TESSERACT: New Singer Announced & Teaser For New Single "Nocturne" Released!

UK Progressive Metal band, TESSERACT, are excited to welcome Ashe O'Hara into the group as their NEW vocalist. Ashe's power, emotion, and diversity will help to continue the distinctive yet ever evolving TESSERACT sound. Hailing from Northampton originally, Ashe spent his early years singing in many different groups, from choirs to musical theatre, and has more recently worked on a number of ambient/alternative Metal projects as well as session work. Ashe currently resides in Hove, East Sussex and is eagerly awaiting the upcoming tour and working on the NEW album.

Comments Ashe: "I have always been an admirer of their work so it's pretty awesome to be passed such a challenging flame. I am very aware of the anticipation and I am certainly feeling the weight of it; but I am equally excited for what shall be an amazing and shithot experience!"

TESSERACT adds, "We realize that the vocalist search seemed like it took a long time, but we wanted to make sure that we found someone who was a perfect fit both on stage and in the studio and Ashe is just that. We very much appreciate the patience and support our fans have shown us and look forward to the next TesseracT chapter."

The first preview of that chapter, a teaser of the song, "Nocturne", can be heard here:

"Nocturne" will be available as a FREE legal download and streaming everywhere on October 12th.

"'Nocturne', is one of the most uplifting and exciting pieces of music we have created. It faithfully continues down the same vein of groovy and euphoric progressive soundscapes that we're known for. Whilst at the same time allowing for the musical evolution that is essential for any band that has a lineup change," says TESSERACT

TESSERACT also recently picked up the 'New Blood' award voted for by readers of PROG magazine at last week's first ever Progressive Music Awards in their native UK and are preparing to for a small run through the UK and Europe where you will have the chance to meet Ashe, too.

TESSERACT Premieres "Dream Brother" (Jeff Buckley Cover) - Listen Now!

UK's TESSERACT has just made "Dream Brother" available as stream via Metal Hammer UK's website, so head over to check out this very special cover of the song:

http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/tesseract-exclusive-tesseract-dream-brother-premiere/

Amos Williams (bass): "We decided to cover 'Dream Brother' (originally by Jeff Buckley) for an acoustic session in New York. Myself and Acle spent ages looking at different tracks. I think we entertained 'Tear Drop' by Massive Attack, 'Thin Air' by Anathema, and many more. But 'Dream Brother' just fits TESSERACT very well. Plus it is one of our collective favourite tracks. It's always a risk working with a track that you love, but we feel we did it justice. It's a great showcase for the musicianship in TESSERACT, and the deep emotive power that Elliot has added to the band since he joined."

"Dream Brother" will be out on the 'Perspective' EP that is set for a North American release of May 22 and a European release of May 21. The five song digital only EP features "Eden 2.0", acoustic versions of three tracks ["Perfection (acoustic)", "April (acoustic)", "Origin (acoustic)"] from the band's debut album, 'One', plus the aforementioned cover of Jeff Buckley's classic, "Dream Brother".  As a bonus, iTunes will offer instrumentals of all the songs on the EP.

Recently, TESSERACT has just launched a drum playthrough for the track "Eden 2.0".  This is the second playthrough that the band has launched for their upcoming EP, Perspective, that will be out on May 22 (North America, May 21 Europe).  The video playthrough of drummer Jay Postones playing along with "Eden 2.0" can be seen here:

Tommy Rogers From BTBAM Discusses 'Saints & Sinners' Tour & Upcoming Plans!

Raleigh, North Carolina, became a lot more fun at the turn of the century when Between The Buried And Me (A.K.A. BTBAM) surfaced into the musical spectrum. With 5 studio albums under their belt, and their NEW debut EP entitled 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues', BTBAM is ready to make even more noise in 2012.

BTBAM, recently concluded their fall North American headlining "Saints & Sinners" tour in New York City. The tour was in support of their new EP titled 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues'. The award winning band was accompanied by Animals as Leaders and TesseracT!

Before BTBAM took center stage, we had the chance to chat with their vocalist/keyboardist Tommy Rogers about the "Saints & Sinners" tour, the bands NEW EP 'The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues', and their upcoming plans for 2012. The interview also includes a holiday message from Tommy to all the BTBAM fans. Peel your eyes open, listen carefully, and spread the BTBAM word!

Between The Buried And Me Conclude Their 'Saints & Sinners' Tour In New York Rock City - Images Available!

Between The Buried And Me (A.K.A. BTBAM) concluded their fall North American headlining "Saints & Sinners" tour, last Sunday, December 11, at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. The tour was in support of their new LP titled "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues". The award winning band was accompanied by Animals as Leaders and TesseracT!

The show was a hit from the moment that TesseracT stepped on stage and delivered their perfect blend of DJent Metal. This U.K. band made it very clear while on stage that they have a lot of fire, and that they are continuously working on perfecting their musical craft. Their NEW singer Elliot Coleman, who caught a lot of low punches when he joined the band, definitely got the job done right and there is no doubt in our minds that he possesses the right attitude and mindset to be TesseracT's vocalist for years to come.

Then it was time for Animals As Leaders, an instrumental band that makes anybody's jaw drop thanks to their musical prowess. This three-piece sound a lot bigger than bands with 5+ band members. The term "less is more" applies perfectly to Animals As Leaders, and everyone's ear drums were fed some phenomenal music! We must also point out that their drummer, Navene Koperweis, is one of the best ones in the genre.

Finally, the moment that 1600 headbangers were waiting for arrived when Between The Buried and Me stepped on stage to deliver the musical goods to a wild crowd. If there was one advantage about catching the last show of the "Saints & Sinners" tour, it was that BTBAM didn't need to warm-up. These progressive Metallers had the crowd on their feet from the moment they stepped on stage, and didn't let anyone down throughout their entire performance. We had the chance to interview lead singer/keyboardist Tommy Giles Rogers before the bands set, so stay tuned for this epic interview!

Between The Buried And Me Announces Fall North American Headlining Tour!

Are you a Between The Buried And Me (A.K.A. BTBAM) fan? Well, the band has just announced a fall North American headlining tour in support of their new LP titled "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" (info about tickets below). The award winning band will headline the 2011 "Saints & Sinners" Tour and launch the six week trek on October 27th in Charlotte, North Caroline. Supporting the band on this tour will be Animals as Leaders and TesseracT!

"It will be so exciting to get back out on the road and play some tunes for all our wonderful fans," said BTBAM guitarist Paul Waggoner. "Our anticipation for this tour is massive and I hope that sentiment is shared by all the Metal geeks out there. The bill is loaded with some of the most forward-thinking, virtuosic musicians in the genre and the audience can expect to hear all 12 notes in every humanly audible octave many times during the course of the evening!"

Released on April 12 via Metal Blade Records, "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" is a three-song strong, 30 minute tour de force of modern Heavy Music. Produced and engineered by the Grammy award winning David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, King Crimson, Dream Theater, etc.) with BTBAM, the record soared to #54 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in its first week of release while landing the #5 spot on the Hard Music chart, and #8 on the Independent Albums chart in its first week of release. "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" also debuted in Canada charting at #62 on the Top 200 Current chart, #6 on the Hard chart, and #14 on the Independent chart.

"The response to the new album has been absolutely amazing!", commented BTBAM's Tommy Rogers. "It's always a rewarding experience to hear excitement about the music we create. These days it's hard to judge what people think of new music, and the feedback on tour and the Internet has really motivated us to create an even more bad ass record for the second part of 'The Parallax'. See you all on tour!"
