CONVERGE Suffer A Road Accident, But The Show Must Go On - Statement Available!

This just in: CONVERGE was involved in a road accident earlier today (Wednesday, October 24) when the group's van hit a patch of black ice on its way to the CONVERGE's Seattle gig. Jacob Bannon (vocalist) posted the following statement online:

"Yesterday, after ten hours of driving, we hit black ice in the Oregon mountains. We were forced to crash into a highway divider in order to keep from sliding under 18 wheelers. Though we were all alright, we were precariously stuck facing the wrong direction on the highway for a few hours. With a little ingenuity and the help of a highway worker with some tow chains, we managed to pry our bumper off our front wheels. A few hours later, we were back on the road. Never take anything for granted. Just got to Seattle, time for a positive show. Thanks people."

We are glad to hear that everyone within the CONVERGE camp are safe and sound!

Converge Are Entering The Studio Today To Record NEW Album!

As previously announced, Converge are in the midst of the production of their NEW album entitled 'All We Love We Leave Behind'. Today (January 23), the band has entered guitarist Kurt Ballou's Godcity studios in Salem, Massachusetts, to record the bands eighth studio album, which is tentatively due late spring/early summer via Epitaph Records, and will be the follow up to the bands latest CD entitled 'Axe To Fall'.

'Axe To Fall' was released on October 20, 2009, and sold 3,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week of release. It also debuted at position No. 163 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Massachusetts Hardcore Metallers Converge, have announced that the name of their NEW album is 'All We Love We Leave Behind'. The bands eighth studio album is tentatively due late spring/early summer via Epitaph Records, and will be the follow up to the bands latest CD entitled 'Axe To Fall'.

'Axe To Fall' was released on October 20, 2009, and sold 3,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week of release. It also debuted at position No. 163 on the Billboard 200 chart.
