Slayer's Tom Araya at the Big Four Concert at Yankee Stadium!

Chilean badass Tom Araya is one of the happiest dudes in Heavy Music. While being the front-man of Slayer doesn't suck, being in such a successful band takes hard work, perseverance, and definitely a lot of balls! After 30+ years of being on the front lines of Heavy Music, and when some may think that Slayer might call it a day within the near future, Araya knows that as long as he has a strong connection with his family, friends, and fans, the Bay Area Metallers will keep on scaring people for years to come.

Slayer's Tom Araya & Kerry King Discuss the Big Four Concert at Yankee Stadium & the Absence of Jeff Hanneman!

This past Wednesday, Slayer were part of the Big Four Concert at Yankee stadium. During their historic performance the band made sure that the Slaytanic fans lost their minds, which was accomplished thanks to bands tight delivery. The only absentee within the Slayer camp was guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who has been sitting out from the band since January when he contracted necrotizing fasciitis, likely caused by a spider bite, and has been undergoing surgeries, skin grafts and intense rehab since. Heavy Music icons Tom Araya and Kerry King were interviewed at Yankee stadium right before they took center stage, this is what they had to say about being part of this historical event and about the absence of Hanneman at this epic show.

His extensive career has been like a massive roller-coaster in which only the strong survive, and has placed him as one of the most influential icons within all of music. Slayer's Kerry King at the Big Four Concert at Yankee Stadium!

Kerry Fucking King is the most dangerous guitar player in Heavy Music history. His guitar tone can be defined as the sound of Satan, and it is what gives Slayer their infamous signature sound. Seeing him perform live with Slayer is always a life changing event; his focus, determination, and powerful guitar playing, is what sets him apart from other shredders in the business of playing fast hard hitting riffs and highly technical solos.
