MEGADETH release High Def version of "Kingmaker"

MEGADETH's NEW studio album entitled 'Super Collider' will be released next Tuesday, June 4th via Universal Music Group with Mustaine's NEW label, Tradecraft. The recording sessions took place at Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California. 'Super Collider' is the follow up to 2011's 'THIRT3EN' (available now via Roadrunner Records). The bands 14th studio album is being produced by Johnny K and the band.

These historic concerts will begin with a first-ever visit (for MAIDEN) to Raleigh, NC, for the opening show on September 3rd at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion followed by taking Metal back to country music capital Nashville, TN where Maiden haven’t played in over twenty years, at the Bridgestone Arena on September 5th. There will also be shows in Kansas City, MO, Sprint Center on September 7th, St Louis, MO, Verizon Wireless on September 8th and the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV on September 12th, all of which Maiden last visited way back in 2000 on the Brave New World Tour. Plus a return to Austin, TX for a show at the 360 Amphitheater on September 10th.

Dave Mustaine Claims That Roadrunner Records Mistreated MEGADETH

MEGADETH's 'Super Collider' will be released on June 4th via Universal Music Group (not Roadrunner Records) with Mustaine's NEW label, Tradecraft. During a recent interview with Vlad Busca in Romania, Mustaine talked about some of the issues he had with his former label home.

"I remember I was in Germany one time and this woman, who was from our label, was calling another band that was coming in 'product.' Not people, not the name of the band or anything like that. And I thought, 'Wow, that's really kind of impersonal.' 'Cause, I mean, this is our art, this is what we believe in; we struggle to translate our feelings and emotions into music and stuff. And sometimes you kind of get lost in the business part of it, because you have so much pressure from someone who works for a label. It's like: sell, sell, sell, sell. Instead of how it used to be 30 years ago when music business was all one word. Now it's, like, music, which is us, and business, which is a lot of the people who are board members and stockholders and publicly traded record companies."

He added: "That's what I one of the things I love about Universal is, they spent more money on our first photo shoot than almost all the videos that Roadrunner did. One photo shoot! Our last video we did for Roadrunner was one sixth of the money that they spent on our photo shoot. It just shows you how out of place we were there. At the time, though, you figure going back several years, heavy metal was not popular in America. It was about, you've gotta be Tayor Swift or you've gotta… First off, we were never really in this to be the most popular band in the world. We play this music, 'cause we love this music."

MEGADETH Film Video For "Super Collider" With Hunter Elizabeth - Details Available!

This passed Friday, May 10, MEGADETH filmed a video for the title track and first single from the band's NEW album 'Super Collider', in the Los Angeles area. California-based model, actress, singer and songwriter Hunter Elizabeth (pictured above) was cast in the lead role in the clip, which she says is "about a high-school couple still loving each other after all the years after graduation, and at the 10-year reunion, both characters find themselves successful (a model and a mathematician) and still very in love."

The band has confirmed that David Draiman (DISTURBED & DEVICE) will be guesting their NEW song "Dance In The Rain". The song is one of the two (the other being “Forget To Remember“) Draiman helped write for the NEW MEGADETH album 'Super Collider' (June 4th via Universal Music Group with Mustaine's NEW label, Tradecraft).

MEGADETH's own Dave Mustaine has confirmed that David Draiman from DISTURBED and DEVICE was involved in his bands latest effort. This is what Mustaine had to say about this:
 

"Tis' true! David Draiman delivered on "Forget To Remember" and "Dance In The Rain:" The songs are way better too!"

To this Draiman added:

Willie Nelson To Appear On The NEW MEGADETH Album 'Super Collider'?

Yesterday (March 28), MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine ran into country legend Willie Nelson at a restaurant in Austin, Texas, where Mustaine has been "house hunting."

Mustaine tweeted:

Willie Nelson is in the restaurant I am eating at. I just met him! How cool is this??? @willienelson
— Dave Mustaine (@DaveMustaine) March 29, 2013

Following this Tweet, Mustaine posted a photo of him talking to Willie about a possible guest appearance on the song "The Blackest Crow", which will be featured on 'Super Collider' (see above).

MEGADETH have finalized the recording sessions for their NEW studio album entitled 'Super Collider.' The recording sessions took place at Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California. 'Super Collider' is the follow up to 2011's 'THIRT3EN' (available now via Roadrunner Records). The bands 14th studio album is being produced by Johnny K. Here is a collective statemement from the band regarding the completion of 'Super Collider':

"Megadeth has officially finished the recording process of the NEW album, 'Super Collider', scheduled to be released in June, 2013. Dave Mustaine sang the very last note on the album earlier today at Vic's Garage studio. The next step in the process is to finish mixing the album.

"Dave has posted the following message on Twitter: "More 13 weirdness…we finished the record on 31313. 13 of 14 songs used; song 13 left off. It was 13 years since we tracked Silent Scorn." [Horn player Bob Findley played on the track "Silent Scorn" from 2001's "The World Needs A Hero" and is a featured guest on the song "A House Divided" on the new album]."
