Oderus From GWAR "reviews/bashes" NEW MEGADETH Song "Super Collider"

It is no surprise that Oderus Urungus from GWAR is not a fan of Dave Mustaine from MEGADETH. His Mustaine bashing began last year when Mustaine implied that U.S. president Barack Obama was somehow responsible for the mass shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin.

In anticipation of MEGADETH's NEW album 'Super Collider' (set to be released on June 4th via Universal Music Group), the band recently premiered the title track for their 14th studio album HERE. Oderus like many us heard the song, here is his "Tweet review":

"Boy. I just listened to the title track of 'Supercollider'. Boy, that's fucking horrible. The other song isn't that awful... until he opens his mouth... which is always the problem with Dave (Mustaine)."

Listen to "Super Collider" HERE & let us know what you think!

This morning, LED ZEPPELIN's Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were part of this morning's edition of "CBS This Morning" with Charlie Rose. During the TV segment, the band discussed their career and receiving the Kennedy Center Honors, which also airs on CBS on December 26. Here is video footage thanks to Blabbermouth!

LED ZEPPELIN recently received a prestigious award from Barack Obama for their significant contribution to American culture and the arts. More HERE!

Legions of fans worldwide were expecting a reunion tour following LED ZEPPELIN's triumphant reunion concert at London's O2 Arena in 2007. And apparently some of the members of the band also expected the reunion tour to happen. "Some of us thought we would be continuing, that there were going to be more concerts in the not-too-distant-future," Jimmy Page told Rolling Stone Senior Writer David Fricke in the NEW issue (on stands Friday). "Because there was a lot of work being put into the show."

"He was busy," says Page. "He was doing his Alison Krauss project. I wasn't fully aware it was going to be launched at the same time. So what do you do in a situation like that? I'd been working with the other two guys for the percentage of the rehearsals at the O2. We were connecting well. The weakness was that none of us sang."

Full article HERE!

Recently, the band released their NEW concert film "Celebration Day" at the historic Ziegfeld Theater in New York's theater district on October 9. Prior to the premiere, founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, for a press conference at New York's Museum of Modern Art. Footage available HERE!

LED ZEPPELIN Receive Award From President Barack Obama - Video Available!

British rock band Led Zeppelin have received a prestigious award from Barack Obama for their significant contribution to American culture and the arts.

Dressed in black suits and bow ties, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page were among a group of artists who received Kennedy Centre Honours at a dinner event at the White House.

Frontman Plant said he was flattered and overwhelmed by the award, adding that he was glad to see Jones and Page using "good table manners".

In his tribute to the band, Obama said: "When Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham burst onto the musical scene in the late 1960s, the world never saw it coming.

"There was this singer with a mane like a lion and a voice like a banshee, a guitar prodigy who left people's jaws on the floor, a versatile bassist who was equally at home on the keyboards, a drummer who played like his life depended on it.

"And when the Brits initially kept their distance, Led Zeppelin grabbed America from the opening chord. We were ready for what Jimmy called songs with "a lot of light and shade".

"It's been said that a generation of young people survived teenage angst with a pair of headphones and a Zeppelin album ... but even now, 32 years after John Bonham's passing - and we all I think appreciate the fact - the Zeppelin legacy lives on."

The president drew laughter from guests when he thanked the former band members for behaving themselves at the White House given their history of "hotel rooms being trashed and mayhem all around".

Barack Obama, Buddy Guy, Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman, Natalia Makarova, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant The band were among those honoured at a White House dinner.

He ended his speech saying: "We honour Led Zeppelin for making us all feel young, and for showing us that some guys who are not completely youthful can still Rock!"

Henry Rollins Comments on Obama's Defeat Over Romney: "I have never been so happy to see an American politician's career come to an end."

Henry Rollins has commented on President Barack Obama's defeat over Mitt Romney, to win the re-election that made Obama the 44th president of the United States:

"I have never been so happy to see an American politician's career come to an end. I didn't think anyone in that dismal world could offend me more than Bush and Cheney, but Romney and Ryan managed to do it. I never thought I would miss John McCain but Romney made me miss him every time I heard Romney speak."

Writing in his weekly column for the LA Weekly, Rollins added, "Republicans did the best they could to keep people from voting. From sending out mail with the wrong date to cast your ballot to actually attempting to intimidate people at the polls. It didn't work. The American people kicked your ass. That has to hurt a bit. To hurl all your bully bullshit with such force only to see people stand in line for hours to vote, undeterred. Your disrespect for the Constitution and law is incredible. Congratulations, you have no credibility and on top of that, you lost. After all that money you spent in an attempt to steal an election, you still got beat. The fact that you went through all this for the sake of Mitt Romney must make it all the more humiliating."

He continued, "Republicans, these are your people: gay-hating, vagina-fearing phonies with their strange idea of rape who double down on dumb at every given opportunity. Well, at least you've got Clint Eastwood, Meatloaf and some NASCAR-driving dipshits to keep you company. I know 1865 was hard to walk off but come on, y'all, stop embarrassing yourselves!

"Citizens United didn't work. Hey, Koch brothers, Karl Rove, Shellgame Adelson: DEMOCRACY TRUMPS MONEY SOMETIMES."

Here is our message to you: Never forget that the most powerful force in ANY nation is US THE PEOPLE! As Sick Of It All says it: "All roads lead the same direction, we all see eye to eye. Won't stand for a bad connection, we came to keep things tight. Prove this, prove that... proving is nothing! Let's all just be ourselves! Focused with the right aggression, turn to each other for help!"

How Yesterday's Election Results Benefit The Heavy Music World!

Yesterday (November 6th), the people of the United States voted Barack Obama as their 44th president. The people also voted for various legislation's that in way or another, benefit the Heavy Music world. Here is what we are talking about:

- Residents in two states (Colorado and Washington) voted to legalize recreational marijuana. Other states have legalized medical marijuana (including Massachusetts on Tuesday).

How does this benefit the Heavy Music world? Well, while we don't condone the use of marijuana, we believe that it is a much healthier vice than cigarettes, alcohol, and other controlled substances such as cocaine and heroine. Additionally, the medicinal aspects of marijuana help thousands of patients worldwide to cope with many diseases.

- Maine and Maryland became the first states in which voters approved gay marriage. It had failed previously in 32 states, including Maine as recently as 2009. In addition, Wisconsin elected the first openly gay U.S. senator in history, with Rep. Tammy Baldwin’s (D) victory over former governor Tommy Thompson (R).

How does this benefit the Heavy Music world? Our music is all about the unity of the masses regardless of sexual orientation, race, nationality and religion background.

We at Horns Up Rocks don't really care about politics, but we do care about US the people!

GWAR's Oderus Urungus: "I Don't Need To Berate DAVE MUSTAINE To Make Him Look Like An Asshole"

On August 7, MEGADETH performed at Fort Canning in Singapore, and Dave Mustaine took the opportunity to preach to the crowd after someone threw a shoe onstage. The four-minute speech, began innocently enough, with the frontman calling out the person that threw the shoe ("that's what happens when cousins fuck") and playfully making fun of a fan who kept interrupting him during his speech. He then launched into a brief rant against Obama, saying, "Back in my country, my president [makes puking sign with his finger in his mouth], he's trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders, like the 'Fast And Furious' thing down at the border; [the massacre in] Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there; and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple [near Milwaukee, Wisconsin].

"I was talking to J.D., our promoter here tonight… What a great guy. I was saying, 'I don't know where I'm gonna live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America.' And he said, 'Move down here to Singapore.'"

After reading the above comments, GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus slammed MEGADETH's Dave Mustaine (once again) for implying President Obama was somehow responsible for recent mass shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin. Here is what Oderus posted on his Twitter account:

"I don't need to berate Dave Mustaine to make him look like an asshole. He does fine just by opening his mouth. To say something as ignorant and insensitive as Obama 'staged' the recent U.S. mass shootings you would have to be… ME! I just can't think of anything more ignorant or insensitive right of the top of my head…"

Here is a video of Mustaine preaching during a MEGADETH concert in Singapore:

MEGADETH's Dave Mustaine Blames President Obama For 'Staging' Aurora, Sikh Temple Massacres!

Recently, MEGADETH's controversial frontman Dave Mustaine told conspiracy theorist Alex Jones that he thinks that Barack Obama "was born somewhere else than America." Read more about this HERE!

On August 7, MEGADETH performed at Fort Canning in Singapore, and he took the opportunity to preach to the crowd after someone threw a shoe onstage. MEGADETH's Dave Mustaine Is Fed up With President Barack Obama!

Recently, MEGADETH's controversial frontman Dave Mustaine spoke with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones about the political world of U.S. president Barack Obama. Here are some of the quotes that Mustaine told Jones during the interview (courtesy Noisecreep.com):

“See, the thing that I laugh about when I hear Obama say, ‘Give the folks a chance.’ Give everybody a chance. Take away from the rich people.’ Well, what happens when the folks that he’s giving a chance gets a chance, becomes successful, is rich. Well, then all of a sudden, you’re Obama’s enemy now.

“I’m disgusted with this guy. He’s my president, I respect the office of the presidency, but I think as a person and the things that he says, I’ve never heard anything this offensive ever come out of the mouth of a president. And I’m 50 — I’ve heard a lot of presidents talk in my life.

“Why hasn’t somebody moved to impeach this man? With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake. And you see the signs in Kenya that say ‘the birthplace of Barack Obama.’ Hello?! C’mon, guys. How stupid are we right now? I guess the best revenge is when you look back in history at what Michelle [Obama] wore at his inauguration and she had a black dress on with two red triangles, so she looked like a black widow turned upside down. So there’s gotta be some symbology there. You just don’t wear something like that to some event like that without there being some kind of future message being told.”

DISTURBED's David Draiman Bashes "Irresponsible" Parents Who Take Kids To Late-Night Movie Showings!

On Friday morning, Denver Police confirmed that a masked gunman (James Holmes) killed 12 people at a midnight showing of the NEW Batman movie: "Dark Knight Rises". This very sad event took place at a mall in Aurora, Colorado (a suburb of Denver). The gunman turned joy into tragedy when he hurled a gas canister into the auditorium and opened fire on moviegoers.

According to hospital officials, about fifty others (including children) were wounded in the attack on the showing of  the movie, some of whom were treated for the effects of tear gas, hospital officials said.

This is obviously extremely tragic news but one of the issues that surfaced after this sad news made International headlines, is the irresponsibility of parents who bring small children to a midnight viewing. One of the victims was Veronica Moser-Sullivan, a 6-year old girl.

David Draiman, vocalist and frontman of DISTURBED, never bites his tongue when it comes to controversial issues. Here is what Draiman expressed via Twitter, following a CNN report which posed the question if infants were too young to be at late-night movie showings. Draiman first wrote "Yes, they are. All you parents out there that think it's OK to take your infants out on the town with you, to a movie theater or otherwise, do the world a favor. Give your children up for adoption to parents who know what it is to be a responsible parent, and sacrifice on behalf of their children. Get a damn babysitter.”

He added, "Maybe we should take infants to nightclubs and restaurants in the late hours of the night as well? Honestly, fuck off. This is why only certain people should be allowed the gift of a child. Too many simply aren't ready for the responsibility.”

What do you think about this issue? Do you agree with Draiman? Let us know at the comments section below!

12 Killed At The BATMAN "Dark Knight Rises" Premiere In Aurora, Colorado - Statement From President Obama Available!!

Earlier this morning, Denver Police confirmed that a masked gunman killed 12 people at a midnight showing of the NEW Batman movie: "Dark Knight Rises".

"This is a horrific event," Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates told a news conference, adding that a suspect was taken into custody in the parking lot behind the theater. He had initially put the death toll at 14, but a spokesman later told NBC the toll had been revised to 12.

Reuters has gathered the following information:

- Police said the Aurora gunman had appeared at the front of the theater during the movie and released a canister which let out a hissing sound before gunfire erupted.

- Dozens of police were at the scene, and the authorities evacuated the area while they checked for any explosive devices. They said there was no evidence of a second gunman.

- Wendy Post, who was waiting to be reunited with her daughter at a local high school following the shooting, said her daughter told her the shooting erupted just minutes after the film began.

"She saw the exit door open and something was thrown across the screen, and then shooting started," she told local NBC affiliate 9News television. "It was chaos."

- President Barack Obama, who was notified of the shooting on Friday morning by his homeland security adviser, John Brennan, urged Americans to "stand together" with the people of Aurora in the hours and days to come.

"Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado. Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time," Obama said in a statement.

"As we do when confronted by moments of darkness and challenge, we must now come together as one American family," he added.

- Colorado has suffered mass killings in the past. In 1999, two students opened fire at Columbine High School in the suburb of Littleton, near Denver, killing 12 students and a teacher.

Here is an image of the suspect:
