Corey Taylor In-depth Interview about his New Book "Seven Deadly Sins" with That Metal Show's Jim Florentine

The very outspoken Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour decided that instead of writing an autobiography like everyone else does, he would write something very different. This is what he had to say about this:

“I’ve been threatening to write a book for a long time, but since every Tom, Dick and Harry writes an autobiography, I didn’t want to just do that. My approach to writing is the same as my approach to music: I don’t want to do what everybody else is doing.”

“Seven Deadly Sins” is Taylor’s candid, outrageous manifesto reflecting on the subject and nature of sin. The book will was released on July 12 in the U.S and July 14 in the U.K.

Our good friend Jim Florentine from VH1 Classic's That Metal Show, conducted an in depth interview with Taylor about his upcoming book "Seven Deadly Sins", his life and of course, his music. Check out the entire interview:

Stone Sour to Release Live DVD & Covers EP!

Corey Taylor from Slipknot and Stone Sour, has been busy with the book tour for his brand new book titled "Seven Deadly Sins" (in stores now!). While at his recent stop at London's Relentless Garage on Tuesday, July 12, he hinted to press and fans that Stone Sour have some cool releases in the works:

"We've got a really cool idea that we're thinking about doing. We're actually thinking - and I might be letting the cat out of the bag - but we're thinking about doing a special release of a DVD, which will be Live At Brighton (Stone Sour performed here on November 7, 2010), and a covers EP that we've been talking about doing for a really long time. So it could be really cool! We're gonna probably record it in September/October, somewhere in there, get that together. That way it's not just a DVD, it's a special little CD as well. So we'll see what fucking happens." - Corey Taylor
