably distraught by this incident and that his daughter, who he dotes on, witnessed it.
"Mr. Benante will appear in Elkhart County court this Friday, August 3rd, and we expect complete vindication."
Currently, SHADOWS FALL's Jason Bittner is filling in for ANTHRAX's Charlie Benante on drums at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.
But why is Charlie Benante not touring with ANTHRAX? Well, Charlie is currently recovering from a minor hand injury. He should be back with ANTHRAX soon! Bittner previously joined ANTHRAX on stage on November 8, 2011 at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, New York to perform the ANTHRAX classic "Madhouse". He also filled in on drums for Benante for two ANTHRAX shows in January 2006 after Charlie was forced to leave the tour early to attend to his wife Sandra, who gave birth to the couple's first child, Mia Charley Benante.
Earlier this year, Benante and ANTHRAX bassist Frank Bello (who is Charlie's nephew) missed several shows on ANTHRAX's North American tour in order to spend time with Charlie's mother, who was terminally ill. On February 4, Benante informed fans via his official web site that his mother passed away.
In more ANTHRAX news, according to guitarist Scott Ian, ANTHRAX's sold-out March 15 concert at O2 Islington Academy in London, England was filmed for an upcoming DVD.

FEAR FACTORY Announce Album Release Date; Additional Performances Added To U.S. Tour!
Candlelight Records today confirms June 5 as the North American release date for FEAR FACTORY's NEW album, 'The Industrialist'. Produced by the band with Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly), the album was mixed by Greg Reely (Paradise Lost/Skinny Puppy/Machine Head). It features additional tracking by Logan Mader (Gojira/Divine Heresy/Five Finger Death Punch) and artwork by Anthony Clarkson (Devin Townsend).
The Industrialist is a conceptual album that brings to life a story scripted by vocalist Burton C. Bell. The album's lyrics detail the plot of the original narrative while delivering FEAR FACTORY's massive signature sound.
"The album is a futuristic tale of an automaton, striving to survive by fighting for its existence within a desperate world. The lyrics tell the story while the music takes our industrial roots and blends them more perfectly than ever with our Metal edge. And all without losing the sound that makes FEAR FACTORY a machine of sonic devastation. FEAR FACTORY fans of any era will not be disappointed." - Burton C. Bell (Vocalist)
Clocking in at just under one hour, the album's ten songs again unite Bell with guitarist Dino Cazares. It is the second album written by the duo, reuniting in 2009 after a seven year split. Cazares says, "collaborating with Burton again on the NEW album was like magic. Everything just fell into place naturally. It felt good to recapture the true sound of FEAR FACTORY, taking it back to where it all started while raising it to NEW levels."
'The Industrialist' again pairs FEAR FACTORY with long-time friend Rhys Fulber. Their collaborations together include five albums and two remixes, including the certified gold album 'Obsolete'. "Rhys has been our secret member," shares Cazares. "He is the one producer who has been able to understand what we have been trying to accomplish from the beginning and has opened our eyes to NEW things without sacrificing our original sound. His talents in production and keyboard/samples has made FEAR FACTORY stand out amongst the many bands of our genre."
'The Industrialist' follows the 2010 release of 'Mechanize'. Widely regarded, the album was the first release from the band in six years and the first NEW material from the nucleus of Bell and Cazares since 2002. The album debuted on Billboard's Top 100 album chart week of release and continues to sell in early 2012. Sirius XM/Headbangers Ball's host Jose Mangin comments, “after Mechanize dominated 2010 as Liquid Metal’s Album Of The Year, North America is chompin’ at the bit to get an ear full of NEW FEAR FACTORY. I have no doubt that FEAR FACTORY are going to kick our collective asses in 2012."
Revolver editor Brandon Geist adds, "in the '90s, FEAR FACTORY's founding duo of Burton C. Bell and Dino Cazares changed the sound of Metal, from the way that Metal vocalists sing to the way that Metal and electronic music can be fused together. With 2010's reunion album, 'Mechanize', their partnership proved to be as lethal as ever. Though 2012 promises plenty of massive Heavy Music releases, there isn't a record that I'm looking forward to more than The Industrialist."
FEAR FACTORY recently announced their first tour dates since 2011. Joining them for the tour that is set to kick off on May 1 is Boston's SHADOWS FALL, Kansas City-based The Browning, Riverside, California’s The Devastated, and Legacy Of Disorder from New Zealand. The complete list of confirmed dates are:

ANTHRAX Recruits SHADOWS FALL Drummer Jason Bittner For Argentinean Tour
Thrash Metal legends ANTHRAX are already in Argentina and are ready to make their maniacal South American fans worship music! The band concluded their North American tour this week after a lot of mishaps, with a hometown show in which the entire lineup showed up to jam their souls out. In case you didn't hear, drummer Charlie Benante and bassist Frank Bello (who is Charlie's nephew) missed several shows on the tour in order to spend time with Charlie's mother, who was terminally ill. On February 4, Benante informed fans via his Official web site that his mother passed away.
Benante has decided to stay home with his family and as a result he wont be part of the bands Argentinean tour. Jason Bittner from SHADOWS FALL will be filling in for Charlie at the following shows:
- Feb. 11: Cordoba, Argentina at Cosquin Rock
- Feb. 13: Buenos Aires, Argentina at Malvinas
