The Heavy Music world was struck by the very sad news that Mitchell Adam Lucker passed away at the young age of 28 (More information HERE). According to the Los Angeles Times, Lucker struck a light pole near the intersection of Main and 13th streets and was thrown from his 2013 Harley Davidson. The motorcycle continued sliding south on Main Street and struck a northbound 2007 Nissan Titan pickup.

Speaking to the audience, SUICIDE SILENCE guitarist Mark Heylmun said (see video HERE), "We fucking lost our brother; I'm sure you all know that. We all miss him more than anything in the fucking world."

The remaining members of the band have set up a memorial fund for Mitch Lucker’s family following the singer’s tragic death last week. Here is their statement regarding this matter:

Fans who wish to donate can do so via the link below, with donations of $20 of more receiving a commemorative t-shirt as a token of thanks. All proceeds will go towards the educational fund of Mitch’s five-year-old daughter, Kenadee.

HATEBREED To Bring Back The "Stillborn Fest" This Year - Details Available!

As previously reported, HATEBREED just finished tracking their upcoming full-length album and is already being mixed. The album is produced by the band with co-producer assistance from world-renowned Metal producers Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira, Avenged Sevenfold) and Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Suicide Silence, All That Remains, Shadows Fall).

Old School Footage Of HATEBREED Performing 'Under The Knife' & 'Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire' In Their Entirety!

HATEBREED has been heavily involved in the Heavy Music scene since 1994 and have broken many sound barriers. Love them or hate them, you have to respect their hard work and perseverance.

You heard it here first in mid April, but now the details have been revealed for HATEBREED's upcoming “10 Years of Perseverance” fall tour, a United States headline tour to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the band’s ground-breaking 2002 major-label debut, 'Perseverance'. The tour features direct support from Whitechapel and special guests All Shall Perish and Deez Nuts, and kicks off on September 13th in Clifton Park, NY.

'Perseverance' is recognized worldwide as a landmark album in HATEBREED’s musical catalog—an album that skyrocketed the band to immediate leader-of-the-pack status after its release. Released on March 26, 2002, the band’s second full-length studio album blasted open the doors of American DIY Hardcore in mainstream culture with songs such as "I Will Be Heard", "A Call For Blood" and the album's title track, "Perseverance".  Since the release of 'Perseverance', the fusion of Hardcore and Metal has been emulated and evolved relentlessly, but never duplicated with the same originality and brutality that HATEBREED accomplished with their first major-label release.

Perseverance debuted within the top 50 of the Billboard Top 200 chart and has since gone on to sell roughly half a million copies worldwide.

The band just reported that they have finished the drum tracks. When asked about the recording process, drummer Matt Byrne said, “I got the biggest and best drum tone ever for this NEW album and Zeuss really helped me dial in the sound. Having 25+ days of pre-production really helped make this an efficient and fun recording session.”
