DEVICE is the NEW industrial-themed project from Disturbed vocalist David Draiman and ex-Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo. The bands self-titled debut album will feature cameos from members of Black Sabbath, System Of A Down, Rage Against The Machine, Avenged Sevenfold and Halestorm.
Speaking of Halestorm, DEVICE has debuted their cover of the classic Ozzy-and-Lita Ford duet "Close My Eyes Forever", which sees Draiman tackling Ozzy’s vocals and Halestorm's Lzzy Hale taking on Lita Ford's parts. Check it out now!
Yesterday (February 10), HALESTORM broke all musical boundaries and proved that they are force to be reckoned within the music world. They also made it very clear that the Heavy Music world is ready for the next generation of music. In a huge way, HALESTORM winning the Grammy for"Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" for their song"Love Bites (So Do I)" is an indication that there is a NEW generation of music fans and that perhaps old school artists such as IRON MAIDEN, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX, have to step their game up so they don't become irrelevant in the ever-changingmusic roller coaster. But it wasn't all champagne toasts and high fives for the HALESTORM camp last night. Allegedly, while the band celebrated their first GRAMMY ever, the girlfriend of the bands drummer Arejay Hale was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital via ambulance. The following video captures the moment in which paramedics arrive, as well as when the band makes their way to the hospital.
The pre-ceremony for the 55th Grammy Awards are currently taking place. The full ceremony is scheduled to kick off at 8 PM ET from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, and will air
live on CBS. While this award show does not represent Heavy
Music the way the Golden Gods Awards do, it is still the most important
award show in the world when it comes to music.
The winner of the only category that we headbangers care about,"Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance", is HALESTORM for their song "Love Bites (So Do I). The band confirmed this piece of news via this Tweet:
To be eligible for nomination, an artist's work must have been released between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012.

On September 4, the seventh annual "Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock and Metal" Revolver Magazine issue hits newsstands. According to The Pulse Of Radio, HALESTORM singer Lzzy Hale has been named the "Hottest Chick In Hard Rock"! Hale tops a list of 25 women that includes current tourmate and EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee at No. 2 and "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen at No. 3.
Hale says she's pleased to top the survey and gave us her perspective on it. "My view of it really is to make sure that you're good at what you do, and so that when people actually want to look beyond the centerfold [laughs, that you're actually good and you have something to back it up," she says. "I think that most of us are really trying to push the envelope and, you know, make sure that we're musicians first and that the sex is just kind of the icing on the cake."

Last week, America’s only Hard Rock and Heavy Metal award show took over downtown Los Angeles! The fourth annual REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW presented by Epiphone® rocked out at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles. For the first time ever, the event was broadcast live in its entirety on Xbox LIVE, as well as on the Xbox and Revolver Facebook pages.
Prior to the beginning of the awards show, we had the chance to chat with the members of HALESTORM about how it felt to be standing next to so many Heavy Music legends and to be part of the biggest Hard Rock and Heavy Metal awards show in all of the America's.
