Swedish Metal Machines MESHUGGAH Reign Supreme In New York City - Picture Gallery Available!

On Tuesday, March 27, MESHUGGAH’s unleashed their NEW album 'KOLOSS' via Nuclear Blast Records. The North American deluxe digi-pak version includes a bonus DVD. In celebration of their latest sonic assault, the kings of Swedish Metal recruited DECAPITATED and BARONESS for "The Orphidian Trek". On Wednesday, May 23, MESHUGGAH ended the first leg of their North American tour on a very high note at Terminal 5 in New York City.

For almost two hours, MESHUGGAH stood strong in front of thousands of headbangers who were there to experience a vulgar display of Swedish Metal! While the fans of any band out there always want to see the old classic songs, the band made it clear that they are supporting their NEW musical selections and not their archive of destructive anthems.

To say that MESHUGGAH is an extremely tight and professional band is an understatement. The Swedish Metal masters are back and wont be stopping anytime soon! If anything the extended breaks they take from the road time and time again, helps them to keep the fun of playing together as a band intact!

Set list:

Obsidian (intro)
1) Demiurge
2) Pravus
3) Combustion
4) Glints Collide
5) Lethargica
6) Do Not Look Down
7) The Hurt That Finds You First
8) In Death - Is Life
9) In Death - Is Death
10) Bleed
11) New Millenium Cyanide Christ
12) I Am Colossus
13) Rational Gaze

Encore:
14) Future Breed Machine
15) Dancers To A Discordant System

Here are some badass images that our friends over at NextMosh.com captured during MESHUGGAH's set:

Leonardi is also helming the first feature film produced by Slash, called "Nothing To Fear", which was recently picked up for distribution by Anchor Bay Entertainment.

"Nothing To Fear" is the first of a proposed series of horror films produced by SLASH's company, called Slasher Films, which he launched last year in partnership with two other producers. The film began shooting in March in Louisiana, with Anne Heche and others confirmed for the cast.

AUTOPSY To Return To New York City After Two Decades Of Silence!

Headbangers! We have great news for you! Death Metal icons AUTOPSY are returning to New York City after two decades of not taking over the city that never stops rocking. The Bay Area Metallers will be performing at the Bell House in Brooklyn on Friday, May 4th! Who is AUTOPSY?
AUTOPSY is one of the early breed of US Death Metal acts, and most respected names in the genre, AUTOPSY formed in 1987 in San Francisco, and released four albums on Peaceville Records - beginning with the classic debut 'Severed Survival' in 1989 - before disbanding in 1995 with members going on to form Abscess.
AUTOPSY triumphantly and officially returned from the grave after a 15-year hiatus with the 2010 EP, ‘The Tomb Within,’ delighting critics and fans alike. The band then released its fifth full length, and first since 1995, 'Macabre Eternal', in 2011 (one of SPIN's top metal albums of 2011). Autopsy's latest release, an epic 22-track collection of re-mastered classics and rarities, 'All Tomorrow's Funerals', hit stores earlier this year.
We will see you all in the pit!

SKELETONWITCH Premiere Music Video For "The Infernal Resurrection" & Are Hitting The Road Today!

Today Ohio Metal titans SKELETONWITCH unveil their brand NEW video for “The Infernal Resurrection” via Metal Injection.net. The song comes off latest album, 'Forever Abomination' which cracked the Billboard Top 200, as well as Decibel's Top 40 of 2011 and finds the band doing what they do best: slaying ears in the live arena.

Click Here To Watch The Video

Like Satan himself set loose in the hallowed halls of Heavy Metal, these Athens-based headbangers careen wildly through the music’s history, gleefully destroying and setting flame to every genre along the way, only stopping at the forefront of today’s Metal scene to look back and watch that fucker burn -- and then piss on the flames. No other band has tapped into the fire, fury, and frost of all things Metal like SKELETONWITCH. Released last October through Prosthetic Records, 'Forever Abomination' continues to raise eyebrows with its relentless, fuck-all attack. In an 8/10 rating of the record, Decibel Magazine named SKELETONWITCH, “one of the most likeable bands in Metal,” Terrorizer dubbed Forever Abomination a “masterclass in modern Metal,” Revolver noted its “bad-ass Thrash attack,” while Pitchfork championed the offering calling it “exciting, skilled, fist-pumping, true-to-life stuff…”

SKELETONWITCH return to the road today beginning with a warm-up show in Cleveland before joining forces with The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile and labelmates Hour Of Penance for a four-week tour that concludes at the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival. This marks the group's first North American tour action of 2012. The band will take a brief break before heading overseas for a stretch of Euro dates. Confirmed dates thus far are included below:

BRUTAL TRUTH Unleash NEW Video; Confirm Tour With NASUM & DROPDEAD!

Grindcore subjugators BRUTAL TRUTH today unveil their brand NEW epilepsy-inducing society-hating politically-charged video for "Malice/Fuck Cancer", the latest in an ongoing bombardment of videos coinciding with their latest LP 'End Time'. This latest action-packed double-header was completed by Tyson Montrucchio who previously also directed BRUTAL TRUTH's videos for "Sugar Daddy," "Semi Automatic Carnation" and "Get a Therapist...Spare The World," in addition to working with Cattle Decapitation, Downspell and others.

So without further ado, just in time for your drunken Leap Year Hump Day festivities, MetalSucks is proud to give you "Malice/Fuck Cancer" at the link below.

This week BRUTAL TRUTH are crossing the southern border of our country to assault Mexico City at Eyescream Metalfest IV, set as one of the main headliners alongside Tankard, Voivod and more.

This very special final Nasum tour was booked in tribute to the band's late vocalist Mieszko Talarczyk, who tragically died in the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Max Cavalera Is Suffering From Bell's Palsy - Official Statement Available!

Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera is recovering from a bout with Bell's Palsy, a temporary condition that is a form of facial paralysis resulting from a dysfunction of the cranial nerve VII (the facial nerve) that results in the inability to control facial muscles on the affected side.

Cavalera was diagnosed with a case of Bell's Palsy last week upon his return from Australia. He consulted a doctor and was put on a course of antibiotics and is improving greatly and is expected to make a full recovery imminently. He thanks fans for their concern and well wishes and wanted his supporters to know that he is okay, since the condition manifests in the face and he ultimately didn't want fans to worry.

Of his recent illness, Max said, “I woke up one morning after coming home from Australia and the whole room was spinning. I looked at Gloria and said, 'There's something wrong here.'  She said, 'Your face looks weird.'  I went to the mirror and couldn't move half of my face.  We thought I was having a stroke, so we rushed to the hospital.  I learned my condition was called Bell’s Palsy but  I'd never heard of that.  It's a f---ng weird disease.  My right eye won't blink, and half of my face feels like I've been punched by Mike Tyson!  It hurts like hell.  Anyway, I am leaving for Brazil. The show must go on and this Bell's Palsy ain't gonna stop a Metalhead from his duties.  I hope I'll be ok and thanks to all the fans concerned with me.  Stay Metal."

We wish Max a prompt healthy recovery!

SOULFLY Premieres Music Video For "World Scum"!

Listen up Metaleros! The first video from Soulfly's upcoming album 'Enslaved' has been released for your viewing pleasure! The video was conceptualized by Max Cavalera and video director Thomas Mignone (Mudvayne, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Morbid Angel) and produced through his production company DOOM Incorporated. Mignone filmed the video in and around Los Angeles. Various scenes depicting humanity's perspectives of some of the world's significant historical events - such as the attack on the Russian Czar by nihilists, the mass production of Zyklon B poisons, the Gulag prisons, the assassination of the president, and a final showdown between Jesus and the Anti-christ - are seen and reflected in the song's lyrics. The cinematography is by Peter Leininger; the special efx makeup is by Maggie Hunter, the production design is by Hanna Dryland, and digital compositing & post-production is by editor/visual efx artist Christopher Neil.

Brutal Truth - Video Premiere Of 'Lottery'!

The brand NEW video from New York Grindcore mercenaries Brutal Truth, is available for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of Metal Injection. The epilepsy-inducing NEW visual assault was filmed for the track "Lottery," the tenth track from the crew's latest LP, 'End Time'.

"Lottery" is the first video from 'End Time' to hit the streets since the album was released in September, and was directed by David Hall of Handshake Inc. Stated Hall of the creation of the video and working with the band: "I think Kevin Sharp is a seriously underrated lyricist and therefore wanted to make the actual words of the song a part of the video. If you play the video at half speed you’ll be able to read the words and a get a sense of what is going on thematically. Visually, I wanted to recreate a visual memory of what it’s like to watch a Brutal Truth show… still not loud enough, still not fast enough’ – a blur of sounds and visions ground through your face, four unique and seriously talented players that form a grind-Voltron; a big noisy beast that spits super-acid in your face and defeats complacency and boredom."

Brutal Truth also filmed two additional NEW videos to coincide with 'End Time' -- videos crafted for the tracks "Fuck Cancer" and "Malice" -- once again with Tyson Montrucchio, who previously directed the band's videos for "Sugar Daddy" and "Get A Therapist... Spare the World." Stay tuned for more info as these NEW waves of band propaganda are disbursed in the coming weeks.

Now, watch the video!
