GOJIRA Warns Fans About Fake Band Member Profiles On Facebook - Statement Available!

Last year, GOJIRA released their fifth studio album entitled 'L'Enfant Sauvage' via Roadrunner Records and it caused a lot of commotion within the Heavy Music world thanks to top quality that every song carries within the record. When you add this to their flawless live shows, it is safe to assume that GOJIRA are here to stay. The key is for them to remain consistent and for you to continue supporting them.

IMPORTANT INFO AND REMINDER:

Facebook profiles of Gojira Band members Joe and Mario Duplantier are FAKE. Joe and Mario do not have any Facebook account but are checking your messages and posts on the official Facebook page www.facebook.com/GojiraMusic

Also there is NO OFFICIAL Gojira FANCLUB at this time. All "fanclubs" you can find on the web and on Facebook are run by fans not by the band.

Make sure to SUBSCRIBE to the mailing list on our website to receive information on upcoming touring, access to presales and VIP and the latest official news from the band!

Thanks,
Gojira

We recently chatted with the bands drummer and co-founder Mario Duplantier. During the chat Mario discusses the bands mindset from the moment they started working on 'L'Enfant Sauvage' and how working with his brother Joe has been elemental for the success of GOJIRA. He also discussed how growing up in a small town in France helped to shape up the Duplantier brothers as musicians. Without further due, here is a video interview with one of the best drummers in Heavy Music. Enjoy!

DEVIN TOWNSEND Updates Fans About Tonight's New York City Show With GOJIRA & The Atlas Moth!

As the tri-state area of the United States awaits a pretty massive winter storm, a blizzard warning is in effect starting on Friday, February 8 at 6 AM ET and end at on 1 PM ET on Saturday, February 9, the big question a lot of headbangers have is whither or not the concert featuring GOJIRA, THE DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT, and THE ATLAS MOTH, will happen or not. The concert is scheduled to take place tonight at Irving Place in New York City.

Heavy Devy has released the following update regarding tonight's sold out concert:

"We're well aware that a pesky blizzard is expecting to hit the NY area tomorrow and at this point we are unsure what this will mean for the Irving Plaza show. Looks like the bands will be able to get there before the storm hits but if there's an official travel warning put out for cars and trains it may be cancelled by the promoter anyway. We also need to make sure that the bands are able to get out to play the rest of the tour so it's all a bit messy at the moment.

"We'll be having a talk with the promoter in the A.M. EST and will take it from there. More news to follow soon...
"

Finger crossed! And stay tuned as more information becomes available.

Devin describes the "Retinal Circus" as: "a retrospective of my career in music to date, with the central theme being a metaphor of how life and the adventures therein are a 'circus' of sorts. The show involves a cast of characters and guests that support this theme through carnival type performances. A story about how a troubled young man dreams of fantastic scenarios, (illustrated through the music of my back catalogue), which ultimately crests in the characters realization that life is all about the relationships we have with each other. This is the first opportunity I have been given to make theatrical representations of my music."

This three hour plus performance will include:

- A retrospective of Devin Townsend's entire career
- Full choir and theatrical cast
- Visual and aural enhancements unlike any show Devin has done to date
- Several special guests
- Circus and carnival performances and cast
- Art exhibit of Devin's albums, including explanations of each album

Devin Townsend wants to see YOUR animal instinct: listen to the NEW song "Lucky Animals" & be on DTP's next video!

Alpha-Animal Devin Townsend wants you to be in his NEW video clip for "Lucky Animals" off his upcoming album Epicloud (due out September 18th in North America). In order to become part of the video, all you have to do is become an  animal and film yourself, your friends or family while performing to "Lucky Animals." Be animalistic, be creative, be funny, be cute. But don't be cruel. Dress up like your favorite animal, if you like-- or film your own pet doing something funny (without hurting it or making it do something it doesn't like! Any video with cruel content will be declined!), do mammal stuff, play animal charade, use stuffed animals to tell a story, etc.

Visit www.luckyanimals.insideoutmusic.com to find all details and instructions, plus a short video from Devin!

Here is an audio stream of "Lucky Animals."

To hear more from Epicloud, watch the album teaser below (it features the album's intro, "Effervescent!").
