Kylesa’s 'From The Vaults, Vol. 1' will be available tomorrow (November 20) via Season of Mist Records. The twelve-song collection which features unreleased, NEW and alternate versions of songs spanning the Savannah-based band’s catalogue, is now streaming in its entirety via Loudwire (click HERE to listen).

"This project has been a labor of love," explained guitarist/singer/producer Phillip Cope. "We have spent over a year going through old songs, covers, etc. and collected those we felt went well together; remixing and finishing them up. We didn't want to release something just thrown together so we put a lot of thought and time into it. I am really happy about how this came together. I think it is a good representation of Kylesa's different styles from early on to present day."

Singer/guitar player Laura Pleasants recently gave Decibel Magazine an in-depth look at the songs included on From The Vaults, Vol. 1 with a track-by-track rundown: click HERE to listen!.

The band is currently recording a NEW album at The Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina with Cope once again producing the album. He has previously produced releases from Baroness, Withered and Black Tusk.

MORBID ANGEL: Tim Yeung Discusses Learning "Hard" Songs, Drumming Techniques & Future Projects!

Iconic Death Metallers MORBID ANGEL are currently part of a month long North American tour with Sweden's DARK FUNERAL, GRAVE and VADIM VON. The tour will conclude on October 19th in San Antonio, Texas and is NOT to be missed!

The band is touring in support of their latest album, 'Illud Divinum Insanus' which was released by Season of Mist last year. The very controversial album is MORBID ANGEL's eighth studio release and is the first album in 16 years to feature bassist/vocalist David Vincent.

Last Wednesday, September 26, MORBID ANGEL performed at B.B. King's in New York City and proved once again why they are one of the strongest live bands in the world. In typical MORBID ANGEL fashion, the band was nursing a brutal hangover after a day/night off in the "Big Apple", but this did not affect their performance whatsoever. After all, they all are professional drinkers!

Prior to the bands performance, we were able to chat with the bands skin master Tim Yeung. During the conversation, Yeung told us about the bands current tour in support of their latest album 'Illud Divinum Insanus' and how even he was surprised when he first heard the bands latest sonic arsenal. We also discussed drumming techniques and how he handles extensive recording sessions by using his favorite drumming weapons of choice. We also talked about his NEW Rock N' Roll driven band DEATH DIVISION and about the future of DIVINE HERESY. Crank the volume to 11 and listen up!

Morbid Angel Reveal Details About Remix Album!

When Death Metallers Morbid Angel unleashed their latest album entitled "Illud Divinum Insanus" on June 7th via Season Of Mist, the Heavy Music community was appalled by what the band had created. Many believe that the band experimented way too much and as a result many diehard Morbid Angel fans were pissed off, some even turned their backs on the band. This is what vocalist/bassist David Vincent had to say about the bands latest musical creation:

"Well, the only thing we do is make music and we're creative. We don't think about these things so much. We do what we do. My work is done, other than we perform. But the studio is done. We made a record that broke down a lot of boundaries and included some stuff that was never included before. But we've always done these kind of things. It should be no surprise to anyone that we always do crazy things, 'cause we crazy."

"Illud Divinum Insanus", sold around 3,600 copies in the U.S. during its first week of being released and entered The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 141. This album marks Morbid Angel's first CD to feature bassist/vocalist David Vincent since 1995's "Domination".

Morbid Angel recently announced that they are taking their latest effort into a whole new level. On February 24, 2012 (February 28 in North America), Season of Mist will release a remix album entitled "Illud Divinum Insanus - The Remixes", which will include tracks from their latest album "Illud Divinum Insanus". The compilation will feature 39 artists from the electro/industrial, techno and club scene.

Here are some of the artists that will be featured on "Illud Divinum Insanus - The Remixes":

Cynic Announces Release Party & Special Acoustic Performance In New York City!

Coinciding with the release of their NEW album "Carbon-Based Anatomy" (In Stores November 15th via Season Of Mist), CYNIC have confirmed a special release party for this Wednesday, November 2nd at Idle Hands Bar in New York City. The band will be on hand signing copies of the new EP and a special intimate acoustic set is planned for the evening as well.

On their new EP "Carbon-Based Anatomy", CYNIC have once again taken their natural inter-fusion of musical styles and turned it into something truly singular. "Carbon-Based Anatomy" is equal parts King Crimson, Tool, Muse and Allan Holdsworth. It's a 23-minute transcendent musical journey through the fertile musical minds of guitarist Paul Masvidal and progressive drumming icon Sean Reinert. Beginning with their much-venerated 1993 debut release "Focus", CYNIC have long been famous for pushing musical boundaries. Now in 2011, CYNIC have redefined themselves once again with a 6-song EP that combines diverse influences from 70s-inspired Prog Rock to cutting-edge Metal, tribal folk and futuristic alien shapes and sounds.

All of these diverse elements have been harnessed and carefully shaped by mixer John Hiler, into what is unquestionably the most open and expansive-sounding release of CYNIC's career. "Carbon-Based Anatomy" is retro, yet at the same time is unapologetically modern. It is respectful of the groundbreaking artists that have made musical evolution possible yet refuses to be stifled by that reverence. It is wholly appreciative of past musical landmarks but is unashamedly forward- thinking. "Carbon-Based Anatomy" is CYNIC's next bold step into the future and is a harbinger of the great music to come.

CYNIC will be joined on their US and European tours by new members Brandon Giffin (ex-The Faceless) on bass and Baltimore Holdsworth-styled guitar prodigy Max Phelps. Tour dates are can be found below.

CYNIC is:

- Paul Masvidal: Vocals, Guitars
- Sean Reinert: Drums, Percussion
- Sean Malone: Bass (Album)
- Amy Correia: Vocals (Album)
- Max Phelps: Guitar, Vocals (Live)
- Brandon Giffin - Bass (Live)
