Death Metallers JOB FOR A COWBOY recently returned from the uber successful Metal Alliance Tour. The band performed alongside The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood, Impending Doom, Wretched, and headliners, Devildriver. Commented bassist Nick Schendzielos of the trek: "So we just finished up with the Metal Alliance tour. We had an absolutely killer time gettin' all loco with all our friends. We're also super brammed everyone's diggin’ the new tunes, which you'll be hearing more of in Japan, Puerto Rico, and of course Summer Slaughter! The band will bring their ruckus to Japan next month and wreak some havoc in June in San Juan, Puerto Rico before kicking off the Summer Slaughter Festival 2012! JOB FOR A COWBOY will be touring in support of their brand NEW studio recording, 'Demonocracy', released in North America on April 10 through Metal Blade Records. The intricate, Jason Suecof-produced offering tackles various political and economic themes and continues to impressed fans and critics alike. About.com notes:  “Demonocracy affords JOB FOR A COWBOY another album to legitimize their Death Metal sound, which was set forth starting with 'Ruination'… Bringing in guitarist Tony Sannicandro and Cephalic Carnage bassist Nick Schendzielos translates to dynamics not heard on any JOB FOR A COWBOY album to date,” Ultimate-Guitar boasts: “The album plays like a constant assault, and while never backing off it still manages to add enough structure for individual songs to become memorable,” adding that, “the soloing is surprisingly catchy and well-executed while still managing to sit well in the context of the songs,” while Alternative Press calls Demonocracy "an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record." Black Skies Tour Wrap Up + Live Footage Posted!

Heavy Rock trio Black Skies recently returned from a 16-date North American tour. Commented the band in a collective statement:

"Thanks a ton to MAKE & Vaz for joining us on parts of this last run. Getting to play with bands you enjoy not only musically, but also as people really makes the whole experience that much better. Thanks also to all the venues, promoters, and other bands for helping make this such an enjoyable time. Thanks to Mother Nature for being cooperative and allowing us and our friends to travel safely. Most importantly, thanks to all of those who came to the shows and supported us by buying merch, giving us places to stay, etc. You are the reason we can do this.

"This was the last tour we'll be doing for a while, as we plan to take a break from touring over the next several months to focus on writing and other obligations not related to the band. With that in mind, having a good trip before this break was something very important to us, so thanks again to everyone who made it possible. We'll see you soon with new songs. Until then, take care and be good to each other!"

Black Skies have been tuning down and turning up since late 2005, constantly evolving their aural offerings of psychedelic sludge. With a combination of the foreboding heaviness of blues based proto-Metal, the spry attitude and approach of punk, and the dynamics of progressive rock, their songs often project a dark and urgent energy. The band's recently released On "The Wings Of Time" full-length is currently available on digital download cards included with the purchase of a limited edition, silk-screened poster.
