ASKING ALEXANDRIA Stoked To Premiere "The Death Of Me" After A Crazy Drunk Driver Crashed Into Their Bus - Details Available!

ASKING ALEXANDRIA have announced that they will be releasing their third studio album this Summer via Sumerian Records. The bands NEW record is called 'From Death To Destiny' and was produced by Joey Sturgis (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, EMMURE) and it was recorded at the Foundation Recording Studios in Indiana and NRG in Hollywood.

Today (April 1), we are premiering a NEW song by AA called "The Death Of Me". The band are stoked to be able to premiere, especially after Friday's insanity. What happened? Well, a drunk driver crashed into their bus while the band was in Las Vegas. Here is what Danny Worsnop had to say about the incident:

"We are all okay besides a couple of back aches. The trailer is fucked, the bus has heavy damage and the other car he hit is destroyed".

ROCK ON THE RANGE 2013: Lineup & Details Unleashed!

The 2013 Rock On The Range festival concert will take place on May 17, 18 and 19, in Columbus, Ohio. The event will take place at the Columbus Crew stadium (as usual). Tickets will be available on February 1st at 10 AM. Some of the bands fans will get to witness live, include grunge legends Soundgarden and Alice In Chains, who haven't shared a stage in many years!

ASKING ALEXANDRIA's NEW Album Mixes Sounds Of Old School SLIPKNOT & MÖTLEY CRÜE!

ASKING ALEXANDRIA have announced that they have completed the production of their third studio album. The bands NEW batch of music was produced by Joey Sturgis (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, EMMURE) and it was recorded at the Foundation Recording Studios in Indiana and NRG in Hollywood. The bands as-yet-untitled album will see the light of day sometime within the next few months via Sumerian Records.

Here is what guitarist Ben Bruce told GuitarWorld.com about the direction of the bands NEW studio album: "There's a lot of heavy riffage on this record, whereas in the past we relied more on rhythms and breakdowns," he said. "So in that respect it's very much like old SLIPKNOT. But then the choruses and a lot of the bridges are more Rock-based, which is our MÖTLEY CRÜE side."

Bruce was quick to add, however: "The album is by no means a regurgitation of the Eighties. If kids buy this record thinking it's going to sound like [MÖTLEY CRÜE's 1987 effort] 'Girls, Girls, Girls', it doesn't fucking sound like 'Girls, Girls, Girls'. It sounds like ASKING ALEXANDRIA.

"It's a lot more mature than anything we've done before. It's not so much about partying and fucking random girls and doing drugs and stuff. We've actually taken the time to write something that's truly meaningful to us. The last two records were great, and we loved them, but we were different people then. We were a lot younger and had less experience. When you compare the albums, it will definitely show how much we've grown."

While the scenario wasn't very Rock N' Roll, we were in a conference room, the HELLYEAH boys were very open to discuss anything we threw at them. 11) Danny Worsnop (ASKING ALEXANDRIA): Right before ASKING ALEXANDRIA opened the main stage one last time at this year's Mayhem Fest, we had the chance to chat with vocalist Danny Worsnop about the bands experience at the fest. We also discussed how he has managed to overcome his addiction to drugs and the bands future plans.



10) Matt Heafy (TRIVIUM): Prior to Matt Heafy's first ever acoustic performance, we had the chance to chat with Heafy about what fans can expect on the next TRIVIUM album and the bands recent festival performances in Europe and Canada. We also discussed his involvement with Moscot Music and TRIVIUM's musical philosophy.



9) Frank Mullen (SUFFOCATION): Prior to SUFFOCATION's crushing "Long Island Hall Of Fame" celebratory performance, we chatted with Frank Mullen (the bands front man and vocalist), and he shocked us with the news that he will not be touring full time with the band upon the release of their NEW album 'The Pinnacle of Bedlam' (set to be released in February/March of 2013 via Nuclear Blast Records) due to his current commitment with his full time job.



8) Jesse Leach (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE & THE EMPIRE SHALL FALL): If one had to point fingers at who is responsible for KSE's and TESF's musical direction, all fingers would be pointed at vocalist/lyricist Jesse Leach. Regardless of which band he is with, Leach always brings with him a bag full of tricks that are ever-changing. His energy on stage is addicting, and his vocal projection is always on point.



7) Karl Sanders (NILE): During NILE's recent tour stop in New York City with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, SKELETONWITCH and HOUR OF PENNANCE, we had the chance to sit down and chat with NILE's own Karl Sanders. During the conversation we discussed the bands legacy, their NEW album 'At The Gate Of Sethu', and why he chooses to play DEAN Guitars!



 6) The Cavalera's: This year we had the chance to chat with Max Cavalera and his sons about the "Maximum Cavalera Tour", and how life on the road as a family has made them a stronger family. At that time we immediately asked the public to respect Caputo's decision, since we truly believe that he sent a very strong message to a genre of music that carries way too many stereotypes. As previously reported SUICIDE SILENCE has announced that they will be part of the "Monster Energy Drink OUTBREAK tour" along with ASKING ALEXANDRIA, AS I LAY DYING, MEMPHIS MAY FIRE and ATTILA.

Today, Monster Energy and Idol Roc Entertainment have revealed the itinerary for yet another rocking music festival. The North American routing kicks off in Edmonton, Alberta on November 16 and wraps on December 16 in Tampa, Florida.

AThe lineup secured prompted tour producer Steve Glazer (Idol Roc Entertainment) to share, "Without question, this is the strongest lineup we've assembled for Outbreak to date. Each year we promise to grow our brand and it all starts with delivering the fans an undeniable lineup of artists on the rise paired with an affordable ticket price."

ASKING ALEXANDRIA guitarist Ben Bruce stated, "America, we are back, we are excited, we are ready and we are fucking headlining! This is our biggest headlining tour ever and we are bringing with us, the biggest, heaviest and best bands that rock has to offer.

SUICIDE SILENCE To Their Fans: "If you're a true fan and happen to not like one of our tour packages, then just come out the next time we're in town"

SUICIDE SILENCE has announced that they will be part of the "Monster Energy Drink OUTBREAK tour" along with ASKING ALEXANDRIA, AS I LAY DYING, MEMPHIS MAY FIRE and ATTILA. Right after the band made the announcement, their fans started bashing the bands decision to be part of this "main stream" tour. Here is what the band members had to say about this:

"Since we've already received some "hating" in relation to the rumors of this tour, let's just clarify something right quick. There are a million different factors that go into why bands choose to participate in certain tours. Quite frankly, there's no band we're afraid to tour with and we look forward to partying with each of these bands as well as all of our fans in every town we hit this Fall. If you're a true fan and happen to not like one of our tour packages, then just come out the next time we're in town. There's no sense in wasting your time on the internet complaining about our tour choices...

"Now without further do, BRING ON THE OUTBREAK!!"

As previously reported, SUICIDE SILENCE vocalist/screamer Mitch Lucker shattered his elbow so bad that his "not so funny bone" penetrated his skin. Mitch is known for his commitment to Heavy Music, and proved by performing the bands full set in Odessa, Texas with a shattered elbow.

Following this incident, Lucker was hospitalized this weekend after reportedly developing an infection related to his recently broken elbow. The singer is expected to fully recover.

SUICIDE SILENCE is currently seeking a new label home while continuing to write material for its next album, tentatively due in early 2013.

Last Sunday (August 5th), the fifth edition of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival came to a conclusion in Hartford, Connecticut. As it is typical, the New England Metallers know how to have a good time and never let anything (especially bad weather) get in the way of their appointment with Heavy Music. It was really cool to see so many generations of music both on and off stage, gathered together in unity! This is ultimately what Mayhem Fest represents.

Ever since their inception in 2008, British Metalcorers ASKING ALEXANDRIA have been taking names day after day, town after town. While their debut album 'Stand Up and Scream' made their presence be felt within the Heavy Music world, it was their 2011 release 'Reckless & Relentless' that took the bad boys of Rock into the next level of success.

After touring with bands like GUNS N' ROSES and SKID ROW, ASKING ALEXANDRIA have proven to be ready to perform at bigger better shows. No Storm Can Stop The MAYHEM When SLIPKNOT, SLAYER & MOTÖRHEAD Have Something Loud To Say About It!

This past Sunday (August 5th), the fifth edition of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival came to a conclusion in Hartford, Connecticut. As it is typical, the New England Metallers know how to have a good time and never let anything (specially bad weather) get in the way of their appointment with Heavy Music. It was really cool to see so many generations of music both on and off stage, gathered together in unity! This is ultimately what Mayhem Fest represents.

When we arrived to the venue around 12:30 PM, a rabid pack of fans was waiting patiently to enter the mayhem and as soon as the gates of the Comcast Theatre (one of the largest amphitheaters in the U.S.), the crowd roared inside and ignited the party!

As it is known already, Mayhem Fest is divided into a two part event: part 1 of the event takes place at the second stages (sponsored this year by: Jägermeister and Sumerian records), while part 2 of the event takes in the main concert pavilion (which holds 30,000 people).

During the first half of the day, the fans get very intimate sets with some of the veterans and rookies of Heavy Music! The action takes place in the second stages, which are constantly rotating artists so that there is always a band playing live (not even a minute of silence). Some of the highlights of the second stages were the performances of ANTHRAX (who used the rain as their fuel for worshiping music), AS I LAY DYING, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and WHITECHAPEL (who are to blame for starting one of the most intense thunderstorms of the entire festival).

Once ANTHRAX finished their set with their classic song "I Am The Law", which featured SLIPKNOT's singer Corey Taylor on the first chorus, it was time for the fans to grab yet another cold beer and take over the main concert pavilion. This is when we realized how many people were present at the last chapter of this year's Mayhem Fest!

While ASKING ALEXANDRIA has been growing fast and has become a very well known band around the world, they still need a lot more experience in order to handle such a massive audience. Nevertheless, they managed to warm up some ear buds for the legendary Rock N' Roll band MOTÖRHEAD!

Once LEMMY took center stage, the party was definitely on. After all, the infamous frontman is not only known for his rocking skills but he is also an avid fan of Jack Daniel's. Something that really surprised us was to see many attendees sitting down still as if they were watching a Justin Bieber concert. Perhaps is was the generational pulley that we mentioned above?

The MOTÖRHEAD boys rocked through many classic songs like "Ace Of Spades", "Overkill" and "Killed By Death", as well as through a few of their NEW songs from their latest album 'The World Is Yours'!

A few minutes passed 8 PM, the white curtain was brought down and the crowd started going insane. Why? Well, everyone knows that the white curtain is synonymous to SLAYER letting you know that this will be the only peaceful moment you will have for the next hour or so. As soon as they started their epic set, the fans that were stalled during MOTÖRHEAD's set finally came to life and started losing their minds! 

Blasting through songs from their massive catalog, the worlds mightiest band had no problem delivering the Metallic goods to thousands of maniacs, who literally lost their minds when songs like "Angel Of Death", "Raining Blood", "Seasons In The Abyss" and "South Of Heaven" were being blasted at full volume... Holy shit, SLAYER is loud!

There are many awesome Heavy Metal bands, but there is only one SLAYER!

Closing the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival was one of the most evil and theatrical bands today: SLIPKNOT! This is when the crowd went absolutely insane. As we all know, the bands live performances are dangerous and unpredictable. This wasn't an exception at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut.

From the moment the band stepped on stage until they said "good night" one last time at this year's fest, the adrenaline was rushing throughout the entire venue. Security were kept busy by the hundreds of crowd surfers (who lost shows, glasses, wallets, cell phones, and some even lost their minds) and did a phenomenal job at keeping the show rolling smoothly.

For the first time in the many times we have seen SLAYER, there was a band that outperformed them. That band was SLIPKNOT. Was it the fire they have been breathing in since the loss of their bassist Paul Gray? Was it because this was their comeback tour in U.S. soil? We believe it was SLIPKNOT proving that they have plenty of gasoline left for their pyro.

As previously reported, Randy Blythe was arrested in Wednesday, June 27th at the Prague airport on manslaughter charges. Blythe, 41, is being accused of causing the fatal injury that occurred at LAMB OF GOD's May 24, 2010 show in Prague. The singer apparently either pushed or struck a 19-year-old fan named Daniel who had come on stage, and that person died 14 days later of bleeding in the brain.

On July 25th the situation was not resolved in favor of Blythe. On this day, the Czech authorities who had thrown a dangerous curve ball at Blythe by doubling the money required for bail from $200K to $400 K (equivalent to the salary that Blythe earns in two years), denied his bail yet AGAIN!

ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL, the world’s largest touring Heavy Music festival experience, is pleased to announce the addition of MOTÖRHEAD to the 2012 line-up! This marks the first summer tour that MOTÖRHEAD has taken part in for several years. The legendary Metal veterans join the already stellar 2012 main stage line-up, featuring multi-platinum Iowa cult metal groundbreakers SLIPKNOT in the headlining position, as well as legendary thrash metal kings SLAYER—both returning to the ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL for a second turn at pummeling fans.

MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister commented, "Well, we're used to mayhem in this band, so it's kind of a family tradition! Bring it!"

MOTÖRHEAD just finished up their run with ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL alum Megadeth on the 2012 Gigantour. On January 24th, MOTÖRHEAD Music/UDR released ‘The Wörld Is Ours-Vol 1 - Everywhere Further Than Everyplace Else’, an official DVD containing some of the finest moments from the band’s recent The Wörld is Yours tour, which also includes a special bonus double live CD of the Chile stop. Lemmy Kilmister, The founder of the legendary band MOTÖRHEAD, confirmed during an interview with the "Metal Shop" show, which airs on the 99.9 KISW radio station in Seattle, Washington, that MOTÖRHEAD will be part of this years Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

Also performing at the world’s largest touring Heavy Music festival will be multi-platinum Iowa legends SLIPKNOT. Next up will be legendary Thrash Metal kings SLAYER and then the major special guest, which according to Lemmy is MOTÖRHEAD.
