DYING FETUS Premiere Trailer For NEW Video; Tour With Revocation and Six Feet Under Kicks Off Tonight!

A little under two weeks remain before the highly anticipated release of the NEW DYING FETUS album 'Reign Supreme' which hits stores on June 19th. 'Reign Supreme' features nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know.

The band recently completed work on a video for the song "From Womb to Waste". The video features 12 camera angles from a live sold out show and was filmed and directed by Scott Hansen (Animals as Leaders, A Day to Remember). A trailer for the video can be seen below.

DYING FETUS are offering a FREE download of the track "Subjected to a Beating" on their Bandcamp Page HERE. The record is available for pre-order HERE.
As previously reported, DYING FETUS have received the honor of being inducted into Decibel Magazine's "Hall of Fame" for their classic album Destroy the Opposition, which was released in 2000 on Relapse Records. The issue with this special retrospective will be on newsstands at the end of the week and can be ordered directly HERE.

DYING FETUS kick of their summer touring season tonight as part of the "18 Nights of Blood Tour" in North America with label mates REVOCATION and Six Feet Under. They will also be on a headlining European tour which includes appearances at the "Copenhell Festival" in Copenhagen, Denmark, "Hell Fest" in Clisson, France, the "With Full Force" festival in Roitzschjora, Germany, "Sevilla Rock Festival" in Sevilla, Spain and the "Getaway Rock Fest" in Gävle, Sweden.

Open Letter From AXL ROSE About His Decision To Not Attend GNR's Induction Into Hall Of Fame!

To: Cleveland, Ohio, Guns N’ Roses Fans and everyone who’s shown support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

I seriously didn’t plan on or expect the overwhelmingly positive response and public support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. With such a generous outpouring of solidarity from fans, media outlets, writers and other artists, I’m truly humbled, blown away and unbelievably relieved! To be honest, I thought it would go the other way and was just hoping to weather the storm. As I said, I sincerely didn’t want to disappoint anyone. It gets old being the outlaw even if “it’s only rock and roll”.

It took a lot of focus and soul searching to be sincere and informative while making a genuine effort to be somewhat diplomatic. We made, what I feel, are real efforts to learn about the Hall and the Board, spoke as I said with the president and various members, and though I inducted Elton John and Bernie Taupin in ’94 saying something to the effect of “I’m learning what the Hall’s about…”

I still don’t exactly know or understand what the Hall is or how or why it makes money, where the money goes, who chooses the voters and why anyone or this board decides who, out of all the artists in the world that have contributed to this genre, officially “rock” enough to be in the Hall?

This isn’t an attack. These are genuine issues I don’t have enough verified information on to have more than rough ideas. Certainly not enough information to make any judgments about.

I would like to apologize to Cleveland, Ohio for not apologizing to them beforehand for not attending [the ceremony] in their city. I think they know how much I genuinely love performing there. Cleveland does in fact Rock!!

Now that the smoke’s cleared a little, any desperate, misguided attacks have been just that, a pathetic stab at gossip, some lame vindictiveness, the usual entitlement crap, he’s obsessed, crazy, volatile, a hater. I once bought a homeless woman a slice of pizza who yelled at me she wanted soup. We got her the soup. You can get your own.

Again: HUGE thanks to the fans and to everyone for the incredible public support. My congratulations to the other artists inducted. And my apologies to the city and people of Cleveland, Ohio. I hope you’ll forgive me and we hope to see you again soon!

Keep Rockin’,

Axl

Unlike my open letter to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Guns N’ Roses Fans and Whom It May Concern this was written for GNR’s official website, Facebook account and my personal twitter account and not intended as a press release. If anyone does choose to pick this up as has been done previously I’d appreciate if you’d run in full including this paragraph so as not to give a
partial picture, have things taken out of context or to imply or inadvertently give the impression this was intended for other outlets.

King Diamond Is Ready To Rock The World - Official Statement Available!

Danish Heavy Metal legend, Kim Bendix Petersen (A.K.A. King Diamond), was forced to take a break from his musical career in November 2010. In case you don't remember, on November 29, 2010, King Diamond was taken to hospital, where they discovered several blockages in his arteries due to his heavy smoking habit. They determined that he had several heart attacks and that he needed triple-bypass surgery. The surgery was performed successfully. On December 11, 2010 it was announced that he was at home recovering.

Late last year, King Diamond reappeared on stage at Metallica's 30th anniversary at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California. Today, it was announced that King Diamond is joining forces with ICM and the Agency Group (booking agents). Here is their Official statement:

"It is great to be in the top professional hands of Nick and Paul. They both come highly recommended by Brian Slagel of Metal Blade, who personally suggested the partnership that is now in effect. ICM and The Agency Group have so much combined experience, which will open new doors for us. When it comes to getting us back on stage again, we all agree on how to bring King Diamond to a whole new level. Within a few weeks, we should be able to announce the first part of our plan. WELCOME ON BOARD AND STAY HEAVY.”

King Diamond adds: "There’ll be a lot more great news coming the next couple of weeks. It’s been difficult keeping everything under wraps, but soon it will all be out in the open. I want to thank you for your amazing patience. We will get back to the Skype sessions in not too long as well."

Once open, the Library and Archives will be the world’s most comprehensive repository of written and audio-visual materials relating to the history of Rock music.
