The 2012 SUMMER SLAUGHTER tour truly represents what the state of Heavy Music is today: many different types of fans coming together to jam out to their favorite bands while learning about new bands and tendencies.

JOB FOR A COWBOY Premiere PUNISHING Music Video For "Tarnished Gluttony"

JOB FOR A COWBOY are currently demolishing crowds at the month-long Summer Slaughter trek. Today, the band is premiering a music video for "Tarnished Gluttony". The disturbing nine-and-a-half-minute clip was directed by Michael Panduro, who has previously worked with SAINT VITUS and CEPHALIC CARNAGE.

"'Tarnished Gluttony' originally runs off the idea of blind faith into our government and monetary system. The director ran with the idea and spliced it with a H.P. Lovecraftian twist. The video streams the fascination of religion and the actions people justify in the name of religion, and this video is a spin on the old biblical tale of Abraham and Isaac, however, set in the world of Lovecraftian mythology. The point is, acting blindly in faith to a Christian deity is just as absurd as worshiping squid like monsters from space who live under the sea." - Jonny Davey (front man of JOB FOR A COWBOY)

Adds Panduro: "As a commercial director, I'm a complete failure. The band asked for just one thing and I couldn't deliver. Indeed, this video has no boobs."

JOB FOR A COWBOY Joined By The Red Chord’s Mike "Gunface" McKenzie!

JOB FOR A COWBOY are currently readying for their month-long Summer Slaughter trek, set to commence next week in Los Angeles. Bassist Nick Schendzielos will be forced to sit out part of the run due to a family emergency. The band will be joined temporarily by The Red Chord guitarist Mike "Gunface" McKenzie.

Comments Schendzielos: "Hey friends: On June 28, immediately after landing in Boston to rehearse for Puerto Rico/Summer Slaughter, my girlfriend was in a head-on collision on her scooter. She sustained very serious head and bodily injuries. I flew right home, and we've been in the ICU for a week and are still in the hospital to make sure everything is okay. She needs 24/7 supervision for at least two weeks once we get out of here, so I'm very grateful to announce that Gunface from The Red Chord is going to help me out filling in on Summer Slaughter until I can meet back up with it. We love the dude very much and it's going to be really cool for both JFAC and TRC fans to see. Enormous thanks for understanding this difficult situation and I'll be back as soon as possible!"

Adds McKenzie: "I'm excited to be playing with JFAC on this tour. Great dudes in this band as well as in the bands on Summer Slaughter. Playing bass is a little different for me but definitely an interesting challenge. I'm definitely looking forward to getting out on the road again. Nick's bass work is incredible and I'm working hard to get all of his parts down. Sending positive vibes out to him and his lady."

JOB FOR A COWBOY will be touring in support of Demonocracy, released earlier this Spring through Metal Blade Records. Called “…an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record,” by Alternative Press and “…a very strong exercise in slickly-produced, technically sound death metal…” by Decibel, the maniacal Jason Suecof-produced masterwork tackles a host of political and economic themes and continues to raise the eyebrows of fans and media alike. Don’t miss the band on Summer Slaughter!

Decibel agrees crowning the record a “…very stronger exercise in slickly-produced, technically sound Death Metal smart enough to know that a little variety can do a tech-death band a world of good.”

JOB FOR A COWBOY Are Coming For JAPAN - Details Available!

Death Metal collective JOB FOR A COWBOY today announce four special headlining dates in Japan! Following their trek on the Metal Alliance tour, which is currently underway, the band will play two shows in Tokyo as well as Nagoya and Okinawa beginning on May 18. Confirmed dates are below:

- 5/18/2012 Shibuya Cyclone - Tokyo, Japan w/ Unite
- 5/19/2012 Sakae R.A.D - Nagoya, Japan w/ Infernal Revulsion, Death I Am, Hostile Eyes, Neuerwind
- 5/20/2012 Shibuya Milkyway - Tokyo, Japan w/ Arise In Stability, Metal Safari, Infernal Revulsion, Death I Am
- 5/21/2012 Chatan Salt & Papper - Okinawa, Japan w/ Illuminati, Shores, Roach, Shakes Beard

JOB FOR A COWBOY will be touring in support of their brand NEW studio recording, 'Demonocracy', released in North America last week through Metal Blade Records. The intricate, Jason Suecof-produced offering tackles various political and economic themes and continues to crush the masses nationally. In a recent review Ultimate-Guitar noted of the record: "The album plays like a constant assault, and while never backing off it still manages to add enough structure for individual songs to become memorable," adding that, "the soloing is surprisingly catchy and well-executed while still managing to sit well in the context of the songs." Alternative Press calls Demonocracy "an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record," while Stereokiller agrees: "…a solid slab of some really heavy technical Death Metal. JOB FOR A COWBOY has separated themselves from former peers such as All Shall Perish and Whitechapel, and has now firmly fitted themselves with the likes of Suffocation and Dying Fetus."

In related news, the fourth in the "The Leads Are Weak" instructional video series by guitar wizard Tony Sannicandro is currently posted for your viewing pleasure. Subtitled "Getting Sexual," Sannicandro elaborates: "One of the most important things to me in soloing is good phrasing. The first half of the 'Misery Reformatory' solo is a pretty cool example of good phrasing that fits the song. It would have been easy to go to the classic E-minor and start burning like the clap, but I figured it would be better to break it down a little simpler and make it sexy. This is easy to play but it's a good lesson in outlining the solo like the curves of a beautiful broad." See for yourself!

JOB FOR A COWBOY's long-anticipated NEW full-length 'Demonocracy' is out TODAY through Metal Blade Records. Produced by Jason Suecof (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium) at Audiohammer Studios, the complex Death Metal opus, tackles a host of political and economic themes and has already reaped the praise of fans and critics nationally. In a 4/5 rating, Alternative Press calls 'Demonocracy' "an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record," Hellbound commends the band for managing to “bend the ol’ familiar Death Metal formula their way and come up with something that is both invigorating and original,” while Stereokiller notes: “…a solid slab of some really heavy technical Death M etal. JOB FOR A COWBOY has separated themselves from former peers such as All Shall Perish and Whitechapel, and has now firmly fitted themselves with the likes of Suffocation and Dying Fetus." Metal Army America opines in an A+ review: "History was made with this album," while Craveonline agrees:  "JOB FOR A COWBOY…produce ugly music for an ugly world. If art is a reflection of humanity, then JOB FOR A COWBOY are showing us a part of ourselves we don't want to see. The band's latest opus of ugly is 'Demonocracy' and once again they come out of the gate firing on all pistons."

In celebration of the release, the band today posted the first of a series of in-studio video clips. Watch it now!

Listen Loud: JOB FOR A COWBOY's 'Demonocracy' Album Streaming Now!

Beginning today, Revolver Magazine will host a stream of JOB FOR A COWBOY’s upcoming Demonocracy full-length in its entirety. Produced by Jason Suecof (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium) at Audiohammer Studios, the intricate, thought-provoking and wholly pulverizing death metal opus will see its North American release on April 10, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.

Crowned “an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record,” in a 4/5 review by Alternative Press, the nine-track production tackles a host of political and economic themes including media propaganda, the “war industry” and the staggering debts faced by America.

Visit the band’s OFFICIAL METAL BLADE PAGE (see link bellow) for Demonocracy pre-order info, limited edition merch bundles and the third in a series of instructional video posts featuring guitar wizard Tony Sannicandro. Dubbed "The Leads Are Weak," the mini clips offer playing tips and an up-close look at Sannicandro's astounding skills and technique. In the third installment, Sannicandro performs an exercise called “double dutch.” Sannicandro elaborates: "This is a two-note per string lick that incorporates a slight Dimebag feel and some chromatics. Two notes per string is often neglected by many guitar players, because three notes a string is much easier to get up to speed, but two note patterns are an OG way to put some bluesy flavor in your lick-age."
