Jeff Loomis forced to miss a few shows of the SOILWORK tour - Official statement available!
Talk about a rough tour for multi-talented guitar player Jeff Loomis. First his van gets broken into and robbed in St. Louis, Missouri (details HERE). And now he has received news that his father has passed away, which means Loomis needs to miss some of tour dates of his tour with SOILWORK. Here is a statement posted by Loomis regarding this very sad news:
"On April 22nd in Corpus Christi, Texas, I got the very sad news of my father's passing right before we were about to perform. I will be flying home to be with my family tonight and will rejoin the SOILWORK tour in Richmond, Virginia on the 29th. Thank you all for your support and warm thoughts.
"My dad meant the world to me and this is a very difficult time for both me and my family…"
Our condolences go out to Jeff and his entire family!
Loomis has set up a paypal account for any amount of donations to assist them for the duration of the tour.

Jeff Loomis Robbed In St. Louis - Official Statement Available!
Jeff Loomis is currently trekking all over North America with SOILWORK. Last night, Loomis and his band members had their van broken into in St. Louis, Missouri. Here is Loomis' official statement:
"Last night after our show in St. Louis, our tour van was broken into as we were grabbing a bite to eat before our drive to Dallas. We were parked in a well lit area in front of the restaurant. In the ten to fifteen minutes that it took for us to order our food and eat, all of our personal items such as laptops, cameras, musical equipment, cell phones, passports and money were stolen. We came outside to find the lock on the driver side door popped out of the van, and promptly called the police. A report has been filed and the van was fingerprinted, but the leads don't seem promising. The police stated that this is apparently a common occurrence for the area. We are all in disbelief, but are very fortunate for everyone to be ok.
After discussing the situation as a group, we would like to try to continue on with this tour. But to be able to do this, we will need your help. We have all taken a huge hit financially, and we cannot continue on without some sort of support. We have set up a paypal account for any amount of donations to assist us for the duration of the tour.

SOILWORK's Dirk Verbeuren: 'The Living Infinite', Upcoming Tour, Drumming Techniques & The Music Industry!
As previously announced, 'The Living Infinite', the ninth studio album and first dual-disc release by Swedish melodic Metal maestros SOILWORK, will be unleashed on February 27th in Asia (via license to Marquee Records), in Europe on March 1st, and in North America on March 5th (via Nuclear Blast Records). Peep the album cover and track listing HERE!
Earlier this week, we tapped into Dirk Verbeuren's phone line and questioned him about the bands NEW record. During our chat with SOILWORK's drumming machine, we discussed why the band decided to have the balls to produce a dual disc in a time in which most bands are sticking to releasing "short" format releases since the music industry is an all time low and record sales are compromised as a result. We also chatted with him about his drumming techniques both on and off stage, and what producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, God Forbid) brought to the table. Verbeuren also offered us some insight on the music business and how this recently affected the future of Dave Lombardo in SLAYER! Check the interview out and spread the word! The tracks “Spectrum Of Eternity” (http://bit.ly/swsoeitun) and “This Momentary Bliss” (http://bit.ly/swtmbitun) are now available for purchase; in two weeks, two more songs will be made available. Pre-order the album on iTunes here: http://bit.ly/swtlitune
In celebration of their highly anticipated album, SOILWORK will kick off their world tour with a 55-show headlining trek through the U.S. and Canada this March. Support comes from Jeff Loomis, Blackguard, The Browning, and Wretched.

SOILWORK Reveal NEW Album Artwork & Track Listing!
'The Living Infinite', the ninth studio album and first dual-disc release by Swedish melodic Metal maestros SOILWORK, will be unleashed on February 27th in Asia (via license to Marquee Records), in Europe on March 1st, and in North America on March 5th.
Produced by Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, BLOODBATH), 'The Living Infinite' features artwork by MNEMIC’s Mircea Eftemie Gabriel who shares:
"Seven years ago, I created the artwork for the Stabbing The Drama album and I can’t believe how time flies! Here we are, with sexy gray hairs, working with my friends in SOILWORK again. This time, we built the cover around a maritime concept, aiming for something direct and symbolic. I believe we achieved that quite well. From my creative deck, I salute you and say: ‘Long Live The Living Infinite.’"
SOILWORK states:
“After commissioning some pretty elaborate covers for the last couple of records, we decided to try something more sober and design-oriented for The Living Infinite. Who better to call than the man who created the iconic Stabbing The Drama cover? Mircea Gabriel Eftemie is not only a close friend but also an incredible graphic designer. We’re all stoked about his work which is different from anything SOILWORK has ever done and perfectly suits the elegant oceanic concept of The Living Infinite. Enjoy folks!”

Tracklisting for The Living Infinite is as follows:
- CD 1
01. Spectrum Of Eternity
02. Memories Confined
03. This Momentary Bliss
04. Tongue
05. The Living Infinite I
06. Let The First Wave Rise
07. Vesta
08. Realm Of The Wasted
