Finnish Power Metallers SONATA ARCTICA recently wrapped up their North American 'Stones Grow Her Name' tour with ARSIS. Once again the Power Metal quintet were received with plenty of enthusiasm by their devoted fans, who sang along night after night to songs like "Full Moon", "Replica", "Paid In Full", and "Black Sheep". Additionally, the band presented the masses with a ton of NEW songs from their latest album entitled 'Stones Grow Her Name' (available now via Nuclear Blast Records).
Prior to the first stop of the tour on December 6, 2012, at New York City's Gramercy Theatre, we had the chance to chat with the bands keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg and their bassist/former guitarist Marko Paasikoski. During the interview, which you can watch below, we discussed the 'Stones Grow Her Name' tour and they shared a ton of useful tips for musicians from all levels and walks of life. Without further due, here is video footage of our interview with Henrik and Marko from one of Finland's finest musical exports since CHILDREN OF BODOM! Enjoy!!!

As previously reported, ELUVEITIE has announced that they have parted ways with guitarist Simeon Koch after eight years.
Commented the band in a collective statement: "Sime was thinking about this since quite a long time already and finally decided to take this step. He will set about some new goals in his life — both vocational and familial — which will make it impossible for him to play in a touring band.
"We'd like to make you aware of two special shows: Sime will share the stage with us as special guest on the 20th of September in the Kofmehl (Solothurn, CH) and on the 29th of December in the Eulachhalle (Eluveitie & Friends festival, Winterthur, CH)! Don't miss it!
"At the same time it's about time to introduce you to the man who will follow in Sime's footsteps! His name is Rafael Salzmann [pictured below] and he will play the upcoming tours with us as a live session guitarist.

ELUVEITIE has announced that they have parted ways with guitarist Simeon Koch after eight years.
Commented the band in a collective statement: "Sime
was thinking about this since quite a long time already and finally
decided to take this step. He will set about some new goals in his life —
both vocational and familial — which will make it impossible for him to
play in a touring band.
"Sime was part of ELUVEITIE
for right years now, part of our little, crazy family — and we will
dearly miss him. But at the same time we're thankful for the awesome
time we spent together. We wish him and his family all the best for his
personal and vocational future!

"At the same time it's about time to introduce you to the man who will follow in Sime's footsteps! His name is Rafael Salzmann [pictured above right] and he will play the upcoming tours with us as a live session guitarist.
"Rafael is a gifted musician and very skilled guitar player and he also already has been working together with Anna in the Soundfarm Studios. Now we're looking forward a lot to rock the stages together with him!
"On a related note, Päde [Kistler, flutes] will have to take a short leave for personal reasons as well and will rejoin our tour with SABATON in the beginning of October. In the meantime, there's still seven of us left to kick some ass all over Europe!"
Added Simeon Koch: "A couple of months ago, I informed my bandmates that I'll leave ELUVEITIE
in September 2012 for familial reasons. It was a very tough call, it
was difficult to make this decision — in a way the band is part of the
family too, after all. I will dearly miss ELUVEITIE. But,
fortunately, the world (or rather Switzerland) is small: I will still
play the upcoming shows in Solothurn's Kofmehl and the Eluveitie & Friends festival with full commitment! I wish the band all the best and accident-free upcoming tours!"

I have no interest in working with Wayne Static, now, or anytime in the foreseeable future, so I will not be part of this version of Static-X. As for Prong, I will not be performing with them due to my current commitments to Soulfly. However, I do look forward to working with Prong again in the near future. If you haven't checked out Carved Into Stone yet, what the hell are you waiting for? \m/"

As previously reported, DYING FETUS have confirmed a June 17th release date for their NEW album entitled 'Reign Supreme'. The album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know. The album artwork for 'Reign Supreme' has been revealed and can be viewed on the latest official album teaser for 'Reign Supreme' (available within the video interview clip). The teaser also contains the first samples of NEW music from the album.
Last week, we had the chance to chat with FETUS' drummer Trey Williams at the "Metalliance Tour" in New York City. During the conversation, he discussed the production process behind the bands NEW album, the bands touring plans for 2012, and the "Metalliance Tour". Watch it, share it, and go see DYING FETUS live!

This Tuesday, January 17, Biohazard will celebrate the release of their NEW album 'Reborn In Defiance' via a hometown CD release show at The Gramercy Theatre in New York City. 'Reborn In Defiance' marks the first time in 18 years that the band records an album with their original lineup (Evan Seinfeld, Bobby Hambel, Billy Graziadei & Danny Schuler). Produced Toby Wright (Alice in Chains, Metallica), the NEW Biohazard album will be available worldwide January 20th, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Tuesday's show will also be the kick off of their 18 month world tour. In order to celebrate the release of their NEW album the best way possible, Biohazard hand picked some of the best New York City bands to help them destroy The Gramercy Theatre. Kicking off the show at 6 PM will be Wrench from Brooklyn, NY, followed by New York City Metallers Ikillya. Additional acts include Wisdom in Chains, This is Hell and Sworn Enemy. This show is NOT to be missed!
