UPON A BURNING BODY Discuss Their Mayhem Fest Experience + NEW Album 'Red,White & Green'!
On Sunday, August 5th, the fifth edition of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival came to a conclusion in Hartford, Connecticut. As it is typical, the New England Metallers know how to have a good time and never let anything (especially bad weather) get in the way of their appointment with Heavy Music. It was really cool to see so many generations of music both on and off stage, gathered together in unity! This is ultimately what Mayhem Fest represents.
One of the bands that benefited from the multi-aged festival was UPON A BURNING BODY from San Antonio, Texas. Not only did the band bring the ruckus to both the Jägermeister and Sumerian Records stages, but they demonstrated that Metalheads can dress well and still hit the crowd with hard hitting songs. With the release of their NEW album 'Red, White & Green' (available now via Sumerian Records), UPON A BURNING BODY is ready to keep taking the Heavy Music world by storm!
Upon A Burning Body's set list for the last Mayhem Fest:
1) Showtime
2) Carlito's Way
3) Texas Blood Money
4) Sin City
5) Game Over
6) Once Upon A Time In Mexico
7) Intermission
Right before UPON A BURNING BODY performed their last set of this year's Mayhem Fest, we had the chance to chat with vocalist Danny Leal and bassist Ruben Lemos about the bands NEW studio album, their experience at the fest and what the future holds for this hard hitting band! Watch it here!

Winds Of Plague Announce Tourdates for "Thrash & Burn Tour 2011"!
This November, California's Winds Of Plague will be hitting the road once again for the "Thrash & Burn Tour 2011". Joining WOP will be Chelsea Grin, As Blood Runs Black, For The Fallen Dreams, Upon A Burning Body, In The Midst Of Lions, Like Moths To Flames, and Volumes. This is what Winds Of Plague's Johnny Plague (vocals) had to say about this upcoming trek.
"We are very excited that our first US headlining tour in support of our new record 'Against The World' will carry the Thrash & Burn brand. In my opinion, this year's lineup is one of the heaviest lineups I've seen in a while. Each band will deliver their unique brand of crushing Metal, and it will prove to be one hell of an evening for fans of Heavy Music. Our set will consist of an even balance of songs between our three records. We are pulling out all the stops for this tour - if you have seen us before, you've never seen us like how we will be on this tour."
