SPIRITUAL BEGGARS Premiere Music Video For "Wise As A Serpent"
Sweden's classic Rock heavyweights SPIRITUAL BEGGARS are now premiering the video clip for "Wise As A Serpent," the opening track of the band's stunning NEW album 'Earth
Blues'. The band's guitarist and main songwriter, Michael Amott, checked in to comment on the clip:
"We chose this particular song as the first video off 'Earth Blues' 'cos it's an explosive track and also the shortest song on the album! I filmed and directed the video myself and Anders Björler (AT THE GATES) did a great job on the edit. We're more than pleased with the end result, it's done in true DIY spirit...raw and authentic."
You can now watch the clip below, courtesy of Decibel Magazine:
SPIRITUAL BEGGARS is:
- Michael Amott (Guitars | ARCH ENEMY, ex CARCASS)
- Ludwig Witt (Drums | GRAND MAGUS, ex FIREBIRD)
- Per Wiberg (Keys | ex OPETH)
- Sharlee D'Angelo (Bass | ARCH ENEMY, WITCHERY)
- Apollo Papathanasio (Vocals | FIREWIND)

CARCASS Announce NEW Album!
Great news! British Metal maniacs CARCASS have announced that they are working on a NEW album! In an exclusive interview with Decibel Magazine, Jeff Walker (frontman and bassist) confirmed that CARCASS is in the studio working on NEW music. The last time the band released an album was in 1996, which is when 'Swansong' was released.
The CARCASS camp have announced that As for vocals, guitarist Bill Steer will bring a Necroticism style of and Walker promises more range on his vocals. They have also announced that Daniel Wilding will be the bands drummer this time around. In recent memory, Wilding has performed with Behemoth and Kataklysm, and is currently the drummer for Trigger The Bloodshed. Walker is hoping that founding drummer Ken Owen will make an appearance on the album as well.
It has also been confirmed that guitar icon Michael Amott will not be part of this generation of CARCASS, due to his busy agenda with ARCH ENEMY and SPIRITUAL BEGGARS.
Here is what Walker had to say about the bands NEW batch of music:
“Good timing, eh? Twenty-five years we first recorded Reek of Putrefaction. The incentive was off Bill. I’d verbally expressed an interest in doing something but I needed Bill to have the desire and hunger again and that’s exactly what has happened. He recalled watching Dan Wilding play on tour with us in 2008 and something about him struck a chord and he wanted to work with him. There was something about him that kind of reminded him of Ken, on a personal level as much as his playing. We’ve done this recording firstly for ourselves—there’s no label backing even as you read this—in fact me and Bill have spent a small fortune out of our pocket to see this through—it’s more of an artistic/personal statement than anything.”

DORO PESCH Featured In Decibel Magazine's "Queens Of Noise" Special Issue!
Reigning Queen of Metal DORO PESCH is featured in Decibel Magazine’s August 2012 special “Women In Metal” issue. In an interview conducted by J. Bennett, DORO discusses her new 'Raise Your Fist' record, reminisces about quitting her job in 1986 to tour with Judas Priest, what her one-year stint in a hospital years ago taught her, and the nexus of attitude and being dignified.
Secure your copy of Decibel Issue #94 HERE.
DORO’s 'Raise Your Fist' album was recorded and written in the U.S., Germany, and Scandinavia and will be released in North America this Fall. “Most important to me are the power hymns ‘Raise Your Fist In The Air’ and ‘Victory,’” DORO has previously stated. “Both songs have been played live on our last tour and also made last year’s Wacken Open Air shake!”
Musical guests on Raise Your Fist include Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister and Ozzy/Firewind guitarist Gus G. Album artwork has once again been created by British artist and longtime collaborator Geoffrey Gillespie. Click here for all the details on Doro's NEW Album!
DORO appeared in a May episode of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show with Billy Duffy and Ian Astbury of The Cult; watch it HERE.

DYING FETUS Gets Inducted Into Decibel Magazine's Hall of Fame! ; NEW Album Drops Soon!
'Reign Supreme' will be released June 19th on Relapse Records and is available for pre-order at the link below. 'Reign Supreme' features nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know.
The band recently completed work on a video for the song "Second Skin". The video was directed by Jakob Arevarn, who has also shot videos for Draconian, Vildhjarta and Carnal Forge. Look for the video to be premiered in the coming weeks.
DYING FETUS are offering a free download of the track "Subjected to a Beating" on their Bandcamp Page HERE.
Alternative Press is hosting a stream of the song "From Womb to Waste" HERE.
DYING FETUS will be on tour all summer long starting with the "18 Nights of Blood Tour" in North America with label mates REVOCATION and Six Feet Under. They will also be on a headlining European tour which includes appearances at the "Copenhell Festival" in Copenhagen, Denmark, "Hell Fest" in Clisson, France, the "With Full Force" festival in Roitzschjora, Germany, "Sevilla Rock Festival" in Sevilla, Spain and the "Getaway Rock Fest" in Gävle, Sweden.

Listen To SIX FEET UNDER's NEW Album 'Undead' Right Now!
Let Decibel magazine hurl your weekend into a sonic maelstrom of brutality with a full stream of 'Undead', the forthcoming NEW studio offering from Death Metal monarchs SIX FEET UNDER. Scheduled for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records, 'Undead' was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver) and mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy) at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. The record features an updated lineup of Barnes alongside guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson (ex-Massacre), bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile), and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Chimaira) and has already begun raising the ears of fans and critics alike. In an early review, Blistering.com commends the band for giving "meat-and-potatoes Death Metal a nice kick in the behind," PitRiff.com champions 'Undead' for being "powerful, musical and yet distinctly death metal," while PureGrainAudio opines: " …one of the world's biggest Death Metal acts is still a commanding force of sonic destruction." Adds Metal Assault in a 9/10 rating: "if you're into throat-grabbing riffs and groove-oriented extreme music… 'Undead' is right up your alley."
Stream 'Undead' in its relentless entirety at THIS LOCATION (courtesy of Decibel Magazine).
Recently, we had the chance to chat with Death Metal screamer/legend Chris Barnes from the mighty SIX FEET UNDER about the band's forthcoming NEW full-length, 'Undead'. During the conversation, we chatted with Chris about how Cannabis aids his musical power and about all the touring plans that are on already scripted on the SIX FEET UNDER agenda. So grab your smoke, lay back, crank it up, and check out our interview with Chris Barnes from SIX FEET UNDER!!!
In conjunction with the release of 'Undead', SIX FEET UNDER will demolish the masses on a near three-week run of live rituals this June. Dubbed the "18 Nights Of Blood Tour", the journey will begin in Atlanta, Georgia on June 8. Support will be provided by Dying Fetus and Revocation. Comments Barnes: "We want to get out there and pretty much destroy. We want to play to as many people as possible, and show all of the fans out there the new songs, and leave nothing but a trail of blood in our wake. We're hoping that whoever makes body bags are upping their output, because after this record comes out there'll be a lot of decomposing bodies out there!

Celebrate Mother's Day With Metal Mother Lita Ford - NEW Song "Mother" Available!
In honor of Mothers Day, Decibel Magazine is celebrating with a special interview and song premiere from "Metal Mother" Lita Ford. Recently LITA took some time to talk about her children and her forthcoming release 'Living Like A Runaway'. Check out the interview and an exclusive premiere from Living Like a Runaway, the heartfelt ballad dedicated to her sons entitled "Mother" HERE.
LITA FORD has teamed up with producer Gary Hoey and lyricist Michael Dan Ehmig to work on 'Living Like a Runaway'. Together the team invested a lot of time and effort into this kick ass project: "We worked on the lyrics intensively to really give the songs a lot of meaning and that special emotional depth. I think that these are some of the best lyrics ever, period. FORD is referring to numbers such as 'Devil In My Head,' 'Hate,' and 'The Asylum' which see her bare her soul in a way which she has never done before.
Coinciding with the album's release, LITA is hitting the road this summer with Def Leppard and Poison on the "Rock of Ages Tour". The dates for the first leg of the tour have been announced and are listed below. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
Following the demise of the Runaways, LITA FORD concentrated on her own career and now looks back on many memorable hits including: the chart topping duet with Ozzy Osbourne "Close Your Eyes Forever" "What Do You Know About Love", "Shot Of Poison", "Larger Than Life" and "Kiss Me Deadly". With the release of Living Like A Runaway, expect many more songs to be added to the list of hits.

PARADISE LOST Premiere Music Video For “Honesty In Death”!
Gothic metallers PARADISE LOST are well known for their intense videos from their two previous albums. "The Enemy" from the 2007 album 'In Requiem' was shot on the Crimea peninsula and caused some problems with TV companies due to the execution scenes. The video for the title track of 'Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us' from 2009 was even more disturbing with its scenes of physical and emotional abuse. The brand NEW "Honesty In Death" video from the band's upcoming album, 'Tragic Idol', keeps this tradition. Watch the NEW video below.
Greg Mackintosh (guitar) comments: "We are very excited about the premiere of our 'Honesty In Death' video. In my opinion it is the best video we have ever done. Matt Green, who I had previously worked with on the VALLENFYRE 'Cathedrals of Dread' video, directed it. He did such a great job with VALLENFYRE that we knew he would be able to do something really special for PARADISE LOST. The result is a very powerful, but very grim short film with brief cameos by the band, that is sure to resonate with people who see it."
PARADISE LOST's upcoming album, 'Tragic Idol', is scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records on April 23rd in Europe and April 24th in North America.
