NEUROSIS Is Ready To Perform Live In Denver & Austin!

As NEUROSIS continues to dominate audiences across the US in support of their commended tenth studio LP, 'Honor Found In Decay', the band’s impending performances in Denver, Colorado and Austin, Texas are now just days away.

Opening support for NEUROSIS’ show at Denver’s Summit Music Hall this Saturday, February 16th will be provided by locally-based instrumental heavy rock quintet Native Daughters, as well as folk//gospel-inspired Americana of Munly & The Lupercalians, featuring Jay Munly of Slim Cessna's Auto Club.

NEUROSIS’ Emo’s East show in Austin Sunday, February 17th will feature opening support from Little Rock, Arkansas’ apocalyptic sludge harbingers Rwake. Direct support will be provided by legendary Houston-based noise/industrial punks The Pain Teens! Having only reunited for a Trance Syndicate label reunion in late 2012, the eclectic act’s special performance will significantly enhance the evening, as The Pain Teens and NEUROSIS have not shared the stage since 1991.

On the Summer solstice, NEUROSIS is confirmed to take part in 2013’s installment of the massive Hellfest festival in Clisson, France. The gathering runs from June 21st through 23rd, and will see NEUROSIS sharing the stage with Kiss, ZZ Top, Down, Bad Religion, At The Gates, Kreator and hundreds more.

Incredible footage from NEUROSIS’ recent live offensives in January has surfaced. View “At The Well” and “Locust Star” from Brooklyn’s Masonic Temple, “The Tide” at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer, as well as incredible multi-camera footage of “At The Well” from the Oakland Metro on New Year’s Eve as captured by Kenneth Thomas (Given To The Rising documentary, etc.) and more can be seen HERE.

NEUROSIS 'Honor Found In Decay' Live Actions:

- 2/16/2013 Summit Music Hall - Denver, CO w/ Native Daughters, Munly & The Lupercalians

- 2/17/2013 Emo’s East - Austin, TX w/ The Pain Teens, Rwake
- 6/21/2013 Hellfest - Clisson, France w/ Kiss, ZZ Top, Down, Bad Religion, etc.

The anticipated deluxe vinyl version of 'Honor Found In Decay' is out now! Released via Relapse/Neurot the massive 2xLP edition is packaged in a Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket and accompanied by a 16-page LP-sized booklet. The audio was cut directly from the original studio master tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl, available in five different colors: 2000 on black, 1000 on translucent smoke grey, 500 on translucent yellow, 500 on translucent orange, and 100 on clear, not available to the public.

NEUROSIS Return To New York City & Perform A Historic Set

Yesterday (January 19), NEUROSIS returned to New York City, Brooklyn to be more specific, in support of their tenth studio album entitled 'Honor Found In Decay'. The bands triumphant return after many years of silence, took place at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. A venue with "perfect" acoustics and with the perfect vibe for a band like NEUROSIS.

Not only did the band sound amazing, but they proved why they have been considered a forced to be reckoned with on and off stage ever since their inception in 1985. With a complete NEW look on stage, the bands music sounded more powerful without the visual distractions that they had with them for years. According to vocalist/guitarist Scott Kelly they wanted to strip down their set in order to have the music speak for itself, and they don't turn away the idea of one day bringing back their visual show. We personally think that there could have been more of a lighting show just to setup the mood during different songs; keeping one blue light during an entire show is definitely a bold statement.

For the most part, the fans were stoked with the song selection but there were a few fans that wanted to hear classics like "The Sun That Never Sets". However, NEUROSIS is the type of band is that real careful with their song selection so they don't end up becoming predictable.

The bands set list was as follows:

NEUROSIS Honor Found In Decay Live Actions (remaining tour dates):

- 1/20/2013: Union Transfer in Philadelphia, PA
- 2/16/2013: Summit Music Hall in Denver, CO
- 2/17/2013: Emo’s East in Austin, TX
- 6/21/2013: Hellfest in Clisson, France

In other NEUROSIS news, the band has been confirmed for 2013’s installment of the massive Hellfest festival in Clisson, France. The immense gathering runs from June 21st through 23rd, and will see NEUROSIS sharing the stage with Kiss, ZZ Top, Down, Bad Religion, At The Gates, Kreator and hundreds more.

Additionally, the deluxe 2xLP pressing of the album will be unleashed February 5th in North America, February 8th in Germany/Benelux/Finland and February 11th in the UK/World, via Relapse Records/Neurot Recordings, and will be packaged in a gorgeous Stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket and accompanied by a stunning 16-page LP-sized booklet. The audio was cut directly from the original studio master tapes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl, which will be available in five different colors: 2000 on black, 1000 on translucent smoke grey, 500 on translucent yellow, 500 on translucent orange, and 100 on clear, not available to the public.

NEUROSIS Reveal Album Artwork & Track Listing For 'Honor Found In Decay'!

Anticipation for Honor Found In Decay, the tenth studio album by NEUROSIS, is starting to intensify, as we count down the days until its North American release date on October 30th. Like an eclipse, a brand new NEUROSIS album is not a frequent occurrence and when it comes around, every last moment must be savored. For this momentous event, all the forces are aligned.

NEUROSIS forged the songs on Honor Found In Decay with the revered Steve Albini, marking their fifth collaboration with the engineer in their longstanding relationship. Their monolithic sound captured at Electrical Audio studios, Chicago, the seven tracks were then mastered by John Golden at Golden Mastering in Ventura, California.

Aesthetics have always been paramount for NEUROSIS and with Honor Found In Decay, Steve Von Till, Scott Kelly, Noah Landis, Jason Roeder and Dave Edwardson's musical vision is brilliantly evoked by NEUROSIS' visual guru Josh Graham. And with that, we proudly unveil the cover art and track listing for this prodigious album, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases in the band's extensive history. View the cover art below.

'Honor Found In Decay' Track Listing:

1. We All Rage In Gold
2. At The Well
3. My Heart For Deliverance
4. Bleeding The Pigs

7. Raise The Dawn

NEUROSIS is:

- Scott Kelly: Vocals/Guitars

NEUROSIS Reveal Title Of 11th Studio Album!

It is said that great art has the power to take us outside of ourselves and bring us closer to ourselves simultaneously. Few bands have accomplished this rare feat on a more profound and consistent basis than NEUROSIS. For nearly three decades, their music has touched the hearts and minds of young men and women seeking contact with something beyond the physical world, something intangible, something that expresses the inner tumult of the human condition in a way that transcends time and space. Something that not only provokes questions but maybe even hints at answers.

Since 1985 this matchless force has surpassed the boundaries of any genre, never ceasing to mutate and progress their songwriting and sonic delivery, and never failing to mesmerize audiences both in the studio and onstage. And as the anticipation from their diehard fanbase reaches a boiling point, this week NEUROSIS unveil the title of their eleventh full-length studio creation, which will manifest itself as 'Honor Found In Decay'.

The follow-up to their acclaimed 2007-released 'Given To The Rising' album, the music on 'Honor Found In Decay' is both torturous and transcendent. It is the ongoing exposition of a vast internal dialogue that seems to carry the weight of eons. With the right kind of ears and eyes, it can seem like the trials and tribulations of mankind are being channeled through five individuals: Steve Von Till, Scott Kelly, Noah Landis, Jason Roeder and Dave Edwardson. And yet? They will be the first ones to tell you that they are just regular people trying to make sense of the world around them. Aided by Josh Graham, their resident visual guru, they transmit their interpretations through multiple sensory planes. The degree to which NEUROSIS allows them to step out of their everyday lives is the distance between one and zero, the distance between thinking and doing, the distance between this minute and the one that may or may not follow. Which is to say: NEUROSIS takes them outside of themselves and brings them closer to themselves. Simultaneously.

This next chapter in the evolution of NEUROSIS will see worldwide release through the band’s own Neurot Recordings this Autumn, in Germany October 26th, in the UK October 29th, and in North America on October 30th.

Further details on 'Honor Found In Decay' will be made available over the coming weeks.

NEUROSIS is:

- Scott Kelly: Vocals/Guitars
- Steve Von Till: Vocals/Guitars
- Dave Edwardson: Bass
- Jason Roeder: Drums
- Noah Landis: Keyboards
- Josh Graham: Visual effects, art

Update On NEUROSIS' NEW Album

The Kings of Atmospheric Sludge Metal Neurosis have had a very extensive career. Ever since their formation in 1985 they have revolutionized music and have never stopped reinventing their sonic adventures in the music industry. They have consciously tapped into the elusive wellspring where resonance and dissonance collude, circling emotional poles where nothing is withheld, where the psyche screams for answers to Earth's ancient mysteries.

Today it was announced, that NEUROSIS has finished mixing its long-awaited NEW studio album. The follow-up to 2007's 'Given To The Rising' was recorded last November and is due out before the end of the year.

Stay tuned for more updates on the reissue and on Neurosis actions as a whole throughout 2012!

Nate Hall (USX Mainman) To Release Solo Album!

USX guitarist/vocalist/wordsmith Nate Hall will release his first solo record this Spring via Neurot Recordings. Titled, 'A Great River', the ten-track opus offers up a lush landscape of sonic richness. Recorded in March 2011 by Travis Kammeyer at Fahrenheit Studio in Johnson City, Tennessee, A Great River features the pastoral artwork of Dark Castle's Stevie Floyd (as seen above).

Commented Hall on his latest musical journey: "This record was something I needed to do. I didn't really plan on it, but it helped me to get rid of a lot of bad dreams. Feelings that pulled me down. Things that I would not carry around with me anymore. It helped me to put the past behind me. Now I can look to the future."

'A Great River' is as pure and honest as music gets. The songs are regretful of the bad times, hopeful of times to come, and respectful of the great power that causes all thing to be. It is a reflection of a lifetime spent with the echoes of Dylan, Young, Petty, Springsteen, and Van Zandt. It draws from the rich musical history of America, the melancholy of Appalachia, and harnesses the electric vacuum roar of guitar slingers past and present.

'A Great River' Track Listing:

01. The Earth In One Cell
02. Dark Star
03. Kathleen
04. Night Theme
05. Chains
06. To Wake And Dream
07. Raw Chords
08. Electric Night Theme
09. When The Stars Begin To Fall
10. A Great River

'A Great River' will be released in the UK on May 7, 2012 and the US on May 8, 2012 via Neurot Recordings.

The previously-announced Western U.S. acoustic tour from Scott Kelly and friends begins tomorrow in Seattle, Washington.

On this tour, the Neurosis/Shrinebuilder frontman will mesmerize open-minded locals and followers of his infamous, dark solo material to audiences across the western half of the country. Also just announced, Scott Kelly will tour Australia and New Zealand for the first time as a solo artist this February. John Baizley (Baroness) will be performing his first ever solo dates as support for Kelly on these dates as well.

Neurosis to Reissue Classic "Sovereign" EP!

The reissue of their classic EP titled "Sovereign" will be released in North America on September 12, 2011. Neurosis is currently plotting more live appearances for the coming months, and as they continue to culminate their energies into the band's upcoming new full-length release.

Originally unveiled in 2000, the "Sovereign EP" was the first release that the band did through the band's own record label called Neurot Recordings, with the vinyl pressing handled by Hydra Head. "Sovereign" served as a millennial segue between two of the band's two revered full-lengths of that era; "Times Of Grace" (1999) and "A Sun That Never Sets" (2001)

Sovereign Reissue Track Listing:
1. Prayer
2. An Offering
3. Flood
4. Sovereign
5. Misgiven* [newly released track]

The EP is a psychotropic experience of the highest order. And to top that off, this Neurot Recordings CD reissue also includes a previously unreleased fifth track, with the inescapably feedback-tormented hymn "Misgiven" closing out the reissue, added as a special bonus to this repressing of the recordings. The reissue comes bound in an O-Card/jewel case setup like the other recent Neurosis reissues, with artwork completely redesigned and updated by Aaron Turner.

The band has recently reissued the following albums:
- Souls At Zero (1992)
- Enemy Of The Sun (1993)

Check out the new cover, live footage of Neurosis performing at this year's Maryland Deathfest:

Stay tuned for more updates on the reissue and on Neurosis actions as a whole throughout 2012!
