On February 19,KORN posted a NEW group shot that includes Brian "Head" Welch as a member of the band (peep it HERE).The whole reuniting of the band begun last summer, when former guitarist Brian "Head" Welch joined the band at the Carolina Rebellion festival at the legendary Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, North Carolina to perform the bands classic hit song "Blind".
Welch left KORN in 2005 to become a born-again Christian after years of hard drug and alcohol abuse while in the band. Although Welch has a NEW band called LOVE AND DEATH, "Head" is happy with his current relationship with the members of KORN. Loudwire recently chatted with "Head" about LOVE AND DEATH, and about his future in KORN. Check it out:

Although Welch has a NEW band called LOVE AND DEATH, both he and KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu said that a reunion could be possible one day under the right conditions. Until yesterday (February 19), the big question was whither or not "Head" will return to the band full time.According to the bands NEW group shot (see above), "Head" is back in the band! It is well known within the music industry that bands only update their group shots when they have a NEW lineup or when they are entering a NEW album cycle.
During a recent interview with Rollingstone.com, "Head" was asked about the possibility of the U.S. getting a full Korn tour with himself in tow. To that he replied: “We’re going slow. We’re hanging out when I’ve got time, but I’ve got my album out, and they’re busy doing their stuff. But I’d say anything is possible right now.”

The 2013 Rock On The Range festival concert will take place on May 17, 18 and 19, in Columbus, Ohio. The event will take place at the Columbus Crew stadium (as usual). Kerry King (SLAYER): "The first time I heard PANTERA was at a club
they were playing. We were going through Texas, and it was a day off
before we actually played. I can't remember if somebody suggested we go
there or if we ended up there. That's how it went down. That was before
'Power Metal'. Philip was in the band, but I don't think the album was
out yet. Philip was awesome, and Dime was awesome. I'm a guitar and
vocal kind of guy. I'm extremely happy we were able to do a PANTERA run.
At the end of the day, it was the last PANTERA run. I'm glad we got to
make that happen. Dime and I wanted to tour together forever. After
that, we did some of DAMAGEPLAN's last run. We had a lot of experience
with the PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN boys."
Jonathan Davis (KORN): "I remembering hearing the groove metal, crunchy guitars, and Philip Anselmo going off. There was this intense aggression, but you could move and dance to the music. I absolutely loved that groove element. 'Vulgar Display Of Power' really got me into metal. HELMET was another one of those bands along with PRONG. I love swinging groove, and PANTERA were the kings of that. Every time KORN played in Dallas, Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul would come out and see our shows. They were good times. Dimebag did not deserve what he got. I got to sit down with Philip one time, and I just thanked him. I said, 'You're the one who inspired me to do metal music, and I just want to thank you.' He was like, 'Man, that's crazy!' I like all of his side projects too. There's one band he did called CHRIST INVERSION which is crazy, satanic evil music. It's really cool and dark."
Rob Zombie: I first heard them when we played with them. We played a show with them at a club in Brooklyn called L'amour. That was early on. Cowboys From Hell had just come out. That was my first time hearing them.
Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT & STONE SOUR): I saw Pantera with White Zombie in 1996. That was just a ferocious concert, man. That was officially the last time I was in a moshpit too because I had a nipple ring get ripped out in the pit. I was like, "That's all for me! Thank you very much! I don't think I ever want to do this again" [Laughs].

KORN have announces that they will be reuniting with former guitarist Brian "Head" Welch for two shows at next year's edition of the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals, set to take place June 7-9, 2013 in the German towns of Nürburgring and Nürnberg, respectively. This is what the band to say about this:

Last night, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie certainly didn't play nice with each other at the DTE Energy Music Theater, in Detroit, Michigan (the ninth stop of a 36-city "Twins of Evil Tour.")
Manson and Zombie appear to have a serious beef with each other after Manson accused his fellow co-headliner of cutting his set short. Rob Zombie has reacted with the following statement:
"As stupid as this all is, I feel I must clear things up a little better. First off, I want to thank all the fans who came out in the freezing cold in Detroit last night. It was a total blast as always.
"Unfortunately things turned ugly backstage. Why? I don't know, but for some reason our touring partner (Marilyn Manson) decided to end his set by blaming me for something that I had nothing to do with and screaming he was going to "kick Rob Zombie's ass as soon as he got off stage".
"Go figure. I was backstage hanging, watching the show thinking "hey this is gonna be a great night", when suddenly he starts screaming threats. So strange. I don't get it. Christ, I've known some of his crew for 20 fucking years and some of his crew used to work for me. It's all good. No one would fuck with someone's show. It is ridiculous.
"Well, of course I felt the need to respond to the " kick my ass remark". Who wouldn't? Although I wish I had kept it backstage and kept the fans out of it. It is all 4rd grade fight after school nonsense of which I have never dealt with on tour before. Co-headlining tours always go smooth because everything is cut 50/50 and I mean everything. No one fucks with anyone's show. It is even fucking Steven.
"I've done it co-headlining tours many times before and have had no troubles. Not with Pantera, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Korn, Megadeth or anyone ever. So I didn't expect any troubles on this. It seemed like a great idea at the time.
"But shit happens. Anyway, sorry to the fans who had to dealt with the embarrassing stupidity of it all. We are all there for the same reasons to give you the best show ever… that's it."
