DORO Proves New York City Why She Is The Queen Of Metal!
Last Monday, February 4, the Queen Of Metal Doro Pesch performed at B.B. King right in the heart of Times Square in New York City. As usual, Doro lit up the entire venue as soon as she took center stage with her phenomenal band. Support on this show came from Sister Sin and Flames Of Fury.
Since we are all way too focused on Doro's voice and stage presence (because she rocks), it is only fair that we mention her band mates before we continue. Doro's band consists of: the great Johnny Dee on drums, Italian music excellency Luca Princiotta on guitar and keyboards, the one and only Nick Douglas on bass, and Bas Maas on guitars.
OK, now back to Doro. To question Doro's musical excellence is blasphemous and should be illegal in all five continents. Doro might be 48 years old, but she has more energy than a lot of young musicians out there. Her inarguable charm and charisma while on stage is not to be ignored, and we love how she is constantly romancing her crowd in the most genuine way and telling them over and over again "Ich liebe dich" (I love you, in German). It is safe to assume, that no one leaves a Doro show without a big smile and with their soul full of Metal.
In support of her latest record 'Raise Your Fist' (available now via Nuclear Blast Records), Doro and her crew brought with them a very well grounded set list. Not only did Doro sing some classic songs from her former band WARLOCK such as "I Rule the Ruins", "Burning the Witches", "Fight for Rock", and "All We Are", but she also whaled her song "Hero" plus a cover of "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest. She finalized her memorable set with "Love Me in Black".
If you like your ears and love your soul, you need to catch Doro live! Here are the remaining tour dates:

German Metal Queen DORO Announces North American Tour With Sister Sin!
Metal queen DORO PESCH will be returning to North America in 2013 to rock the masses in support of her twelfth solo album, 'Raise Your Fist'! The tour is set to commence on February 1st in Tampa, Florida with support provided by Sweden’s SISTER SIN. Exclusive pre-sale tickets can be purchased at EnterTheVault.com through October 5; afterwards, tickets will be available through all normal ticketing outlets.
Comments DORO of the long-awaited trek: “I’m so excited to tour North America again! I can’t wait to see all the great fans again and play the NEW songs off 'Raise Your Fist' and of course all the songs the fans love. It’ll be a set list with the best tunes, hard and fast and lots of anthems and surprises. We’ll have some very special guests at our New York City and Los Angeles shows too and killer support from SISTER SIN! I can’t wait to see you guys and wish you all the very best. Until then, raise your fist in the air and all we are will rule the ruins! I love you fuer immer! See you soon.”
'Raise Your Fist' is due out in the U.S. and Canada on November 6 via Nuclear Blast Records and features guest appearances by Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister as well as Ozzy/Firewind guitarist Gus G. Elaborated DORO of the release “Most important to me are the power hymns ‘Raise Your Fist In The Air’ and ‘Victory.’ Both songs have been played live on our last tour and also made last year’s Wacken Open Air shake! For the diehard fans of German songs like ‘Für Immer’ [‘Forever’], there are two songs in the same vein: the sensitive and quite dark ‘Human Rights’ and the very emotional ‘Engel’ [‘Angel’]. There are also a lot of fast songs like ‘Little Headbanger’ and various fist-pumping ones featuring amazing guests like Gus G on ‘Last Man Standing’ which fans are sure to dig live. We also have a song that honors the late Ronnie James Dio called ‘Hero’ and another highlight called ‘It Still Hurts’ featuring Lemmy. The cover artwork has once again been created by British artist Geoffrey Gillespie who is a close friend and companion since he made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for his 'Triumph And Agony' cover as the biggest album cover in the world. Since then, he’s done ten covers for us!”

Deutsche Metal Queen DORO Reveals NEW Album Details!
Reigning Queen of Metal, DORO PESCH, has checked-in from her work in the studio to issue the following update:
"The NEW album will be entitled 'Raise Your Fist' and has been recorded and written in the U.S., Germany, and Scandinavia. Right now we're in the mixing stages and are close to finishing everything. Most important to me are the power hymns ‘Raise Your Fist In The Air’ and ‘Victory,’ which will also be available on the forthcoming EP! Both songs have been played live on our last tour and also made last year’s Wacken Open Air shake! ‘Raise Your Fist In The Air’ will also be available in French… which is going to be very interesting. For the diehard fans of German songs like ‘Für Immer’ (‘Forever’), there are two songs in the same vein: the sensitive and quite dark ‘Human Rights’ and the very emotional ‘Engel’ (‘Angel’). There are also a lot of fast songs like ‘Little Headbanger’ and various fist-pumping ones featuring amazing guests like Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind) on ‘Last Man Standing’ which fans will for sure dig live. We also have a song that honors the late Ronnie James Dio called ‘Hero’ and another highlight named ‘It Still Hurts’ featuring Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister. The cover artwork has once again been created by British artist Geoffrey Gillespie who is a close friend and companion since he made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for his Triumph And Agony cover as the biggest album cover in the world.
