On Friday, March 15, SOILWORK is taking over The Gramercy Theatre in New York City as part of the "World Infinity Tour". Joining the Swedish Metallers, who are celebrating the release of 'The Living Infinite' (available now via Nuclear Blast Records), will be Jeff Loomis, Blackguard, The Browning, and Wretched.

Ladies and gentleman, we have a winner for a pair of tickets to the return of PRONG to their stomping grounds of New York City! Mr. Sal "El Capitan" Suarez responded the following question correctly, and will be grooving with PRONG on the Hudson River!
When the bands front man Tommy Victor founded PRONG in the late 80's, he had a side job at a Rock venue in New York City. What was his job and were was he working at?
Sal's correct answer: Tommy Victor used to work as an Audio Engineer at CBGB's.
PRONG will be part of the Metal Insider Rocks Off Concert Cruise aboard the Star of Palm Beach. This special show will take place tomorrow (Friday October 19th) and is an official CMJ Show.
Support on the bill will come from This or the Apocalypse, For Sleeping or Jumping and Eminence.
Tickets for the show are on sale now and are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The cruise departs from Pier 40, located at West Houston St. at West Side Highway.
PRONG frontman Tommy Victor commented on the bands homecoming:
"PRONG has not played NYC since the release of our latest album 'Carved Into Stone Actually', we haven't done a gig anywhere in the five boroughs in a very long time. So I'm happy to announce our return home as we board the Rocks Off Cruise on Oct 19th for the Metal Insider Party at CMJ. The boat rolls out of New York Harbor and from what I hear it'll be circling the Statue of Liberty while we're on stage. What a great way to celebrate our return!"
PRONG is out on the road in support of their latest release 'Carved into Stone', which is quintessentially PRONG. It stretches into the band's earliest and dirtiest foundations on which the band was founded on to the present as a staple of today's post-Metal and Rock scenes.

Following
the cancellation of
the LAMB OF GOD, DETHKLOK and GOJIRA tour due to the incarceration of LAMB OF GOD's
Randy Blythe (who was finally freed last week), the members of GOJIRA are
very eager to get on the road to present the masses their latest
record 'L'Enfant Sauvage'. The GOJIRA camp has been very busy
booking a string of intimate gigs along the East Coast and in the
Midwest, including a slot on the second day of Knotfest, the two-day,
two-state event curated by their labelmates, Slipknot.
After
quickly selling out their New York City show at Santos Party House, the
band has added a second show at The Studio at Webster Hall with special
guests CAR BOMB. Details below.

Whoever claims that the Bronx is dominated by Rap and Hip Hop, hasn't been exposed to the furious Demized. Formed in November 2003, Demized is one of New York's most Extreme Metal bands, and are definitely keeping the New York Death Metal (NYDM) flame burning! Here is his entry: My wife is preggers with our 3rd kid - she says no because its too expensive with the new baby. I told her we could sell the other 2 kids, and use the dough for the show AND then eventually have only kid! (and figurative 1st).
She said I'm getting too old for mosh pits - but i told her my nuts are shriveling up anyway, so one last doll up of testosterone at FNM will make me feel 20 again - and she can have her young stud back for 1 night!! I need these tix before I'm officially locked down at the pad and t-ball games FOREVER!! AAAAgggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!
