World-renowned ADRENALINE MOB drummer Mike Portnoy comments on the bands decision to cover HEART's classic song "Barracuda" on his bands NEW cover album 'Coverta' (available now):
“I picked this track. I always thought this was a killer song and would make for a great modern-Metal update. I produced a demo for my wife's old Thrash band Meanstreak back in the early 90's and they covered this but it was never released, so I thought it would be great one for us to Mob-up! There's very few male singers that could tackle Ann Wilson's incredible vocal range, but I had a hunch Russell would kill it and sure enough, he did!”

In support of their album 'Omerta' and debut single, "Come Undone", ADRENALINE MOB will be commencing a U.S. tour on March 12th the legendary Toads Place in New Haven, Connecticut. Additionally on that day, the band will be releasing 'Coverta', an eight-track EP featuring cover versions of some of the band’s favorite songs. Long time fans of Mike Portnoy are aware of the multiple cover CDs he has released with Dream Theater and with Neal Morse. 'Coverta' is the first CD of covers recorded by ADRENALINE MOB.

Last Wednesday April 11th, America’s only Hard Rock and Heavy Metal award show took over downtown Los Angeles! The fourth annual REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW presented by Epiphone® rocked out at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles. For the first time ever, the event was broadcast live in its entirety on Xbox LIVE, as well as on the Xbox and Revolver Facebook pages.
Prior to the kick off of the awards show, we had the chance to chat with ADRENALINE MOB's Mike Portnoy and John Moyer about what the Golden Gods mean to the Heavy Music world and what is setting apart ADRENALINE MOB's NEW album 'Omertá' (available now via Elm City Records). Here is our interview with members of ADRENALINE MOB at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards.
Adrenaline Mob will be touring with Kill Devil hill in support of their Elm City Records
debut 'Omertá'. The record debuted Top 5 on the Billboard Rock Album
chart when it was released on March 13. The band reached #5 on the chart
and also was #62 on the Billboard Top 200 selling over 6600 copies its
first week. The album has been getting amazing reviews with Revolver
declaring "If you dig hard-hitting modern Metal, then Adrenaline Mob's
11-track debut offers some monstrous moments." Adrenaline Mob formed in
2011 when Sonic Stomp founder Orlando, who had been working on a
collection of songs, approached Symphony X vocalist Allen with a concept
and idea for the band. Together they joined forces and refined those
ideas. Allen then reached out to long-time friend and ex Dream
Theater/Avenged Sevenfold drummer Portnoy to see if he had any interest
in playing with them. Portnoy jumped on-board and from the very first
note, the chemistry and sound was apparent. In late 2011, Portnoy
recruited Disturbed's Moyer to fill the vacant bass slot and the beast
that is known as Adrenaline Mob was born.
