MESHUGGAH's Jens Kidman Makes Triumphant Return In New York City!

As previously reported, MESHUGGAH performed without their vocalist Jens Kidman in Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC and Philadelphia PA (HERE is what he had to say about this). Jens reportedly caught that nasty flu that has been floating around and was advised by his doctor to take some time off.

Well, last night the headbangers of New York City witnessed the triumphant return of Jens, who joined his bandmates onstage at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Right after the concert, Jens posted the following message on Facebook:

"New York! Thanks to all of you for the amazing support tonight. It has truly been some rough days for me, but I refuse to let you guys down. You rule and you never disappoint!!

"Hats off."

- Jens

LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe Lashes Out On Disrespectful Fans: "I have never been more disgusted with an audience in my life. I wish we hadn't played"

When Randy Blythe called for 60 seconds of silence during LAMB OF GOD's concert in Medford, Oregon, on Friday, December 14, to honor the victims (most of them shortly) of the Connecticut school shooting, he never thought he was going to get such a shitty reaction from the crowd. Get this, Blythe almost walked off the stage! Here is what he commented via his Instagram account:

"I have never been more disgusted with an audience in my life. I wish we hadn't played," he wrote.

"We, LAMB OF GOD, asked for sixty seconds of silence during our first set break to honor the dead children and teachers in Connecticut. It seemed appropriate — it's a goddamned national TRAGEDY.

"Most of the crowd complied, but several didn't, some cursing and even laughing.

"I wanted to walk off stage.

"I am so disgusted right now.

"If you were one of those who wouldn't shut up for SIXTY LOUSY SECONDS to honor twenty MURDERED CHILDREN, go look in the mirror. You are looking at a piece of shit. Your parents are obviously pieces of shit too, because they raised you to behave with no dignity.

"To the fans who were respectful, I thank you. I am also sorry you have so many goddamned assholes in your community. You should do something about that.

"This shit would not have happened at a LAMB OF GOD show where I live, and that is a FACT. We have more manners.

"I am just disgusted. Thoroughly DIGUSTED. You yelling people give Metal a band name. Screw that, you give humanity a bad name. Grow up. Your parents should have beaten some manners into you, you savage little beasts.

"With that, I will go to bed, say a prayer for those suffering, and hope for a better day tomorrow, because tonight SUCKED."

The mass shooting that took place at a Connecticut elementary school on Friday resulted in the deaths of 28 people, including 20 schoolchildren. It was the second-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, behind the 2007 Virginia Tech mass shooting that left 32 dead.

LAMB OF GOD's Chris Adler Comments On The Conclusion Of Randy Blythe's Comeback Tour + Extensive Image Gallery Unleashed!

The story of the year in Heavy Music is without a doubt the unforeseen arrest of LAMB OF GOD's vocalist Randy Blythe (Watch our video report HERE!). Blythe was arrested on June 28 this year at the Prague Airport on charges of causing, “bodily harm of the fourth degree, resulting in the death of a fan:” an event that allegedly took place during a Lamb Of God concert on May 24, 2010. Blythe was detained in a Czech Republic prison for thirty seven days before he was released on bail.

After having to cancel their highly anticipated co-headlining tour with DETHKLOK because of Blythe's arrest, once Blythe was free the LOG camp called up some of their favorite bands and were able to lineup a badass tour featuring IN FLAMES, HATEBREED or HELLYEAH, and SYLOSIS. The tour has come to an end, and in order to celebrate it in style we have an extensive photo gallery created by Horns Up Rocks' Zulie Alvarez. But before we get into that, here is what LAMB OF GOD's drummer Chris Adler had to say about the conclusion of the tour:

"By far one of the best Tours we've ever done has come to an end. Bitter sweet. It's been amazing to see Sylosis, Hatebreed OR HellYeah and In Flames every single night. We all get along like brothers and have had so much fun on and off the stage. I will miss them all as well as all of you that came out to support the tour. Thank you so very much!

"Now it's time to get home for the holidays with the family and I'm lucky to have that. Apparently, I'm being put right to work helping my wife pour candles to make all of her orders ship on time! Who would have thought?! Check out her website littlesilverlinings.com, or her Facebook page 'Little Silver Linings' and starting Tuesday I'll be adding my metal touch to all the orders!

"I hope all of you are well and I wish everyone a warm and safe Holiday Season. Stay metal!" - Chris Adler (LAMB OF GOD)

IN FLAMES: Anders Fridén On Touring With LAMB OF GOD, Bands Evolution & Musical Future!

For over 20 years the members of In Flames have been on a constant musical evolution in which they have pushed the boundaries of the Gothenburg Swedish Melodic Death Metal scene to the limit. While some may say that the band has experimented way too much with their sound, the reality is that In Flames have always stood out for making sure that every record they release is a different chapter of the In Flames book. With the release of their 10th studio album entitled 'Sounds of a Playground Fading' last year via Century Media Records, the band once again is proving that they do not like playing it safe.

Right before the bands recent set at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, we had the chance to chat with In Flames' frontman Anders Fridén about their current tour with Lamb Of God, Hatebreed and Sylosis. We also discussed the impact of Hurricane Sandy on the entire world and what the future plans are for the In Flames machine. Additionally, we chatted about the message behind Anders' lyrics and what the band wanted to accomplish when they released 'Sounds Of A Playground Fading'.

KORN Delivers The Madness At The Roseland Ballroom In New York City!

On Friday, November 4th, Nu Metal Kings Korn brought their musical potpourri to New York City's Roseland Ballroom. Joining them on the second show of the first leg of their "Path of Totality (P.O.T.)" tour, were dubstep DJ's Datsik and Downlink, as well as young upstart Dutch Dub-rockers Dope D.O.D.

While this opening acts were something extremely different for all the attendees and we find it great when artists attempt to open other peoples minds, we think they could have brought in one additional Rock band to perform prior to Korn's performance. Having a DJ perform for an entire hour before Korn's performance is a bit too much for the Rock crowd to stomach. We understand that Korn is venturing into the electronic music scene, but they are a Rock band!

The highlight of the opening acts was when Korn's vocalist Jonathan Davis joined DJ Downlink and performed 'Tension', a B-Side of Korn's forthcoming album "The Path of Totality" (set to be released on December 6th via Roadrunner Records).

Now that we got that out of our chests, lets analyze Korn's set. As soon as the band stepped on stage with their Old School look, we knew something good was about to happen. A few seconds later, they kicked off their set with their song 'Predictable' and the crowd went absolutely ape shit! Then they continued their set with classics like 'Lies', 'No Place To Hide', and 'Proud'.

All of a sudden they left the stage and came back looking more "modern", this is when they performed new songs out of their NEW album "The Path of Totality". While most of the crowd had never heard this songs before, Korn's musical energy made sure that the bodies kept grooving out of control!

After delivering 5 new songs to thousands of maniacs, the band performed their hits 'Here To Stay', 'Freak On A Leash', 'Falling Away From Me', and their Pink Floyd cover of 'Another Brick In The Wall'. Next thing you know the band gets off stage and Jonathan Davis returns with bagpipes in hand to perform 'Shoots and Ladders', which was without a doubt the highlight of the night! This was followed by a short version of Metallica's 'One', 'Got The Life' and of course 'Blind'!

At the end of the show, the crowd left sweaty, happy, and drunk! Korn once again proved why they are one of the best bands in Rock music today! If you have the chance to see them in a town near you, do your ears and body a favor: GO SEE KORN!
