It has been announced that SUFFOCATION's show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY (which was scheduled for tomorrow November 10th) has been postponed to November 25th. The reason? The bar will be throwing a Sandy benefit tomorrow with Neon Indian, Buke and Gase Walter Schreifels.

The record was produced by the band and tracked at Full Force Studios in New York by longtime collaborator Joe Cincotta. 'Pinnacle of Bedlam' will feature 10 genre-defining-bone-crushing tracks and also marks the return of drummer Dave Culross, who played with the band previously on their 'Despise The Sun' EP.

Frank Mullen, front man for New York Death Metal veterans SUFFOCATION, recently gave an interview to Horns Up Rocks that spread very quickly about him no longer performing with the band full time (HERE is the full article).

The Misfits' Halloween Show Postponed Due To Weather Complications!

That bitch Sandy strikes again! The annual Misfits concert in New York City has been postponed due to weather conditions. This time around the concert was scheduled to take place tonight at the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan. Yes the storm is over, but it is still nearly impossible to get from point A to point B pretty much everywhere within the tri-state area.

There isn't a more iconic name in the horror Punk genre than The Misfits. Hailed as an influence and covered by numerous successful and diverse artists ranging from Metallica to Guns N' Roses, the band has remained relevant throughout its illustrious 35-year career. Formed in April 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey, and named after Marilyn Monroe's last movie, the band mixes the sound of Punk Rock with horror elements – a mix that has stood the test of time and become the group's legacy.

From their inception, The Misfits have been primal. Their music is aggressive, confrontational, and dangerous with violent lyrics as seen through the eyes of a monster, coupled with timeless vocal melodies bred from '50s Rock N' Roll. Immortalizing black and white B horror films in their music, The Misfits have developed a ghoulish and totally unique persona, from their handmade musical weapons to the stiletto hairstyle they call the "devil lock". Over 30 years on, the band has endured Hardcore's heyday as Punk Rock's monster squad, a group whose cult following – a pseudo-secret coven known as the "Fiend Club" – has inspired them to continue to write, record, and tour. These "Fiends," who are still multiplying globally, go back now several generations and also include many prominent artists across the Rock genre.

Although The Misfits' lineup has shifted over the course of its career, the group has consistently released incredible, genre-defining albums, including 'Walk Among Us' (1982), 'American Psycho' (1997), and 'Famous Monsters' (1999). Most recently, in 2011 the band released 'The Devil's Rain', its first album of NEW material in over 10 years. The band toured for a good portion of the year in support of the NEW release, unleashing a fresh stage production with all NEW costumes and props.

We will let you know when The Misfits bring their trademark brand of horror punk to New York City as part of their unforgettable Halloween bash. A reschedule date will be announced soon, so stay tuned.

Chaos Ensues In India After Organizers Postpone Metallica's Show!

Metallica was scheduled to perform their first-ever concert in India tonight (October, 28), but at the very last minute the organizers decided to postpone the concert until tomorrow night due to technical issues. The citizens of Gurgaon, India are pissed off! Here is a statement from Gurgaon police commissioner SS Deshwal.

"The organizers have informed the police that due to technical reasons they are postponing the concert. They have to explain why they canceled it! The organizers have to say why they cancelled (the show). They have to explain. They have canceled it without taking the district administration into confidence."

According to IBNLive.com, fans had already arrived in large numbers to Leisure Valley in Gurgaon, India today. The concert scheduled to begin at 7:30 (local time) was postponed only a few hours before the show was suppose to begin. After the fans heard that the concert was being postponed, they tried to sabotage the venue by breaking barriers, tearing posters up and some even climbed on stage.

"It is so disappointing. I have been standing in the line for two hours and then the organizers just announce that it has been postponed to tomorrow because of some technical difficulties," said Ramnik, a fan at the venue. Another fan Karan, who had come all the way from Mumbai, said, "I am very disappointed that the concert has been cancelled. I came all the way from Mumbai to see the concert. I have been standing for almost 2 hours now and have just been told that it has been postponed. No organizer has made any official statement if our tickets will be reimbursed or not."
