JOB FOR A COWBOY's Jonny Davy Talks About "Summer Slaughter", 'Demonocracy' & NEW Music Video For "Tarnished Gluttony"!
Recently, the tri-state area Headbangers joined forces at New York City's legendary venue Irving Plaza (formerly The Fillmore) for the 2012 Summer Slaughter Tour. This years event is co-headlined by the mighty CANNIBAL CORPSE and Progressive Metallers BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME. Two bands that have a very different sound, but that have managed to open the minds of each others fans by penetrating ear drums like very few bands out there. The 2012 SUMMER SLAUGHTER tour truly represents what the state of Heavy Music is today: many different types of fans coming together to jam out to their favorite bands while learning about new bands and tendencies.
Following JOB FOR A COWBOY's demolishing set, in which they performed a bunch of NEW songs from their latest album 'Demonocracy' (available now via Metal Blade Records), we had the chance to chat with JFAC's frontman Jonny Davy about the 2012 SUMMER SLAUGHTER tour, their NEW album and the bands brand NEW music video for "Tarnished Gluttony" (Watch it HERE!)! Without further due, crank the volume to 11 and glue your eyes to this interview!

JOB FOR A COWBOY Premiere PUNISHING Music Video For "Tarnished Gluttony"
JOB FOR A COWBOY are currently demolishing crowds at the month-long Summer Slaughter trek. Today, the band is premiering a music video for "Tarnished Gluttony". The disturbing nine-and-a-half-minute clip was directed by Michael Panduro, who has previously worked with SAINT VITUS and CEPHALIC CARNAGE.
"'Tarnished Gluttony' originally runs off the idea of blind faith into our government and monetary system. The director ran with the idea and spliced it with a H.P. Lovecraftian twist. The video streams the fascination of religion and the actions people justify in the name of religion, and this video is a spin on the old biblical tale of Abraham and Isaac, however, set in the world of Lovecraftian mythology. The point is, acting blindly in faith to a Christian deity is just as absurd as worshiping squid like monsters from space who live under the sea." - Jonny Davey (front man of JOB FOR A COWBOY)
Adds Panduro: "As a commercial director, I'm a complete failure. The band asked for just one thing and I couldn't deliver. Indeed, this video has no boobs."
Complete list of tour dates:
8/08 - New York, NY @ Irving Plaza 8/09 - Albany, NY @ Northern Lights
8/10 - Worcester, MA @ The Palladium
